What if this isn't the year to be afraid of AI… but the year to get really curious about it?

I've always been someone who teaches herself things. I'm a geek at heart. I spend hours on weekends learning on YouTube, everything from Adobe products to whatever new tool catches my eye. 

So when AI started becoming accessible, I jumped in early. I was experimenting with tools like GPT-3 back in 2020, two years before ChatGPT even existed. I told so many people around me to pay attention, and some of them now come back and thank me for that nudge.

Recently, an article by AI founder and investor Matt Shumer went viral on X with over 80 million views. It broke down how fast AI capability has grown and what that means for anyone paying attention right now.

Here's what I keep thinking about:

There's a growing gap between those experimenting seriously with AI and those watching from the sidelines. It's not a gap in talent. It's a gap in information.

If you ever wanted to write a book, the barriers have never been lower. If you ever wanted to launch something as an entrepreneur, the excuses are running out. The real edge isn't just using AI. It's understanding it early enough before the adoption wave hits.

This isn't about fear. It's about timing and opportunity.

You are now closer than ever to actually pursuing what you love and acting on it. This is happening whether we're ready or not. 

So get comfortable being a beginner repeatedly. That's the skill now.
