Have you noticed how little we remember of what what type vs what we write?

Turns out there is data to prove that writing improves our recall.

Across multiple studies, writing beats typing...

→ 10–12% higher conceptual test scores

Turns out a lot of this digital stuff slips out of our minds.

These all made me make the leap back to pen and paper.

Went back to paper.

You know what bugs me?
Like, really annoys me? 🤬
This right here.

People with big ideas.
Big goals.
Big plans.

But when it comes to doing the work?
They talk...alot... but don't do.

They'll waste hours doing stuff that won't change a thing.

But they won't do the work that gets them to their goals.

We all avoid things.
Primarily because of fear.
This happens everywhere.

In fitness.
In money.
In relationships.
In social selling.
In every area of life.

It's costs us the future we talk about.

The biggest challenge we all have is not mastering a skill. 

It's mastering ourselves.

Being able to force ourselves to act.
Being aware of fear but not controlled by it. 
Backing ourselves to go for our goals.

Here's is how to solve it...

If you want...
→ More attention on you/your brand
→ Appreciation for your thought leadership
→ People asking to work with you

You have to take more risks.

If the majority are going one way, you have two choices.

→ Try to be the loudest in your industry.
→ Do the complete opposite of your industry.

Every major trend/innovation creates a second-order opportunity in the opposite direction.

→ If your industry's conventional wisdom is X.
→ Find the contrarian opportunity.

Then instead of having to compete in read ocean of samey-ness.
You can be that person who says...guys there is another way too.

It's easy to accept "this is what the majority believes" or "this is how it is done" and go along with it. It's leadership to find your own way.

→ Look for the linear thinking
→ Find the contrarian opportunity.
→ Stand out by saying the opposite.
→ Don't be negative - advocate for the other way.

Here's what you need to do today...

→ Look for the broken things in your industry.
→ Question what is causing this issue.
→ Share your ideas of a solution.

Your opportunity is not in following the crowd - It's in leading the crowd.

You can't do that by blending in.

It really is crazy how fast technology has changed the way we live.

Your profile should pre-sell for you
If it doesn't, you have already LOST money.💸
So, make these fixes quickly...

Buyers are researching early and talking later.
Your profile is how they'll decide to talk or not.

70%+ of buyer research is done before they ever talk to you.
If you make it hard to research, they'll NEVER talk to you.

So, your profile is a critical part of the buying journey.
Will they find clarity on how you can help them?
or will it confuse them and cost you a deal?

On average, you need 11+ touchpoints before someone feels comfortable to buy. Your profile can be 50% of those touchpoints.

So what does a pre-selling profile do?
→ It shows the problem you solve.
→ It shows you have method to solve it.
→ It shows you've solved it for other people.

These are the fundamentals of a pre-selling profile.

Without these, you make your life harder.

If you make your profile clever, but not clear, you make it easier for people to buy from a competitor.

Here's what to fix:
→ Name the problem and audience in your banner
→ Be clear about your outcome in your headline
→ Add your offer / services in your featured
→ Put a call booking link in your custom link
→ Put case studies in your services

The more you leave breadcrumbs for your audience to research, they easier the sale will be.

Make it easy.

Back in 2013 I was travelling the world as a solo consultant. I loved it.

Then I started building my business.
I went from jet setting to desk bound.
Hated it.

Then in 2022, I had a blinder of an idea.

Why don't I build my client base in the places I love.

This is where LinkedIn comes into its own.

I was delivering a talk in the US a few months back.
I woke up at 3am because I hadn't adjusted to the time zone change.
I spotted an email from a friend recommending a YouTube video.

I watched the video.
It was rammed with good stuff.
Too much to remember.

I asked ChatGPT to give me simple tips to implement the same day.
I intentionally decided to do it.
But at the end of the session, 4 people signed up.

I got 4 clients and $20k in sales.

Amazing what happens when you just do what people advise.

I'll also share some practical tips to improve your posts perfrormance.

Advice goes like this....
“You need to find your niche” 🔍
That’s total nonsense.

We confuse our personal identity with our niche.
And when we do, it's almost impossible to do it.

A niche isn't an identity.
Yet so many people think a niche is who they are.
It isn't a holy grail you have to discover.

It's a choice.

→ List the problems you are capable of solving
→ List the people you could solve the problem for
→ Which are profitable spaces you can occupy?
→ Choose one problem + one group.

Niching never feels good.
Because it's counterintuitive.
More people isn't more opportunity.

→ Appealing wider means diluting.
→ It confuses your audience.
→ It confuses you. 

So make the decision. 
Become the go-to for a niche market.
Most people I meet need 3-4 clients per month.
You don't need a broad appeal to get that.

You need a handful of people to see "you can solve my issue"

Don't wait to FIND your niche, CHOOSE it.

The Attainment 8 measure shows how well pupils at do at GCSE. For many years pupils with English as additional language have outperformed those whose first language is English. The 2025 GCSE results tell us that the gap is now quite small in London and Yorkshire and The Humber and significantly larger everywhere else.

The published data, however, cannot tells us how progress scores at GCSE have changed because COVID prevented national testing for 11 year olds in 2020 and 2021.

Some key scientific words are very similar in a range of languages. Photosynthesis is one example:

fotosentez (Kurdish)
fotossíntese (Portuguese)
fotosinteză (Romanian)
fotosintezė (Lithuanian)
fotosynteza (Polish)
Фотосинтез (Ukrainian - pronounced fotosintez)
