It said...

Most wouldn’t make it past episode 5.

Here’s a real example of what NOT to do:

Host: “Where can people find you?”

“Go to Capital Group dot com…”
“Or email me…”
“Or Google me…”

Four options! Zero clarity. No urgency.
 
A perfect recipe for watching warm leads evaporate.

IF you haven’t seen the clip 🙄 Stop and go watch it. It’s chaos.

Where it went wrong:

Too many choices. 
(Listeners don’t want a scavenger hunt.)

No clear direction. 
(Confusion kills conversions.)

No urgency. 
(Give them a reason to act right now.)

Podcast listeners are primed.
They already trust you.
They want the next step.

And if you don’t give it to them?

They move on. Fast.

How to Fix It (The Operator Way):

1. Pick ONE destination.
One link. One action. One funnel.

2. Make it stupid-simple.
Short. Memorable. Easy to type.

3. Add scarcity.
Eg:
 “Email me at joe@capital.com...
 ...First 3 listeners get a free 30 minute underwriting breakdown.”

Now you’ve created urgency.
 Now you’ve created action.
  Now you’ve created money.

Most people go on podcasts and waste the shot.
 
You fix your CTA, and your conversions will spike like asset prices in 2020.

3 months into learning guitar and I finally understand why most people quit...


It’s painfully slow.
Your fingers hate you.
Your strumming sounds like a lawnmower hitting a metal pipe (no joke).

And every YouTube teacher with perfect hair makes it look “so easy.”

Meanwhile, I’m over here celebrating that I switched G to C chord cleanly for once.

But here’s the kicker...

I’m actually loving it.
Not because I’m suddenly good.
Because it reminds me what it's like to learn something new.

That dying thirst for the unknown.

The need to reinvent yourself.
Humble yourself.
And enjoy yourself.

You don’t need to monetize everything.

You don’t need to chase followers.
 
You don’t need a KPI for every hobby.

Sometimes it’s healthy to suck at something.

It wakes you up.
 
It slows you down.
 
And it gives you permission to just be a beginner again.

Business is where I perform.
Guitar is where I breathe.

Three months in, I’m not trying to become a rockstar —
 I’m just trying not to scare the neighbors.

And honestly?

That’s enough for now.

In 2011, Netflix pulled a move 99% of companies are too soft to even attempt…



They didn’t “adjust pricing.”
They detonated a 60% increase overnight.

Customers went absolutely loco. 

800,000 vanished in a single quarter.
The stock got obliterated. 
Twitter mobs (back when that meant something) declared Netflix dead.

But here’s the psychology behind the move...

Weak companies optimize for comfort.
Strong companies optimize for control.

Netflix saw the truth...

DVDs were a slow-motion collapse.
Streaming wasn’t printing cash yet.
 
And trying to keep everyone happy would trap them in the worst place possible:

The middle.

So they did what real operators do...

They took the painful swing that created long-term leverage.

And that moment:

• Severed their dependence on physical products
• Forced total commitment to streaming
• Built the foundation of a global content empire

From the outside, it looked reckless...
...From the inside, it was strategic survival.

This is business 101:

Do what’s easy and your business becomes hard.
Do what’s hard and your business becomes unstoppable.

Have you ever taken short-term hate to build long-term leverage?

Don’t say: “6–8% pref.”
Do say: “8–6% pref.”
Here’s why…

Most operators talk about returns in a way that kills investor confidence without ever realizing it.

They anchor low.

“Most deals return around 6–8%.”

Great!?

Now the investor’s brain is locked onto six.

Six feels “normal.”
Seven feels “fine.”
Eight feels “maybe… if the stars align.”

Flip it:

“Most deals in this market land in the 8–6% range depending on structure.”

Now eight feels normal.
Seven feels logical.
Six feels like the conservative downside.

Same numbers.
Different order.

Totally different psychology.

But wait… won’t investors now expect the higher return?

No, because anchoring doesn’t create expectation.

Anchoring creates context.

Investors aren’t dumb.

They know the preferred return is a fixed number in the PPM.

You’re not changing the pref.
You’re shaping how they interpret the pref.

When you anchor high:

- Confidence increases

- The middle feels solid

- The low end feels conservative

The actual deal (say a 7% pref) lands stronger, not weaker.

You’re not promising eight…
You’re making seven feel normal, not disappointing.

This is how sophisticated operators communicate.

They don’t manipulate numbers.
They frame them in a way that builds certainty.

High-net-worth investors aren’t buying math.

They’re buying the conviction behind the math.

Last week, I waited 2 hours for a $1.50 bowl of ramen.

Here in Dubai, I saw an ad for a new ramen spot called Daikan.

And for their first day only, they were selling bowls of ramen for 5 dirhams.

That’s like $1.50.

A normal bowl here costs around 50-70 dirhams.

So obviously, I had to go.

I grabbed my cousin & uncle and headed there around 8:30 PM.

When we arrived... the line was massive.

40-50 people. Maybe more.

Stretching around the block.

We got in line anyway.

About 10 minutes in, a lady managing the queue walked up to us.

“Just so you know, your turn probably won’t come. We’re closing at 10:30, and people have been waiting for over 2 hours. I don’t think you’ll make it.”

My uncle looked at me like, "It's not worth it."

But I said, "Let's wait a bit longer."

So we stayed.

Over the next hour, people kept showing up behind us.

They’d see the line, wait 10-15 minutes, then leave.

Even people ahead of us started giving up & walking away.

By 10:15 PM, there were still 7-8 families ahead of us.

My uncle said again “Moin, it’s 10:15. Only 15 minutes left. Let’s just go.”

But I convinced them to stay just a little longer.

Finally, our turn was coming.

Then the clock hit 10:30.

The lady came back over.

“Sorry, it’s 10:30. We can’t take any more orders.”

I felt my stomach drop.

Are you kidding me?

But then she smiled.

“I’m just joking. Come inside. You guys waited. A lot of people left, but you stayed.”

We got our ramen.

And honestly... it was worth it.

What stuck with me most about this experience was…

Most people quit right before they win.

They see the line, wait 10 minutes, then leave.

Or they wait an hour & give up when they’re almost there.

They don’t realize they’re closer than they think.

And I see the same thing happen with coaches & experts all the time.

- They post for a few weeks... No leads.

There are two kinds of value: 

1. Practical Value.
2. Emotional Value.

Practical Value makes you do stuff.

Practical Value is why you give so much away for free… yet people still don’t take action.

- They save your posts, 
- Comment "thanks for sharing", 
- Tell you how helpful it was.

But when you pitch your offer, most of them will say...

"Let me try this on my own first & I'll get back to you." (They won't.)

Because Practical Value appeals to logic.

And people don't buy with logic.

They buy with emotion (You already know it, right?)

When I was too skinny, I watched a hundred videos on how to build muscle.

That was a lot of Practical Value.

That pissed me off so bad, I joined a gym the next week.

That’s Emotional Value.

Practical Value informs, emotional Value persuades.

Your content should make people FEEL something:

- Frustration with where they are.
- Excitement about what's possible.
- Relief that someone gets their struggle.

When your content hits emotionally, selling becomes eazy.

Because they're not just learning from you.
They're connecting with you.

And that's what turns readers into $2k-$3k clients.

Yesterday, I woke up at 4:30 AM for the Dubai Run.

I usually wake up around 9-10 AM.

So this was... different.

The Dubai Run happens once a year on Sheikh Zayed Road.

They shut down the entire road & let people run, walk, or just vibe.

Over 300,000 people showed up.

It was really insane.

My cousin & I got there around 6 AM.

The energy was wild.

- Families with kids. 
- Groups of friends. 
- Solo runners. 
- Tourists. 
- Locals.

Everyone just... there.

We started walking (not running, lol. I'm not that guy).

And honestly, it was one of those moments where you just feel... alive.

It turned into one of the best mornings I've had in a while.

The road that's usually packed with cars & traffic was completely empty.

Just people, music, lights & good vibes.

We walked about 4-5 km before heading back.

By the time we got home, it was 9 AM & I was exhausted.

But also... energized.

There was something about watching thousands of people all running toward the same direction that hit me.

Makes me realise how much impact the environment around you has on your momentum.

When you’re surrounded by people who are moving...

You move.
You don’t overthink.
You don’t question every step.
You just keep going.

Anyway... My legs are still dead

But the run was freaking beautiful to witness.

PS: If you're in Dubai & didn't make it to the run this year... You missed out. It was dope.

I’ve messed up a lot in my life in last 7 years.

But I kept going anyway.

2018:

- Last year of college.
- Wanted cash to pay for food & rent.
- So I got a part-time job as laptop repairer.
- Started designing logos for $5 on the Fiverr.

2019-20:

- Tried dropshipping & Lost $300.
- Got first FB ads client for $50.
- Still Broke with family pressure & responsibilities. 
- Started posting on IG & FB.
- Landed a few freelance gigs for $500-$600.

2021-22:

- Working with a few freelance clients here and there.
- Then my aunt passed from cancer.
- Got hit with depression & burnout hard.
- Pivoted to coaching & consulting.
- Signed my first $1k coaching client.

2023-24:

- Left India. Moved to Dubai.
- Struggled to survive as I had no active clients.
- Was literally about to book a flight back home & give up.
- Then signed a $2k client. Then $2.5k. Then $3k.
- Got my 2-year visa & Stayed here.

2025:

- Hit my first $10k month.
- Simplified my entire biz model.
- Turned my 1-1 program into a hybrid offer.
- Helped 10+ coaches & experts hit their first $5k-$10k/mo.

Looking back... I had no clue what I was doing most of the time.

I just kept showing up.

Even when it sucked.
Even when I wanted to quit.
Even when nothing made sense.

Because I learned that... You don't need to have it all figured out.

You just need to keep moving.

The path doesn't show up when you're ready.

It shows up when you start walking.

So if you're sitting there thinking:

"I'm not ready yet."
"I don't know enough."
"What if I fail?"

Yeah. Same.

But you start anyway.

That's how this works.

Ps: Where were you in 2018?

Most LinkedIn profiles are losing clients silently.

- You can have great LinkedIn content
- Your DMs get people engaged.

Because the profile screams... "I'm not sure what I do" or "I help everyone with everything."

That's a sales killer.

Your profile is your sales page.

It should pre-sell you before the DM even starts.

1. Jumped on a quick 15-min call → Pulled out a few gold nuggets from a recent event she attended - the stuff she didn’t even realize was content.

2. Turned it into a 4-5 post story sequence → Those stories were relatable, insightful, emotional, & authority-driven. 

3. Added a soft CTA at the end → It was just a simple invite that naturally gets the right people to start a conversation with her.

4. Once people DM’d her, she qualified them and booked the call → Just aligned conversations with warm, ready-to-buy folks.

Boom.

That’s the power of well-crafted content.

It brings clients to you.

#1 reason your posts don't get visibility or leads...

… Is simply because you’re writing for your own self-interest, not theirs.

Let me break down how this actually works.

So when you publish the content on LinkedIn...

The Algo would show your post to about 20 people first.

If someone engages, it shows to more folks.

Another person engages, even more people see it. And so on.

If those first 20 people scroll past without engaging…

… Your post dies in the feed.

And that’s when you’ll see the disappointing zeroes or extremely low numbers in your visibility stats.

I’ve reviewed content for hundreds of coaches & experts who can’t figure out why their Great posts get 2 likes & zero comments.

99% of the time, it’s not some conspiracy against your niche.

It’s human nature playing out exactly as it should.

A few weeks back, I was looking at posts from one of my 1-1 clients.

She’s smart, has 15+ years of experience, and really knows her stuff.

But her recent posts were things like:

- “Why I became a life coach”
- “Why everyone needs to invest in themselves”
- “My thoughts on work-life balance”
- “The importance of having a morning routine”
- “Please share this post if you believe in self-care”

All valuable stuff. And she’s truly passionate about it.

But the problem is… her audience isn’t obsessing over those topics.

Her audience is obsessing over things like:

- “How do I stop snapping at my husband over the smallest things?”
- “Why do I feel stuck in a life I should be grateful for?”
- “When will I finally feel confident in my own skin again?”
- “Why do I feel disconnected from my kids and my partner?”
- “I'm wondering if my marriage is falling apart.”

She’s talking about her own self-care.

Her audience worried about their marriage or well-being.

Two completely different conversations.

Most people don’t care about your experience or your struggles (& that’s the raw, unfiltered truth).

It’s just that their brain is wired to ask one question when they see a post:

“What’s in it for me?”

So all you need is... Post something so relatable that people read it & think, “holy crap, that’s me.”

Next time you write a post, ask yourself:

Am I writing for my own self interest or am I offering my readers a map to get to theirs?

Make every post about solving their problems, not sharing your thoughts.

You’ve got about 3 seconds to grab someone’s attention as they scroll.

Use those 3 seconds to hit a nerve they can’t ignore.

Give people what they’re already obsessing over, & they’ll engage every damn time.

Three patterns that work:

1. I share moments from my real life because folks connect with what feels true, not what feels “optimized”

2. I share unique insights & thoughts in a language my audience understands & relate with.

3. I write for the folks I want to help, not for the algorithm - a few likes from the right folks is all that matters for me.

The algorithm might change every week.
Human stories never stop working.

- They build trust.
- They cut through the noise.
- And they bring the right people to your profile.

That’s all you need to hit $10k/month or beyond.

Unpopular opinion:

Posting on LinkedIn Daily isn't a content strategy. 

Neither is:

- Tweeting 3x a day
- Monthly podcasts
- Weekly newsletters
- Daily Instagram stories

These are tactics.

And tactics without strategy is like going to the gym without knowing what you're training for, LOL.

You're just... showing up and sweating.

Those tactics mean nothing if your content isn't:

- Talking to the RIGHT people
- Address their actual problems 
- Give them insights they can use 
- Show them how you can actually help

So before you commit to any tactics...

Ask yourself:

Who am I talking to?
What do they need right now?
Why should they care about this?
How does this lead them to work with me?

If you can't answer those clearly...

You're simply throwing darts in the dark, hoping to hit the board from time to time. 

Make sense?
