I made a decision nobody liked.

“Just be authentic.”

It’s the most common advice I hear leaders give — and the one that often backfires.

Responsible for conceptualising and defining problem statements for key initiatives - and then forming teams to resolve these in order to enable greater efficiencies and improvements.

Key Achievements
•	Created, developed, and ran the Rise and Shine Diversity program for women – 100+ participants with 9 GM sponsors (to increase our metrics for female talent). Through program, 4 women acquired promotions to management, plus 3 women acquired secondment opportunities.
•	Successfully set up and coached others to run 3 leadership communities: (1) SEO/IT People Leader community (2)nbn Emerging Leader Community (3) Community of Practice for Delivery Managers (to build engagement and make nbn a Great Place to Work)
•	Led the Culture Key Initiative in IT (umbrella under which key activities were implemented with the aim of driving engagement and changing culture)
•	Developed and implemented LightBulb ideas as part of SEO Inspired festival (developed to shift mindsets towards innovative thinking)

Responsible for forming an initiative to help address the key organisational strategic goal of cost efficiency. Program enabled within IT to assess all facets of delivery lifecycle to define, measure, analyse and recommend measures for cost reduction.

Key Achievement
•	Supplier Optimisation – Led two RFPs to onboard a panel of 6 strategic (resource) suppliers for IT/Engineering, leading to cost savings of approx. $100m over three years.
•	Reduced delivery day rate (composite of costs charged to the business for IT delivery) from $1650 to $1450 (target - $1490) in less than 10 months

Portfolio Manager - Delivery Efficiency 

Responsible for the IT portfolio delivery of a new business segment catering for broadband services for business customers.

Accountable for the set up, delivery and governance within IT to deliver nbn’s newest technology offering - Fibre to the Curb (FTTC).

Key Achievement
•	Successfully initiated, recruited, and managed a cross-functional team (35 resources plus three external vendors) to co-develop and test a new, competitive technology offering (GFAST) – within 3 months from initiation to launch of prototype.

Macquarie Group

Managed Intra-day Payments across the bank. Intraday exchange and settlement will result in the exchange and settlement of DE transactions at multiple times throughout the day (currently only once a day for incoming). This is a program of work with multiple concurrent streams- with the first stream scheduled for delivery in Nov 2014.
 
FATCA: Implementation of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) requirements across Cash account opening application form, (CMA) including a linked Macquarie Online Trading account  that replicates an existing CMA client's account information details
 
SuperStream is a package of measures designed to improve the efficiency of the superannuation industry. The objective of this project was to allow Macquarie’s Self Managed Superannuation Fund clients with a Cash Management Account or Consolidator Cash Account to receive electronic contributions as defined in the ATO data and e-commerce standard, Superannuation Data and Payment Standards 2012.
 
Vendor Solutions: This project extended previously launched functionality to external software vendors who were  interested in the implementation of Cash Applications to facilitate real time account opening, for new Cash Management (CMA) and Term Deposits (TD) accounts.
 
Privacy: The Privacy Amendment Act introduced  significant changes to the Privacy Act – consequently, updates were required to all online forms, as well as paper applications.
 
Infrastructure changes: Multiple infrastructure changes including WebMethods Upgrades, Siebel updates, decommissions of legacy applications.
 
FOFA: The Australian Government Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms include a ban on conflicted remuneration by financial services licensees and their representatives. This project delivered  the requirements around the collection of the Client Directed Payment (CDP) maximum amounts, consisting of a dollar ($) & percentile (%) value, for advised online applications.

BigPond Email Migration
Acted as change agent for BigPond Email migration project – to migrate 5.1million BigPond accounts Microsoft’s Outlook.com. Involved in all aspects of the migration at a senior level – from defining the customer experience, end-to-end communication strategy, migration solution and stakeholder management. 

Successfully delivered and implemented learnings from all phases of project team and staff trial. Currently involved in planning of final phase of comprehensive customer trials – before rollout to database.

Siebel 8.1 Migration
Took lead project management role in Telstra Digital  for major change management initiative. Responsible for coordinating all elements of customer communications during weekend of upgrade. Achievement: Won award for customer advocacy for this project.
