In 2018, I made a big decision. After 16 + years in financial planning, I decided it was time for a change - not because I had the next big thing lined up, but because I felt a deeper calling. 

I wanted to create something that was truly mine, something that could make a real difference. 

So, I sold my financial planning business and took a leap into the unknown.

My journey began with a podcast. The goal? To inspire and educate, to touch lives in a meaningful way. It was a new chapter, one that brought me to LinkedIn to share my thoughts and connect with others. Little did I know, a simple video post in April 2018 would turn everything upside down. 

Suddenly, companies big and small were reaching out, drawn to the unique blend of my corporate background and this fresh, authentic approach I was taking on LinkedIn.

It was a lightbulb moment. The corporate world was hungry for genuine connection, for personal branding that resonated on a human level. 

So, I founded a new venture focused on just that. Helping leaders and entrepreneurs across the globe build powerful personal brands on LinkedIn became my new mission.

Fast forward to today, I've had the privilege of hosting the most successful entrepreneurs on my podcast, speaking at events worldwide, and most importantly, guiding others to find their purpose and voice online.

Growing up in an immigrant household influenced how I approach responsibility and decision making. I learned early the value of restraint, consistency, and thinking beyond the short term. For a long time, that translated into staying contained, capable, observant, and steady, but often behind the scenes.

Over time, I came to understand that leadership does not begin with confidence.
It begins with clear decisions and consistent action.

That insight reshaped how I approach my work, habits, and sense of direction. Supported by formal training as a certified coach, I continue to study how identity, standards, and discipline influence behavior, growth, and self leadership over time.

My approach is grounded, intentional, and non performative, centered on clarity, consistency, and long term thinking rather than visibility or hype.

1. Cognitive Fluency
The brain trusts what’s easy to process. When something feels complicated, the nervous system reads it as risk.
If your offer takes effort to understand, people hesitate. Clear messaging converts better than clever messaging. Simplicity signals safety.

2.Mere Exposure Effect
Repeated exposure increases familiarity and liking, even without conscious awareness.
Trust isn’t built in one viral post. It’s built through consistent, recognizable presence. Repetition lowers resistance. 

3.Loss Aversion
The brain is more motivated to avoid loss than to pursue gain.People don’t act because of what they might achieve. They act because of what staying the same is costing them. 

4.Authority Heuristic
The brain defers to perceived authority to conserve mental energy.Authority is not over explaining. It’s decisiveness, boundaries, and clarity. 

5.Affect Labeling
Naming emotions reduces amygdala activation and increases prefrontal regulation.Instead of hype, name what your audience is feeling.
“You’re overwhelmed.”
“You don’t want to make the wrong choice.”
Clarity calms the brain. 

6.Temporal Discounting
The brain undervalues future rewards compared to immediate relief. If your offer only promises long term transformation, conversions suffer. Anchor your message in immediate outcomes such as clarity, relief, and reduced uncertainty. People buy peace before progress.

4. Use the pomodoro technique - so many timers available online

The fear of being seen is self abandonment. 




Fear of being seen can come in different forms:

Not posting on social 
Not starting that business 
Not speaking up when you know you should 

What you’re really telling yourself is that fitting is the price to belong. 

The consequences?

Staying stuck
Feeling bad about yourself everyday 
Being resentful of others who are doing what you wanted

Most people set their goals on a day they feel:
Motivated 
Energized 
Ready 

But the reality is that not everyday looks like that.

When you don’t show up for yourself, you are constantly breaking your confidence. 

A big mistake people make is they plan their goals around the days they feel motivated instead of planning of when they know life is going to get in the way. 

When you have a system in place that allows you to show up, you build your confidence little by little.
