Prior to starting ReportingApplications.com I was the founder of Delivery Layer - a SaaS product that powered customer facing reporting applications.

Before that I was VP of Data Strategy at Helium 10 where I led all things data (Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Product Development and Analytics). I previously ran product & analytics with P&L responsibility for Nielsen Sports, the global leader in Sports Sponsorship data.
  
Early in my career I ended up with the mix of statistical, business analysis and programming skills that would turn into the ideal background for a data scientist. Since then, I've been leading data teams, building data products and running data businesses.

My philosophy is that data isn't the hero - it's the sidekick. It's only valuable if it improves the lives of your customers, or helps someone make better decisions.

What do I do?
I discover and deliver technology solutions that help people make faster, smarter decisions, saving them time & money. Over the last 10+ years, I’ve developed a depth of knowledge in B2B software product management, platform solutions, and enterprise data management, creating efficient user experiences and facilitating better quality decisions by integrating data from various operational, 3rd party, HR, Financial, and CRM systems. My prior background in professional services and software development helped me build deep empathy for the concerns of customers, teammates, and stakeholders while guiding the development of impactful and maintainable technology solutions.

From Fortune 500 to small and mid-sized companies, I have strategized with all types of customers to drive business outcomes across a broad range of industries including healthcare, insurance, financial services, life sciences, and others.

I’m a people person and a problem solver. I enjoy discovering opportunities for improving human experience with technology. It energizes me to collaborate with visionary, smart, and humble teammates that hold themselves to a high bar for creating technically elegant, loosely coupled, impactful solutions that are easy to use and maintain.

How do I do it?
I was recently characterized by an industry peer as a “Human Swiss Army Knife”. 

My curiosity has helped me develop a broad, T-shaped skillset, allowing me to go deep quickly and adaptively based on the task at hand. I’m a critical and analytical thinker who’s equally excited to understand how different businesses and industries operate, how customers and internal teams do their work, and how data and technology can be applied to help them more effectively achieve their goals.

I build relationships based on integrity and trust, aiming to be the guy you want to celebrate with when things go well, and the guy you want in the foxhole with you when facing a tougher challenge.

Where am I based?
I’m located in northern NJ in the US and am comfortable with remote, hybrid, and in-office work after successfully collaborating remotely with teammates and customers across the globe for 15+ years.
