PostHog likes transparency.. full transparency. They publish their roadmap, how they pay people, their board meeting notes, even their fundraising plans - all public in their handbook.

Wild.

So I figured - why not practice what they preach?

I created a GitHub repo where you can track everything I'm studying. All my notes, pitches, research. (find link below)

Here's what I've done so far:

- Built two pitches - one technical for engineers, one simple for everyone else
- Generated ideas for a non-salesy playbook (shoutout Varun Anand for some of the ideas)

What's next?

- Actually implementing PostHog and running through a mini demo
- Deep dive into Product Engineers - their ICP
- Brainstorm more non-salesy outreach angles

This level of transparency is honestly a bit uncomfortable but also believe its something more of us should do!

I just implemented PostHog on my website. 

Turns out it's not Google Analytics on steroids.

It's an entire operating system for understanding how people actually use your product/website.

So far only 2 visitors (me and one stranger) but I'm already seeing:

- Where people spend the most time
- Daily active users (mostly me refreshing the page)
- Who keeps coming back (also me)

Let's talk LLM analytics and AI.

You can track exactly how much that "Generate Summary" button is costing you.

I've been playing with their AI chat to build dashboards. You just ask questions in plain English and it generates the data view you need.

Also noticed feedback buttons everywhere on their site, makes sense since their roadmap is driven by customers, not sales. 

Next up: figuring out what pain points each feature actually solves and the real impact.

PostHog update. Interview 1 down! 

Waiting to hear back but in the meantime I did something wild.

I created a PostHog game to demonstrate my outbound game plan.

Am I crazy? Maybe.

But I wanted to show my approach in a way that's aligned with PostHog's values - weird, radical honesty, transparency.

So I built a click-through game where my entire outbound strategy is gamified.

Here's what I'm prioritizing for PostHog outbound:

• Give value first, never pressure.  
• Build trust through transparency, not pushy tactics
• Protect brand reputation above quota, always
• Manual research first, then automate what works

The PostHog journey has wrapped up.

Had a blast and learned a ton from the experience.

Here's what I picked up:

* Creating a fun project before an interview = faster understanding of the core essentials such as competitors, differentiators, value props, etc.

* No code tools like Cursor let you gather the right info in under an hour

* Always room for improvement - could've built a better narrative around why I'm the right fit

Grateful for the experience either way.

Still open to Junior GTM Engineering roles and founding BDR positions.
