My role was to assist in getting the product to the market and represent it on many levels. It included inside sales (cold emailing, prospecting via LinkedIn, and sourcing partners for various levels of the business - not only customers, but also pilot testing organizations, researchers who would assist with the device validation, and others.
In a startup, Business Developer role is much broader. I had a lot of assignments in quality assurance (QMS), logistics, booking and planning events and travels, including conferences, internal team building meetings, and visits of others. Oftentimes I took part in these events, so I have some field sales experience, too.
