Backstory:

I come from a financial background, with over a decade of experience in several roles between Australia and Sri Lanka. 

In 2019, I quit my full-time job in Sydney to travel and take a career break, and moved across the planet to Mexico. Later, I started building a remote business drawing from my experiences and adventures.

Thilini Wijesinhe

I'm a freelance copywriter and content writer, with the occasional dabble into features for publications.

My long, twisting career has included occupational therapy, public health, community development and the disability sector. It's been a fun ride.

After I finished a Master of Public Health, I moved to India for four years to work in the community development sector. It was during this time, while blogging my experiences, that I fell in love with writing.

So I embarked on a series of courses, from creative writing to feature articles, content and copywriting. And in 2020, when it became clear that my sourdough-baking skills weren't going to take me anywhere, I decided to become a writer instead.*

*Full disclosure: I have no sourdough-baking skills. Or any kind of baking skills, really.
