~Responsibilities associated with establishing a new mental health facility such as policy creation, team building/hiring, meeting Joint Commission Standards and ongoing process improvement. 
~Oversee day-to-day operations of Environmental Services, Plant Operations, Maintenance, Foodservices, Transportation, Safety and Building Security. 
~Weekly and monthly preventive maintenance.
~Daily work orders and contacting vendors for specific repair needs. 
~Maintaining FTEs for departments.
~Construction projects/building renovations related to opening additional living communities.

Director Of Support Services

Poplar Springs Hospital

~Oversee day-to-day operations of Environmental Services and Dietary departments.
~Ensure cleanliness of acute and residential hospitals, including floor care.
~Scheduling and daily FTE management.
~Yearly budget management and purchasing responsibilities for various departments.
~Work closely with maintenance department with opening a brand new 32-bed military unit.

~Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry departments in a 180 bed nursing home facility.
~Scheduling and FTE management.
~Responsibilities include ordering, detail cleaning, stripping and waxing floors and providing residents with a clean and healthy environment.

I have over 30 years of experience managing a variety of people in various environments and have an excellent track record.  My experience involves supervising building maintenance, special construction projects/renovations, housekeeping and laundry departments as well as grounds maintenance and security for long-term care, senior living centers and behavioral health centers. I enjoy a challenge and am great at troubleshooting, problem solving and training staff while complying and educating staff on safety and compliance standards. I have proven to be an adaptable employee who thrives in fast paced environments, is team-oriented and is willing and able to learn new processes. 

I believe that my many years of management and operations experience, along with my organizational skills, excellent customer service and vendor relations, reliability and natural ability to interact and effectively communicate with my coworkers and customers would qualify me for a directors position in operations, maintenance, or environmental services in a healthcare setting. I would especially like an opportunity to get back into the senior living/long-term care sector of healthcare.
