I have taken this lifelong passion into a 25-year career of solving business problems by using data - starting in Finance, keen to automate my reports to leading a Media Operations group responsible all Data Ops, Business Intelligence, Digital Operations, Digital Performance for over $1bn Ad Spend per year.

Data is more than just analytics - it is now a core part of any business - an electronic record of a business function. Operational data will be passed between applications to automate business tasks, transactional data will be a record of the outcomes of all of these events.

This data can be ignored or it can be used to create value such as 

 - the ability to immediately take advantage of new technology via ease of integration,

Within IPG Mediabrands, I lead my team to complete a core business process review that resulted in 16 projects that created $3.2m pa in operational savings across all agencies. These projects included implementing Asana (workflow management tool) across 700 staff & teaching the business the importance of data governance & data standards in order to automate huge parts of their work.

Along the way, I discovered data visualization & how humans successfully learn information. The science behind the human cognitive function is enthralling & I teach others how to use this information to deliver business information in ways that it is easily understood by the audience using techniques & tactics which draw from how we have evolved as a human race.
