For over 110 years, Hockey Namur has been a pillar of sport in Wallonia, the largest club in the Namur province, home to nearly 1,000 members, and known for its familial spirit, warm community, and ambitious mindset.

But legacy alone isn’t enough. The club wanted to look forward, to train the next generation, collaborate across clubs, and create clear pathways for players at every level.

The Mission
Like many clubs, Hockey Namur was caught between two worlds: chasing pro-division results or nurturing a welcoming community. In reality, they were already something more powerful, a foundational step in every player’s journey. A place where future pros are forged, and families still feel at home.

Our role was to help crystallise that truth into a clear, unifying vision:
 “Together, creating the future of hockey.”

Semetis became in a record time the Belgian market leader in Digital Marketing Consultancy with full accreditation by Google (Ads, Analytics, GTM & API), META, Facebook, Microsoft, Criteo, Adobe, Mixpanel, Segment, Tableau, Tealium.... I set-up the company, developed it including hiring and structuring a very talented team. I then sold a majority stake to Omnicom Group (NYSE:OMC), integrating it and maintaining its strong culture and growth path.

Semetis is since 2015 member of the Omnicom network (BBDO, TBWA, DDB, OMD, PHD, Semetis). From 2018 onwards Semetis positions itself on the belgian market as a Data-Driven Media Agency. In 2023 I sold my remaining shares and resigned from the board of directors leaving Omnicom with full control in a stronger state than ever. Awarded Agency of the Year and Decade. Awarded most Efficient (Digital Campaigning) Agency by WARC.

OMD is the largest media agency member of the Omnicom network. 

While integrating Semetis within Omnicom Belgium, I accepted the challenge to temporarily run OMD reporting to the local group COO & CFO. I re-negotiated several contracts (Belron, PepsiCo, McDo, Alpro/Danone, Verisure/Securitas....) and moved the digital operations to Semetis. It gave me the opportunity to learn from the inside the functionning of a network media agency.

My role consisted of developing the distribution channel of Google Advertising in Belgium (ie. Media Buying Agencies, Web Agencies & Specialized Digital Advertising Agencies). This is when the idea came to become entrepreneur and set-up a future-proof agency that later became leader on the belgian market.

My role consisted of setting-up the operations of the Google in Belgium. I was the only account manager for more than a year which allowed me to set-up the basics and the process before recruiting & training the newcomers. I developed a passion for technical products and therefore volunteered for becoming the "power-user" of several products like: Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Display Advertising & Internal CRM Tools. I was involved in almost every on-going internal project.

Very international job! 

ARC Europe is the European Business unit of the European automobile clubs (Touring in Belgium, AA in the UK, ANWB in the Netherlands, ADAC in Germany....) dealing with after-sales/warranty services. It manages both a European roadside assistance network and it negotiates B2B2C contracts with car manufacturers (main competitors are EuropAssistance, Mondial and AXA). I negotiated, implemented and managed the Ford Group account/contract in over 20 European countries which represented +- 50M € revenue annually for the ARC network). This was intense. I also worked on other major clients including Volvo, PSA, Mazda, Jaguar/Landrover and large insurance companies. But after completing my main Ford mission very successfully, I decided to move on to a totally new sector - technology/media/digital. I moved on to Google...

First job. Great one I must say! 
Also amazing to see how MasterCard evolved to a global company, because at that time, the payment industry was very little understood and too technical for many.

I started as a graduate trainee and ended up in the marketing department, responsible for premium credit cards in Europe. I worked behind the scenes of the Black Card launch in the UK (Natwest/RBS) and some World Signia and Platinum Card projects (UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Eastern & Central Europe...). Aujourd’hui, je voulais mettre en avant Fabian Van De Wiele, CEO de Clicktrust. Un entrepreneur belge au parcours cohérent, construit avec constance et vision. 🇧🇪

quel privilège incroyable d’avoir fait partie de cette aventure.
C’était plus qu’un job.
C’était une époque!
Une énergie.
Une manière de penser différente, avant l’heure.

Chez Google, on apprenait à:
💡 embrasser la technologie, pas la craindre
⚙️ comprendre les révolutions, pas les subir
🚀 pousser l’efficacité sans perdre la créativité
🤝 travailler en équipe, sans ego
🎯 rester focus, quand tout bougeait vite

Et surtout, on évoluait entourés de gens talentueux, curieux, drôles, humains. Cette culture m’a profondément marqué. Elle a façonné ma manière d’entreprendre, de coacher et de collaborer encore aujourd’hui.

Merci à cette équipe de pionniers. Merci pour cette mentalité “can do”.
Et merci d’avoir prouvé qu’en Belgique aussi, on pouvait rêver grand 🌍

🎭 Tick, Tick... Boom!

Hier soir, j’ai assisté à cette pièce de théâtre musicale jouée à Bruxelles par une troupe anglaise… et c’était absolument incroyable.

Une performance vibrante, intense, humaine; à voir absolument si vous avez encore la chance (il reste quelques représentations sur https://lnkd.in/es7_Eyrv)

Mais le moment le plus inattendu, c’était après le show.
Edward McMillan, fondateur de The Bridge Theatre, Brussels, m’avait invité à participer à la discussion post-show sur un sujet très particulier: les sacrifices sociaux des entrepreneurs.

J’ai longtemps hésité.
C’est un sujet intime, personnel.
Pas celui qu’on évoque souvent sur scène ou en public.

Et pourtant…
L’échange a été profond, sincère et incroyablement humain.
On a parlé de solitude, de passion, de déséquilibre, de sens.
De ces zones grises entre ambition et renoncement, entre accomplissement et fatigue.

Et surtout, de ce fil rouge invisible : celui qui pousse les entrepreneurs à continuer, même quand c’est dur.

Merci à toute l’équipe de Tick, Tick... Boom! pour cette soirée qui mêle art, émotion et réflexion. Et merci à Edward pour l’invitation et la qualité du dialogue.

💥 Ce genre d’événement, c’est la preuve que la culture peut aussi servir de miroir à nos vies d’entrepreneurs.

🔥 Grimper un volcan, ce n’est pas comme gravir une montagne.

C’est instable.
C’est imprévisible.
Parfois, tu avances… et tu recules.
Mais tu continues.

📍 Cette photo a été prise sur les pentes du Stromboli, un volcan actif en Italie.
Un moment fort. Épuisant. Magique. Inattendu.

Et en y repensant… c’est exactement comme le parcours entrepreneurial.
💥 Tu n’as pas de sentier balisé.
💥 Le terrain change sous tes pieds.
💥 Chaque pas demande plus d’énergie qu’il n’y paraît.
💥 Et même au sommet… ce n’est jamais “fini”.

Mais tu apprends à lire le terrain.
À avancer avec plus de confiance.
À célébrer chaque mètre gagné.
Et à apprécier la vue même si elle est parfois cachée par la brume.

🚀 Aux entrepreneurs, grimpeurs de volcans de l’économie : continuez. C’est votre énergie qui fait bouger les lignes.

🎌 Aujourd’hui, c’est le dernier jour de l’Expo Universelle à Osaka.

Quel beau souvenir de l’avoir visitée il y a deux semaines avec la délégation entrepreneuriale flamande 🇧🇪🇯🇵

📈 210.000 visiteurs par jour en moyenne. Oui, vous avez bien lu. 210.000 !
Donc forcément... beaucoup de files 😅
Mais j’ai malgré tout réussi à visiter une bonne vingtaine de pavillons. 👏

Et puis, j’ai découvert une tradition japonaise que je trouve formidable 🖋️
👉 Après chaque visite, on se félicite avec un tampon (cachet officiel) dans un carnet de collection.
Certains Japonais ont même un carnet spécial, et j’en ai vu qui le faisaient directement… dans leur passeport !

Un petit geste symbolique, mais qui matérialise une expérience.
Un souvenir. Une trace. Une fierté aussi.
