Implementing features and maintaining the solution, which helps the captains and operators steer their fleet safely and efficiently through the great oceans as well as performance optimising their vessels.

I was one of the key developers implementing the integration of Single Sign On as well as reevaluating and improving our general authentication and authorisation in the application. The work is varied, consisting of small and large features, devops tasks, and architectural discussions focused on a move to microservices.

In my time in Visma e-conomic, I lead the development of the action “Send to Journal” for the workflow engine, which included a modern rewrite of the innermost core of the system. This task was challenging as a sound understanding of the book keeping domain and of the 20 year old code base was needed to develop a solution which could be used through out the system for future features. Additionally, I led a pilot project with the SRE team to create and implement an infrastructural maturity index for current and future microservices. 

While contributing to the engineering side of the company, I worked on a new authentication and authorisation service to increase security between internal services, optimised the build and deploy pipeline for the main application as well as minor tasks on internal tools and products for the platform.

I was part of the architectural team as a thesis intern - researching, developing, and validating a strategy for decoupling the monolithic architecture into microservices.

Developed a dependency scanner, which is used in the build pipelines for Sundhed.dk’s products and internal packages. The dependency scanner maps which third party dependencies are used in Sundhed.dk’s products and internal packages to make sure that all vulnerable dependencies are detected when developers push new code, such that the dependencies can be updated or exchanged, to make sure to only provide secure solutions to the users.

Primarily, the work consisted of pulling and pushing data from and to Jira and based on the data creating graphs displaying the progress and documenting these in Confluence. Specifically, I created macro functions in Visual Basic to maintain historical data and update graphs in Excel.

As a teaching assistant, I have learned to explain topics in creative ways to help the students better understand the course material. Furthermore, I have drawn parallels between course materials in addition to getting a deeper understanding of the courses, which I taught. I also improved my communication skills and the ability to explain my own thoughts together with understanding the student’s perspective.

As a student co-organiser at IT Camp for Girls, I taught girls from different high schools in Denmark about IT, mathematics, and software technology. I also helped with the planning and execution of the social activities. This improved my skills of conveying information and organising larger events.

During my time as an International Study Advisor, I helped new international master students, student wanting to go on exchange as well as students coming to DTU for exchange. The job included personal guidance of students, presentations at Study Abroad events, and answering questions regarding possibilities at DTU in person and by email. The job taught me responsibility, culture awareness and improved my presentational and social skills.

I worked in the café and the bar along with being the storage manager, whose responsibility was to buy the food and manage the storage room. This taught me to be very organised and work focused in a busy environment.

With an engineering degree focusing on computer science and mathematical modelling from the Technical University of Denmark, I focus on utilising my unique background to analyse problems and coming up with complete solutions keeping architecture, performance, and security in mind. I enjoy taking part as a team player in challenging projects which focus on innovation to benefit the company here and now and most definitely in the future.

Working as a software engineer, I am detail-oriented, quality conscious, curious, and tenacious when approaching a new task. I value working in a strongly skilled team with open communication, passion, and room for jokes. Having the motto “there are no problems, only solutions yet not found” has led me to lead new projects with great success even early in my career.

As a person, I am known for being caring, honest, and having an unmatched eagerness to learn. Currently, I am attending night classes to learn Spanish, which will be my first latin based language as well as planning travels to immerse myself in other cultures and expand my horizon. Lastly, I always aspire to be active whether that is golfing, swimming, hiking, or climbing - though occasionally a good book and a necessary cup of coffee does make me slow down.
