Writing is my dream and I have been living it for the last ten years.

My first piece of writing was a blog I published on a ‘flower’.

I never had the chance to look back at it because of how cringe it was.

But today, I write for some of the most powerful people who run big companies that my mind can only fathom.

So maybe I do have to thank that ‘flower’ blog after all.

Once I realised the power writing has on personal and professional life (I mean I am making money off of pushing a few buttons on my keyboard), I realised how powerful this can be for others as well.

So I started writing for others and never looked back.

Today, I write for Founders and CEOs and help tell their story online.

I've written 4 books as a ghostwriter with some of the most talented founders and leaders I've met. 

I’ve helped my clients go on podcasts as guests, got them more business, and a better network of high-net individuals to name a few.

If you are a founder or CXO and someone tells you they have cracked the LinkedIn algorithm, please be a little suspicious.

One of our clients recently had two text-only posts.

One got 385 likes and around 40,000 impressions. The other got 335 likes and around 20,000 impressions.

Only 50 likes apart. And yet, a 20,000-impression gap.

That is exactly why I do not take LinkedIn “formulas” too seriously.

A post does not spread only because people liked it.

It spreads when it reaches the right people.

When the right people comment, when it feels relevant to your own community, when people save it, share it, or send it to someone quietly.

So let's not judge a post only by visible numbers.

So when someone says image posts work better, or carousels work better, or a particular template is viral, I would take that advice very lightly.

Because both of these were text-only posts and core related to subject matter expertise.

The question you should ask: Did the post actually speak to the people you wanted to reach?

That usually matters more than any algorithm theory.

And yes, I still back-text posts. The LinkedIn algorithm has commitment issues anyway.

Sure!

A well-known founder from India’s stock market circles once told us that he did not think we could write for him.

Fair enough.

We took a bet. We said, “Let us write one piece for you. You give the topic. If you do not like it, we will step back.”

He said, “Okay. Show me what you’ve got.” That conversation happened in May 2025.

It is March 2026 now, and we are close to completing a year of working together.

I still think about that often, because it reminded me of something I tell every founder and CXO very openly: I am not the expert in your field.

You are.

My work begins somewhere else. My work is to understand how you think. To study your space seriously. To find the right facts, shape the argument properly, and then write in a way that feels like you said it, not me.

That trust was never a small thing to me.

Writing for someone was never about sounding smart after reading a few articles in their industry.

It was always about listening properly. Paying attention. Doing the work well enough to carry someone else’s voice with care.

Right now, I work across five different industries. And in many of them, there was a first time.

A first project. A first learning curve. A first founder deciding whether to trust us without seeing a long list of category-specific samples.

I have always been grateful for that.

Because the people who gave us a chance were not only looking at whether we had worked in their exact industry before.

They were looking at something deeper.

Can this person listen well? Can this person understand the thinking? Can this person do the research properly? Can this person write in a way that can hold the weight of my name?

I think that is where good writing in niche industries really begins.

So this post is really a thank you.

To the founders and CXOs who gave us a chance before we had “proof” in their category.

To the ones who looked at the seriousness of our craft before the case studies.
To the ones who let the work speak first.

Some of our best client relationships began with doubt. They stayed because the work held up.

And honestly, that is still one of my favourite ways to earn trust. Sometimes it begins with one simple line: “Alright. Show me.”

While I understand skill learning in the age of Ai this seemed like a good reminder.

'Thrilled' is old. It is now crying in public with bullet points.

The most difficult question as a founder of a ghostwriting agency I get on client calls is: “Can I see what you have written?”

And I always have to answer with a polite no.

That answer has never been easy.

When you are building any kind of service business, people want proof. They want samples, names, and visible work. Something they can hold and assess quickly.

I understand that.

But ghostwriting asks for a different kind of boundary.

A founder trusts you with their thoughts, their voice, their reputation, and often the parts of their thinking that are still taking shape. Once that trust is given, I do not believe it should be passed around to make the next sale easier.

So a lot of this work stays invisible.

I cannot always point at a post and say, we did that. I cannot always mention the client. I cannot always explain what sat behind the final version.

That is the nature of the work. And over time, I have come to respect that more deeply.

Some of the writing I am proudest of carries someone else’s name completely. Quietly. Fully. As it should.

It does make the business harder in certain moments. But there are a few lines that matter more than convenience. This has always been one of them.

The people who understand ghostwriting properly usually understand this too.
They are not only judging the visible output.

They are paying attention to how you listen, how you think, how carefully you handle someone else’s voice, and whether you know how to treat trust with discipline.

Some of our best relationships have started right after that polite no and maybe that is the strange beauty of this business.

A lot of the work you do well cannot be claimed loudly.Still, the right people know.

How to stop being the most interesting person in the room and the most forgettable one on LinkedIn?

I came across a LinkedIn post from a mental health startup founder today. Although the post had decent engagement and ticked all the LinkedIn-formatting boxes,

Everything in the post could have been written by anyone.

And this is a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder. Someone who built a company from scratch because the system was broken. Someone with stories, opinions, and a point of view that could genuinely stop a scroll.

But none of that was in the post.

And that's not the founder's fault. It's the fault of the PROCESS being used to create content.

- it's probably a bad ghostwriting job
- or the founder decided to ChatGPT it and spit out the first draft

Such generic posts are costing you SOOOO much:

Investors who scroll past because nothing made them stop, or the customers who don't feel the conviction behind the product. A potential employee who chose someone else because that someone else sounded like they meant it. 

And WORST OF ALL - your reputation took a serious hit because everyone knows what AI-slop (internet's fav word of 2026) looks like.

You don't get those first impressions back.

There's some sort of cruel irony here because I am sure the founder has the opinions, stories, he could talk about the rage that built the company.

It just never made it into the brief. So it never made it into the post.

Reddit is the only platform where "Marketing" is a four-letter word. >

Unless, of course, you understand the sequence.

Most brands fail because they try to jump straight to stage four...

They want visibility before presence. Promotion before proof. Attention before anyone in the room knows who they are.

But Reddit trust doesn’t work like that. It builds in stages.

First comes presence. You show up without asking for anything.

Then comes proof. You leave useful comments, answer real questions, and help in ways people can judge in public.

Then comes recognition. Your name starts showing up often enough, in the right threads, that people begin to remember it.

Only then do you get permission. Not formal permission. Social permission. 

The kind that makes your posts, profile, and ideas feel welcome instead of forced.

That’s the part most brands miss.

If you’re struggling with marketing that feels tone-deaf or ignored, try it.

I call it the Radical Empathy Rule: stop selling the perfect dream and start validating the messy reality.

This applies to almost anything in copywriting.

Want to build brand loyalty but feel like you're just adding to the digital noise?

-Stop trying to be the loudest or cleverest in the room.

-Acknowledge your audience's actual pain points.

-Focus your copy on mundane, relatable micro-moments.

Within a few campaigns, you’re building actual community instead of just getting fleeting clicks.

Most brands try to be clever.

Be honest instead.

Most brands think trust on Reddit is built with one good post.
It usually isn’t.

It’s built through smaller moves that stack over time. Here’s what actually earns trust there:

1. Comments often matter more than posts
 A strong answer in the right thread can do more than a polished standalone post. People remember who helped, not who announced themselves.

2. Repetition builds credibility
 Trust on Reddit is repeated proof. When your name keeps showing up with clear, useful answers, people start to recognise it. That recognition matters.

3. Give first, ask later
 Reddit is very good at spotting people who came to extract attention. If your first move is promotion, you’re already behind. If your first move is usefulness, people stay open.

4. Helpful participation creates curiosity
 The win is not just goodwill. It’s profile visits. A thoughtful comment makes people curious enough to check who you are and what else you know.

That’s why karma is only the visible receipt.

The real work is consistent, useful participation in public.

Once you see that, Reddit stops feeling random and starts feeling readable.

Today I ran a tiny test.

I asked ChatGPT:

“Recommend the best product analytics tools for a mid-market B2B SaaS. Just name.”

It gave me a neat list:

Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, Heap, Pendo, FullStory, UXCam, Kissmetrics, GA4, LogRocket.

And in the screenshot, you can see something important:

those little source tags, plus the “Sources” button.

That is the clue.

This is not the model “guessing”.

It is pulling signals from what is already out there on the internet, and then it summarises in a clean list.

So the real question is not “why these tools are best”.

The real question is:
why these brands were easy for the model to pick.

Because if you are a SaaS in the same space and you did not show up, it is usually not about product.

It is about visibility.
