My favorite storytelling shortcut for change management:

Repetition.

Here's why it works:
→ 1st time: it grabs your attention
→ 3rd time: you start to recognize the message
→ 5th time: you link it to a broader initiative
→ 7th time: you associate it with a strategic outcome
→ 9th time: you're ready to take action

Why?
– It builds credibility.
– It creates familiarity.
– It demonstrates reliability.

Here's the reality:
– After 1 hour: your audience recalls 50%
– After 24 hours: it drops to 25%
– After 1 week: it's down to 10%

So, how do you make sure they remember the message?

REPETITION

Here's how I reinforce my change management message:

   1/  I work with the key leaders to develop a narrative-driven message
↳ why this is important to the facing leader;
↳ why this is important for the organisation;
↳ why the org must take action now.

  2/  Use mind mapping to break the story into key themes, visuals, and talking points for easier recall and alignment.

  3/  Create this into four cuts:
↳ a 30 minute version
↳ a 3 minute version
↳ a 30 second version
↳ a 3 second version

4/ Get into any and every forum I can. Use the appropriate version for the time you can get.

5/ Make sure the right person is delivering the right message at the right time.

6/ Repeat the message until stakeholders are ready to commit.

This strategy isn't revolutionary.

But how you apply it is where you stand out:

Same message, four different ways, in every forum you can, delivered by the right person.
