I’ve signed up for the Jersey Hospice Care Half Marathon.

I have never been a runner.
I’ve always been far more comfortable ''pumping iron'' or ''shifting tin''. 

But alas, I’m in my thirties now. And apparently this is the decade where we all, pretend running is the cure to nihilism. 

So here I am.
New year. New me. 
Let's go! 

I’m doing it in support of Jersey Hospice Care, an organisation that does genuinely incredible work.

Training is underway, slowly.

Walking the walk isn't enough anymore. You have to talk the walk. 

We've all met people who do the work, move the needle, build the thing… but never post about it.

No podcasts. No carousels. No “lessons learned” threads. Just impact.

Some of the biggest contributors in any business aren’t the loudest.

And thats fine.

But I genuinely don’t understand why you’d want to be someone who has the biggest impact on a business… and have nobody know that the success is down to you.

Yes, visibility isn’t the same as value.
Yes, shouting about work doesn’t automatically mean you’re good at it.
And yes, leaders need to reward delivery, not just impressions.

All true. But if you don’t tell your story, someone else will, and they’ll probably get the credit.

Almost two years ago, Radu Dan and I connected on LinkedIn.

Didn’t expect it to turn into one of the most interesting marketing chats I’ve had.
