Sometimes you just need to SHUT UP. 

I've never had ANY formal management training.

But this is one of the best things I self learned.

Whenever I used to make an investment in someone…

Whether it be it bring them into my business, or invest in them as an angel investor…

I always did this one thing.

I would go on a one hour hike, where I don't talk for the WHOLE hour.

I’d ask that person to tell me everything about them.

Their inner thoughts, everything they think about…

And I would not interrupt them.

This activity has been one of the most profound ways of getting to know someone.

In some cases, I have been told at the end of these walks that I know more about that person than their own wife or husband.

The thing is, when we have a normal conversation…

We’re so busy interjecting and throwing in our own opinions, that it actually takes people off track.

It stops from sharing deeply.

Just listening to someone intensely for an hour can transform your understanding of them, and therefore transform your relationship with them.

I suggest everyone tries it.

Spend one hour listening to someone in your team…

Your partner…

Or someone you want to hire.

You’ll be amazed what you'll discover when you keep your mouth shut.

I simply don’t feel comfortable doing it anymore.

When I first started creating content, things were different.

You could leave your job, chase your dream, and if it didn’t work out, no problem. You’d land another job quickly.

But the job market has changed. AI is replacing people and opportunity is no longer guaranteed.

- 52% of graduates can’t find work after university.

- 1.8 million people are unemployed in the UK right now.

So what’s the answer? Give up on our dreams?

No. The answer is proof.

Proof your dream can work and proof people want what you’re building.

Once you have that, you can quit safely and go all in.

I'm struggling to sleep at night.

An entire generation is being let down.

Kids are leaving school with debt and no job. Benefits pay more than working. And over a million young people are doing nothing. They aren't working, they aren't learning, they don't have a purpose.

And they aren't lazy!

They've just been let down by a broken system and left with no options.

We have to give people a new path.

I don’t want to be posting about this stuff, I just want to fix the education system but this new CRAZY out of touch government bill hurts that effort and I need your help to stop it please! 

160,000+ of you signed the petition to withdraw the awful “Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill” recently and huge thank you for of all signing to get it stoppped! It’s a great start.

Now, it’s going to Parliament for debate on 1 December. We need to push again please 🙏🏻

Right now, the most powerful thing you can do is EMAIL YOUR MP. Tell them your concerns about the Bill and ask them to be there for the debate. 

Petitions show we care, but emails from constituents are what MPs actually act on.

Many MPs still don’t realise how sweeping the Bill is (many I have spoken to who voted for it haven’t even actually read it past the title!!) and so many don’t how it impacts ordinary families. 

They need to hear it from the people it affects: you, me, and every parent in England and Wales.

Here’s what’s at stake:

A mandatory digital identifier for every child, linking health, education and welfare data across agencies, overriding confidentiality and leaving families with no way to opt out, no control no way to correct errors. 

It lowers the threshold for data sharing, allowing authorities to share children’s information based on vague welfare judgements rather than significant harm.
It grants open-ended powers to local authorities, to demand “any other information”, without defined limits or oversight!

It targets home-educated children with intrusive oversight and new reporting demands, despite no evidence justifying this approach and without any support for families forced into home education.

It undermines parental rights and SEND protections, shifting decision-making power away from families who understand their children’s needs best.

And all of this is being pushed without evidence, proper consultation, or a meaningful risk assessment. 
I support strong safeguarding for every child. 

But this Bill doesn’t fix the problems it claims to solve. 

Instead it creates new risks to privacy, equality and family autonomy. This bill starts at home education level but if this skeleton bill is past they will continue to take control over your children and how YOU parent them. The broken system will decide what’s best for your child, not you!!’

Our children don’t get a voice in Parliament. We do. So let’s fight back against this dangerous bill together 

Take action now: 

Email your MP and make sure they hear your concerns before 1 December!

Money CAN buy happiness.

Just not in the way most people think.

Money can’t buy happiness when you’re chasing possessions. 

Possessions will only end up owning you.

The real gift money can buy is
experiences.

Money can you give you memories and time with people you love.

It can unlock the ability to say yes to things when previously you couldn’t.

This year I’ve travelled across the world. And I flew the team out with me.

We combined work and fun and created experiences together.

That’s what I want for every single person reading this.

The freedoms, financially and physically, to be able to experience new things.

But chasing money won’t get you there.

That will only leave you miserable.

Chase purpose and let money follow your mission.

That way, every experience is fulfilling.

Why do I invest £100 into some dreamers...

And £250,000 into others?

Well, sometimes the only thing stopping someone is proof that their idea works.

A first customer and a little faith is all that person needs!

In fact, if I gave them hundreds of thousands it would probably do more harm to their dream than good.

Other times, like with Skillstore, the idea is proven.

They just need real capital to go fast and far.

I’ve learned that not every business needs investment.

In fact, 98% don’t.

But too many founders have been brainwashed by Shark Tank and Dragons’ Den that they need money to win. When really… they need belief, momentum, and a little help.

You can’t study entrepreneurship.

Sure. You can learn what a P+L is in a classroom.

But that’s just admin.

Real entrepreneurship starts the moment you take a risk.

When you’re unsure on your next step. But move forward anyway.

My first business failed in 8 months.

Telling me I CAN get into debt!

Like it’s some kind of reward.

But no matter how nicely they try to phrase it. Just know….

Your credit score is not there to help you.

20 years ago, when I left England, the credit scoring system barely existed.

Now, you can barely live without one.

Whether it’s to have a roof over your head or even just order a pizza.

You’re ENCOURAGED to take out a loan.

These private companies act like they’re doing you a favour.

But they’ve gamified financial control.

The more debt you carry, the more useful you are to them.

And that’s why, without debt, they make you jump through hoops just to live a normal life.

If I were Prime Minister, I’d ban the credit rating system tomorrow.

Because it punishes the exact people who need the most help.

Do we actually want to fix the UK’s economy?

Because yesterday’s budget announcement said otherwise.

Right now, the system punishes the wrong people…

All while protecting the right ones.

Taxes keep rising for the individuals and small businesses.

(The people who need the most support.)

The ones taking the big risks, and in the long term, bring the biggest contribution to the economy.

Meanwhile…

The global giants are STILL slipping through loopholes and dodging their fair share the same way they have for decades.

We don’t need frozen thresholds. We don’t need watered-down incentives.

What we need is a system that backs first-time founders.

That will fix the economy.

Right now, the smallest contributors are carrying the heaviest load and the ones with the most resources… pay the least.

It’s backwards.

If we want real change:
→ Reward the risk-takers
→ Back the builders
→ And make sure everyone contributes fairly

Everyone’s constantly asking “Rent or Mortgage?”

But a place to live should be a human right.

If you’re under 40 in the UK… it’s almost impossible to own a home now.

We’ve normalised something that isn’t normal at all.

People are spending £51,110 on rent before they even hit 30.

Homes cost six times the average salary when it used to be three.

And first-time buyers are being pushed into their mid-30s, the oldest EVER on record.

Here’s what’s really going on:

Buying is becoming impossible.
 ⤷ The average home in London is now £888,000. Even with a 10% deposit, repayments would be double what many pay in rent.

Wages haven’t kept up.
 ⤷ An average buyer now gives up 34.3% of their take-home pay just to cover their mortgage. That’s before bills, childcare, travel, and food.

The system is freezing people out.
 ⤷ London has seen an 8% drop in first-time buyer mortgages over the past decade.
 ⤷ Nationally, only 282,000 first-time buyer mortgages were issued last year, the lowest since 2013.

And property isn’t even a guaranteed investment anymore.
 ⤷ Asking prices grew 0.3% in the last 12 months. That’s basically nothing when you factor in inflation.

So people rent. They give up on their dreams and delay families, just to get a job they hate so they can survive.

It shouldn’t take you until 40 to have a place to call home.

A note to my 8-year-old son.

I miss you today.

Normally you’re by my side when I travel but not this time.

Social media only tends to show the positives. So life seems glamorous with the awards and viral moments.

And yes, I always tell people to try being a creator. You can turn your passion into a career. You can build freedom.

But just like everything in life, it’s not always perfect.

It’s only worth me being away from you if it has meaning.

And it does.

My mission is to help people believe in their dreams again. That’s what gets me out of bed. That’s what keeps me going.

But Aidan, you are always my first priority.

Being a good, present dad matters more than anything.

And I could do better.

But I do know that kids don’t do what we say. They do what we do.

So I hope you see what I’m trying to show you…

That giving without expecting anything back and helping people matters.

And that the purpose of life, is living a life with purpose.

My advice to all parents is don’t make your kids the reason you don’t follow your dream.

Make them the reason you do.
