Concentrating much of his practice in the area of civil rights violations, Bob has has secured numerous multi-million dollar recoveries including one of the largest settlement ever paid by the City of Philadelphia in a police shooting case.  In May 2018, a jury returned a $10 million verdict for Bob's client in a civil rights/malicious prosecution case. The Defender Association of Philadelphia is an independent, non-profit corporation which was created in 1934 by a group of Philadelphia lawyers who were dedicated to the ideal of high quality legal services for indigent criminal defendants. Bob was assigned to Juvenile Special Defense Unit which handles cases involving juveniles accused of crimes including robbery, rape and assault. Frequently, these juveniles were charged in adult court where they faced the potential of decades in prison.
