I worked on the Workday Help product as a zero to one project. Workday Help provides HR knowledge and case management solutions that help employees find the information they need faster.

I was responsible for defining and executing on the roadmap for the case management product area. Our focus was on enabling HR professionals to be as productive as possible while providing the best possible experience to their employees.

I spent my first 2 years with Workday as a product manager on the Recruiting product team. 

My primary focus was on building new products and features focused on recruiter productivity. I was the lead PM on the new job requisition workspace feature which remains the most frequently used feature in the Recruiting product suite.

One Rocket

One Rocket was an employee onboarding SaaS startup which I founded in January 2015. With One Rocket, we participated in the Y Combinator fellowship program.

We worked with customers in both the US and Europe to help streamline their employee onboarding processes. The One Rocket product allowed new employees to access documents, learning content and more from one simple interface.

Enterprise AI selling is starting to look like consulting and is changing the technical SaaS sale. The skill set I built over 5 years leading a team of consultants has driven almost every deal I've closed in the last 60 days. 

The conversation is less about the product and more about change management. Negotiating traditional viewpoints, earning stakeholder trust, and jumping on a plane to meet buyers where they are at (emotionally + physically). 

Selling has meant learning which workflows the product unlocks. ie. onboarding, manual friction, how success actually gets measured. It will be even more true for retention.

Companies gaining market share in AI right now aren't winning on features. They're winning because someone on the team can walk into an office, diagnose the real problem, and connect it to their budget.  All while introducing them to the benefits of AI.

I never expected a boutique firm to be the best training ground for selling AI. Who knew GTM would end up looking like this?

Qualtrics was the 'excel of surveys' for an entire generation. I've been thinking a lot about what changes when AI can let people just speak.

How they grew:
- Early 2000s: Targeted only the top 250 universities. Every grad entered the workforce knowing Qualtrics.
- 2012: Pivoted from academia to enterprise.
- 2018: 9,000 customers.
- 2018: Sold to SAP for $8B, the largest private enterprise software acquisition in history.

But surveys only capture what you ask, never what people actually think.  Usable survey responses have dropped from 75% to just 10% in 2024-25 years due to bot fraud. 

The deeper problem was always there.  Surveys force humans into a box. multiple choice, 1-to-5 scales, predefined categories. Companies still make big decisions with data that is structured but not high-quality or authentic. It's why I left consulting in 2022. AI is moving faster, but the way we listen to humans hadn't changed. 

Surveys and polls won't last because AI can detect what's real versus what's noise, helping us listen better.

Sometimes we forget the best use case of AI is making us more human, not less.
