Tom is a graduate of Harvard University's Public Leadership Credential Program. He is a Certified Public Manager in the State of NJ. Tom has a Master of Public Administration degree from Seton Hall University and Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University. Tom also has achieved his Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Certification from Rutgers University.

He is currently an adjunct professor/instructor at Pillar College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutgers University, Kean University, and his alma mater, Seton Hall University. Tom teaches a rotation of twelve (12) courses, both for undergraduate and graduate students. Courses include: Civic Engagement, Project Management, Administration & Management, Human Resource Mangement, Organizational Communications, Productivity/Human Performance, Organizational Decision Making, Comparative Politics, Introduction to Public Administration, Government and Politics of New Jersey, Foundation of Nonprofits, and Leadership & Management of Nonprofit Organizations.

He is passionate about using his decades of professional experience to support positive leaders, organizations, and teams, as well as help individuals improve their lives through one-on-one and small group life coaching.
