I am a Google certificated digital marketing strategist who takes a data-led approach to design multi-channel online marketing campaigns for top brands and advertisers. Home of Living Brands(a Bidvest subsidiary) is a license holder and wholesaler of various branded household appliances (Russell Hobbs, Salton, Hoover) to the largest retailers in Southern Africa. I was headhunted into the business as part of a 5 person executive leadership team, tasked with re-structuring the business, growing profitability and ensuring sustainability.

Appointed to the Massmart group FP&A team. Massmart is a subsidiary of Walmart, consisting of 4 large retail chains serving different market segments across Southern Africa. I worked in a team of 5 people, partnering with divisional FP&A teams, ultimately reporting up to Walmart Global FP&A in Arkansas. I managed and reported turnaround metrics, partnered with divisional teams on new go to market projects and lead new BI tool implementation.

Appointed to a project at Wesbank, which is the largest debt finance provider to automotive consumers and businesses in South Africa (Book value of over CAD11,5bn). The 4 month project involved the cost-benefit analysis of the incentive/compensation program for the various divisions of the Collections Department, comprising: financial assessment, impact on BD Provision(IFRS9) and advising new incentives to ensure subsequent implementation would improve collections.

This appointment came as a result of my involvement and success in both the management and operational aspects of the business.

As the Branch Manager for the Inland region(Gauteng, Free State, KZN, Mpumalanga, Limpopo), I was responsible for the management and P&L of all operations, finance, administration and legislative compliance for the region.

The Healthcare division in particular underwent massive expansion from 2017-2019 through various acquisitions, resulting in one of the few 'cradle to grave' medical waste solutions in the country.  

As the FPA for the division, I assisted the Head of Healthcare with budgeting, planning, financial modelling as well as strategic advice. I reported directly to both the Head of Healthcare and the Financial Director with respect to operational and financial reporting.
