Here's a bit about me:

I’m a brand advisor for 6-7 figure creators and influencers.
I’m the guy they come to when they want to go from starving artist to highly-paid (and highly-praised) internet phenomenon.

I help them systemize their workflow, marketing, and content so they can work for 2 hours a day, charge more, and sell their products & services on autopilot.

I’m good at what I do because I test things on myself so I know what works and what doesn’t.

Because of this, I’ve grown my own personal brand to 150,000+ followers across different platforms, work for 2-4 hours a day on average, and have systems in place that keep the creative income flowing.

(Scratch that, I'm updating this bio 1.5 years later and have grown to 2.6 million followers with the strategies I have been writing about for that time).

It feels like I’m boasting... but I guess that’s a hit I’m willing to take to ease your worries of trusting some random dude with your time and attention.

WHAT I DID:

I worked to build a global community of freelancers who interested in growing their skills and getting more business. Pursuant to this work, I wrote 4 books and created an interactive course for freelancers on how to make money on marketplaces like Elance, oDesk, Guru, and Freelancer.

WHY IT MATTERS:

Unlike most other professionals, freelancers have very few gathering places––as far as I know, there is no platform that focuses exclusively on the businesses that are developing for them. Attracting a higher standard of clients requires improving the professional standard of freelancers, so just such a marketplace has growth potential for everyone involved.

HOW I DID IT:

My job was a combination of growth hacking, project management, coaching, and writing. Freelancers came to me asking for advice; business owners and recruiters came to me asking if I know someone. Most of the time, I just tried to be helpful.

WHY IT WORKED

Many of the students I helped now make good money as freelancers. They tell me that my material is broken down well into simple, manageable steps. I also wrote based on my own personal experience as both a client and a freelancer. That made it possible for me to write material that is directly applicable and useful.

Make Tasty Wine is a web-based company which provides guidance on making wine in your own home. The site is supported by an award-winning winemaker in Napa.

Key Achievements

- Successfully negotiated agreement with an award-winning winemaker from Napa to provide her support. 
- Created and implemented social media strategy which achieved 25% sharing in its first few days. 
- Created and implemented Twitter strategy with 10-20 new targeted followers added every day. 
-Wrote landing-page copy, coordinated creation of landing page and ran an adwords campaign to between 8-10% conversion.
- Increased the conversion on the landing page to 14% by adding an incentive based social media strategy. 
- Made several mini-books for promotion. (Two of them can be accessed below.)

- Reduced prices on starter wine-kits with book purchase
