In the video, I mention that AI tools will be the highest-leverage products we've ever seen... as I rewatched it, I realised they already are!

I saw a guy at the bouldering gym yesterday with his laptop open.

Between every climb, he’d tap a few keys, then jump back on the wall.
Curiosity got the better of me.

I asked him what he was working on.
He was using Claude, prompting it, then letting it do its thing.
Everyone is saying AI is coming to steal our jobs.

But looking at him, I realised something else:
AI hasn't stolen his job; it's promoted him to Manager.

I'm craving some friction, a brief analogue adventure from the digital world, and it looks like I’m not the only one.

I’m not asking for a lot of friction, but more than this ludicrously smooth online hellscape. 

I’m not saying I want to have to walk to my local shop to rent a video, but a little resistance to help me remember my physical existence would be nice. 

Even just enough friction to keep one Netflix episode from blurring into the next three would help. 

Or enough to keep me from opening 36 tabs across 5 windows before 10am.

Or the kind that makes me think about content for longer than the 30 seconds it takes to consume it.

I feel like I’m losing my mind.

I’m falling further down the AI rabbit hole whilst shopping for a printer.

I want to sit reading with my morning coffee, feeling paper in my fingertips. 

Should I train an agent to tailor the content for me?

That could be the sweet spot. 

A custom newsletter, printed out on paper every morning.

The perfect dose of intentional friction, delivered frictionlessly.
