People call me ‘lucky’ for having a powerful network. They don’t know that I spend 8+ hours every week to build it.

The biggest MYTH young people are sold is that you can build a reputation just by doing the bare minimum (commenting; DMing; etc). 

It’s like showing up at the gym once and expecting a great body. 

Muscle (like trust) grows with repeated effort. 

This is why I’m never lazy when it comes to building relationships. Not when I started working. Not now. Not ever. 

To me, building a network is about: 

> remembering small details that matter to people
> making introductions without being asked
> celebrating others’ wins louder than your own
> checking in when there’s nothing to gain 

It’s about showing up for people. 

Because reciprocation is the real currency of relationships.

The math won’t math if you expect someone to help you merely because you sent them a jargony DM. 🤷‍♀️

Relationships are work. 

Put in the work.

I don’t “network.” I go straight to the person who can say yes. It's how I book calls with multi-millionaires and end up working with them.

If I had to give ONE piece of advice to every ambitious girl or woman, it would be this: always reach out to the highest authority. CEOs. Senior leaders. Investors. The people who can actually make decisions. Not because you want shortcuts, but because you want clarity.

Most of us hesitate to do this. We assume they’re too busy. We worry we’ll look desperate. We overthink the “perfect” message. 

But here’s the truth: the system is designed to filter you out. The top is where decisions happen quickly, if you show up with proof and a clear ask.

For example, if you’re applying for a job, don’t just DM the recruiter and hope for a response. Reach out to an investor who’s invested in the company, or a leader who understands the team’s real needs. Show them your work. And explain your value. 

If they refer you or introduce you, you’ve bypassed the noise and turned yourself into a credible signal.

The only way this works is if you’ve done your homework. You know your skill set. You understand what they care about. You’re direct, respectful, and specific. 

So please don’t shy away from reaching out to authority figures. They appreciate initiative more than you think. Trust me. I’m a living example of this. I will always write to the CEO. Every single time.

How I brag (without being "cringe") so it brings me career opportunities and gets me into rooms that matter: 

Let me clear the air first: Bragging isn't about being self-centered, or impressing people or being the loudest person in the room. 

Real bragging is ‒ setting the context of your capabilities. 

The people who rise to the top, those who raise funds, and the ones who influence rooms aren't humble. 

They know how to brag so that it actually makes people lean in vs. pushing them away. 

Here's my "quiet flex" formula you can use whenever you want to brag: 

1) Create a "Judgment Bank"

I keep a running note of:

- Problems I solved
- Problems I got stuck in
- Decisions I made
- Tradeoffs I owned
- What changed because I was there

Not merely outcomes I created, but how I think. 

This creates more leverage for you, without needing to “sell yourself.”

2) Pick how you want to be described when you’re not in the room

Some examples:

“I’m obsessive about user pain.”
“I’m good at simplifying messy problems.”
“I move fast without breaking trust.”
“I’m a research-first builder.”
“I’m creative, but practical.”
“I turn chaos into systems.”
“I ship, then I iterate.”

Once you've chosen how you want to be known, spend 90% of your time ensuring that your actions match it. 

3) Brag about your mission, not about numbers

Sometimes the strongest flex is:

- the problem you’re willing to spend years solving
- the kind of work you care about
- the standard you refuse to lower
- the impact you want your career to create

This kind of brag feels like leadership. Not ego.

I took 3 international trips last year while growing a business. 
How? Because of my "rich life money rules". 

This ain’t me bragging. 

This is a post about how to *realisitically* use your money (no matter how much you earn) to design your rich life. 

Mid-20s is a great time to make these money rules. 

Here are the steps I follow 👇🏻

> Identify what’s something you never want to think about when spending. 

Could be food, health, travel. 

For me, it’s books and health. Even though I love travelling, it’s always budgeted now. 

> Know your season. 

Are you in the season of spending? Or saving? Or aiming to make more money? 

You need to make peace with your season and never ever let external factors impact you. That’s your power. 

For example, right now I’m in the season of controlled spends. I’m fully okay with that! 

> Redefine what “rich life” means for you.

For me, my rich life is: 

a) I have a comforting home
b) I’m physically active and challenging my body 
c) I’m constantly upgrading my intellectual abilities 
d) Funds and investments that power my future goals 
e) Not letting someone’s else’s lifestyle control mine
d) Mindful wardrobe, experiential eating and supporting my family 

For you, it could be different. 

Define that. And channel your money accordingly.

when you raise your standards, you stop being convenient. you stop being agreeable. you stop letting “good enough” pass just because it keeps things moving. you become the person who forces decisions. who catches the lazy thinking. who makes the work sharper.

people might call you difficult. intense. too much. but that’s what happens when you rise. higher standards don’t just create better work - they create leadership. because convenience has never built excellence. it has only built comfort.

Questions I'm sitting with after South Park Commons India Demo night 👇🏻

Companies that demoed were building astrology-tech, AI companions, intimate digital spaces for couples, networking app for Tier 2/3 India and gov-tech.

I left with more questions than answers. If you have thoughts about these spaces, I'm open to hearing all opinions. 

1) AI Astrologers - chat with AI personas anytime you need guidance (by AppsForBharat)

🤔 When someone's stressed and asks "what does my kundali say" - will the AI persona offer spiritual guidance or emotional support? What's the difference?
🤔 If people are already seeing human astrologers - Is the goal to create space for reflection or just pacify them? 

2) Companion AI - AI friend for when you need someone to talk to, already deployed and recently tested with delivery workers in Bangalore (by Fest)

🤔 For delivery workers who might not have frameworks for emotional maturity - does the AI need to be more emotionally coherent to actually create good outcomes?

🤔 When asked about mental health risks, the answer was "too early to say." But studies already exist. Why wait to engage with them?

3) AI Tutor - personalized teacher for tier 2-3 India (by Seekho, 25M users)

🤔 Is the company focusing on retention metrics or actually building capability? If capability is the core focus, how will these winning outcomes be measured? 

🤔 India's edtech story has seen the same arc over and over again, AI is well-positioned to change lives but only if the company's incentive and the user's incentive are aligned?

My biggest question by the end of the night: How do we build AI for people who might be vulnerable - lonely, under-educated, underserved - in ways that create actual winning outcomes for them, not just engagement metrics for us?

These companies are tackling real problems - loneliness, education access, cultural needs. My questions aren't dismissals, they're genuine curiosity about how we build responsibly.

you can say "growth matters". but if learning never makes it to the calendar, it doesn’t.
you can say "health matters". but if rest is always negotiable, it doesn’t.
you can say "deep work matters". but if your day is wall-to-wall calls, it doesn’t.
