Because of my own struggles with anxiety and sleep issues, I've spent over 20 years researching anxiety and how it affects every part of our life. I teach resilience as a skill that can be learned, practiced, and incorporated into daily living.

I am different than many speakers/presenters – I am an Integrative Hypnotist.  What the heck is that?  It’s hypnosis and a gazillion other modalities all integrated to find the best way to help people rewire and retrain their brains so they can break free from the chains of stress and anxiety.

I am also the author of “Goodbye Anxiety, Hello Freedom,” with 35 simple ways to calm stress and anxiety.

My first career was as Celebrity Radio DJ “Stevie Knox.” My radio morning show had me spinning into insomnia. I was also a mom to two small kids at the time & I realized I had suffered my entire life from anxiety but didn't know it. The medication worked for a short time & then stopped and things went from bad to worse. I knew I needed to find a way out of the prison of anxiety, so I began researching holistic & natural ways to calm my stress and anxiety. 

I found hypnosis & everything changed. I felt a sense of peace I had never experienced; I was dealing with life better (my husband had been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness) & I knew I had a mission to help others with this knowledge. I began using my voice to literally hypnotize my clients to make incredible life changes just as I had used my voice on the radio to bring listeners back day after day.

Hypnosis is not what we see on TV and in the movies.  It is a powerful way to access our subconscious mind – and THAT is where REAL change happens.

As I reflect on 2025, I am reminded of how powerful a year can be when we lead with intention, adapt with clarity, and remain open to what unfolds.

This year brought meaningful milestones that I am deeply grateful for. I was honored to be named to the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers, the Lexology Index Thought Leaders Global Elite 2026, and the Long Island Business News Top 50 Women. These recognitions reflect the trust of clients and colleagues and the commitment to excellence that guides my work.

It was also a year marked by moments of profound meaning. In April, I had the privilege of being admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States alongside an extraordinary group of Women Owned Law colleagues, a milestone that underscored the power of community, leadership, and shared purpose.

A significant chapter was rejoining Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP as Of Counsel. This move represented an opportunity to flex and pivot in ways that strengthen collaboration and expand impact.

The year was filled with dynamic speaking engagements and learning experiences, including the Legal Style Awards, Aysha NYC, Georgetown Law’s AEDI, the i.WILL (Inspiring Women Igniting Leadership and Learning) Summit, and a transformative Tony Robbins leadership program in Fiji with Loren Lahav.
