I know you’re probably curious about my name — April Strong.
It’s not my birth name. I was born Vijayalakshmi.

In 2019, my life fell apart. And in April 2020, one quiet afternoon, something shifted.
I felt strong — not in a motivational way, but in a soul-deep way. Like I was being reborn.

I no longer wanted the identity I had outgrown. So I created a new one — to honor who I was becoming.

We often label things as ruined too quickly.
Milk that turns sour isn’t wasted - it becomes curd.
Time deepens it further into cheese.
Grapes don’t fail when they ferment - they become wine.

Nothing valuable escapes transformation.
Yet when it comes to our own lives, we panic at the first sign of “messy.”

A wrong decision.
A delayed result.
A plan that didn’t work.

What if that discomfort isn’t damage… but processing?

Growth doesn’t always look graceful.
Sometimes it smells like confusion, self-doubt, and recalibration.

But here’s the truth we rarely hear:

 Wisdom isn’t instant. It’s aged.

 Many breakthroughs were born when things went off-script.

 Not by avoiding failure, but by metabolizing it.

It’s not flawless repetition that shapes mastery, it’s conscious correction.

So the next time something feels like it’s “going wrong,” pause before judging it.

Ask instead:

A 13-second clip shows a child panicking in a pool, clinging to a rope. His sister steps in, gently lifts him. One calm moment later, he’s standing steadily. The water was barely deep at all.

The danger was never real.
The fear was.
This small moment perfectly mirrors what overthinking looks like in life and at work.

The rope was meant to help, but it became a crutch.
Fear froze action, even when the solution was simple.

One shift in perspective changed everything.
That’s exactly how overthinking works.

We cling to assumptions instead of checking facts.
We imagine worst-case outcomes before testing reality.
We stay mentally “bent over,” never realizing we can simply stand up.
In professional life, this shows up as:

These anchors make someone instantly recognisable.
These anchors make someone instantly recognisable.

And the funniest proof?
When SRK was invited to speak at 𝗬𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, everyone told him:
“Be formal. Be serious. No jokes today.”
He agreed.

Walked on stage.
And the dean quietly whispered:

So powerful that even an Ivy League audience asks for it.
And in communication, that’s gold.
Your Recall Anchor could be:

This week, during a conversation with my client, she said with a little upset in her voice
“April, I’m doing everything… but why is it taking so much time? Sometimes I feel like the universe just isn’t supporting me.”
She felt abandoned.
Unseen.
Overwhelmed.

So I played her this scene.
And I want to share it here too - because it holds one of the simplest, deepest truths about life:
𝗪𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀.
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

When you pray for patience, you won’t receive patience.
You’ll receive moments that demand patience.
When you pray for courage, you’ll meet situations that force you to be brave.

When you pray for closeness, life won’t magically soften everyone…
It will give you a chance to choose love.

This scene is a reminder:
Life answers every prayer,

“Is there a black person here?”
The Black woman freezes.
The white guy freezes.
Even the AIR freezes.

And just when you think the situation has reached maximum HR danger…

He picks up a black purse and proudly says:
“Found it!”

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

No listening issue.
No bad intentions.
Just one poorly articulated word…
and boom - a whole alternate reality is created.

This is exactly how real-life misunderstandings happen too:
And honestly?

We’ve all been this guy at some point.
Said something harmless → sounded dangerous.
Said something normal → came out weird.

But here’s the truth:
• Every new idea looks unnecessary at first.

If Bill Gates, Elon Musk, or any visionary had waited for approval, we wouldn’t have the world we have today.

Confident communicators don’t ask for permission.
They invite participation without giving away ownership.

That’s why swapping it with phrases like:
 • “What part stands out to you?”
 • “Does this align with what you were thinking?”
 • “What’s your perspective on this?”
…changes the entire energy of the room.
