It was Jan 11 2026... I was starting the year with our first event.. with 350 ILH members... 

more than 90% of them had never attended a LIVE event before in their life.. it was their first experience.. 

The goal of this event was to award all the members who crossed their first milestone (freedom finisher) and inspire them to proceed towards the next income milestone (hall of fame)

It was magical. It was fulfilling. It shifted the trajectory for many of them who were procrastinating or struggling...

Lessons that I learned through this...

1 - Everyone has the desire to do something better in their life, but what keeps them stuck is the right environment... 

2 - Reinvention is the name of the game. If you are not learning, unlearning and relearning... you are already losing the game.

A mentor’s proudest moment is not revenue; It’s transformation. 🌟

This Women’s Day, I want to share the journey of my student, Rashi Chauhan.

Rashi grew up like many women in our society do…  taught to adjust, stay quiet, and fit into expectations.

Over time, that silence started taking a toll. Confidence faded. 
Self-love disappeared. 
And slowly, the emotional weight began affecting not just her, but the environment around her home and children.

Then one day, she made a decision that changed everything.

Instead of waiting for life to improve… she chose to rebuild herself.

She began focusing on the fundamentals most people ignore:

Her health.  
Her mindset.  
Her confidence.

Step by step, she invested in learning, surrounded herself with the right community, and slowly rediscovered her voice.

In March 2020, the world paused.

Institutes shut down.  
Cities went silent.  
Plans collapsed overnight.

For one coach, it was more than a lockdown. It was a moment of truth.

He had just gotten married.  
They were living in a rented house.  
His wife had left her nursing job because they believed in a shared future.

And one evening, he opened his wallet.

Inside, there was just one note.

₹2,000.

That was it.

For someone who spent his life motivating others, this was the moment when even he felt completely lost. The noise of uncertainty was loud. The responsibility was heavier than ever. And the question sitting in the room was simple but terrifying:

“What will we do now?”

But sometimes, the turning point of a life begins with remembering a single sentence.

His father had always told him something growing up:  
“Be the hero of your own story.”

That sentence refused to leave his mind.

So he did something symbolic. He took that ₹2,000 note and stuck it on the wall in front of him. Not as a reminder of scarcity… but as a reminder that this would not be the end of his story.

He chose to learn.  
He chose to surround himself with a community that believed in growth.  
He chose to invest in himself when it felt uncomfortable.

Later, he made another decision that many would call risky.

He invested ₹10 lakhs into his growth.

At that moment, ₹10 lakhs felt like ₹10 crores.

But belief has a strange way of multiplying courage.

Soon after, he launched his Diamond program priced at ₹1 lakh.

It felt bold.  
It felt uncertain.  
But he trusted the process.

On the day of launch, 92 students joined.

One day.

Fast forward to today.

His coaching ecosystem has generated ₹10+ crores in revenue, helped build 15+ one-crore champions inside his own community, and created an impact crossing ₹50 crores.

But if you ask him what his biggest achievement is, he will not talk about the numbers.

He will tell you something far simpler.

His biggest win was becoming the man his wife and father are proud of.

Because success is not only measured by revenue.

It is measured by the person you become along the journey.

The real lesson here is powerful:

Your story can change in a single moment.  
But only when you decide to take ownership of the next chapter.

Sometimes all it takes is one decision.  
One act of belief.  
One moment where you stop waiting for circumstances to change and choose to rise anyway.

And before you move on, ask yourself one honest question:

Are you the hero of your story… or are you still waiting for one?

Some professionals treat problems; a few choose to transform people. 🙌

A couple of weeks back, I had the privilege of conducting a storytelling & communication workshop for the first-year students at NIFT Delhi.

Thank you, Shreelekha Anurag, for the trust and the opportunity to work with such an energetic, curious, and courageous group of young designers.

What I noticed in that room was powerful:
The talent was already there.
The creativity was visible.
But what truly shifted during the session was clarity.

We worked on helping students move from:
 ❌ “I am creative and hardworking” to 
 ✅ “Here’s the moment that made me choose design…”

We built 60-second structured introductions.
We transformed generic answers into personal journeys.

We focused on one simple truth:
Skills make you capable.
Stories make you memorable.

Most people focus on having the right answers.

The real leverage in life and leadership often comes from asking the right questions.

Last week I had the opportunity to reconnect with Rupa Datta, Past District Director of Toastmasters District 91 (UK), during her visit to India. The last time we met was about 18 months ago in Wembley.

Our conversation moved across many themes — life, purpose, future plans, regrets (or perhaps the absence of them), politics, and the role of media in shaping public perception.

But one thing stood out again.
Rupa has a remarkable ability to ask deep, thoughtful questions.

And that reminded me of something I’ve observed repeatedly while working with professionals and leaders on communication and storytelling:

Great communicators don’t just tell powerful stories.
They ask powerful questions.

Because the quality of our thinking, conversations, and decisions is often determined by the quality of the questions we ask.

When the questions improve,
the conversations deepen,
the clarity increases,
and the stories become more meaningful.

A simple reminder for all of us:

If you want better answers in life and leadership, start by asking better questions.

I once said no to a well-paid corporate speaking gig.
And it had nothing to do with the money.

In fact, it was a perfect fit on paper.

The topic was Storytelling in Sales something I love teaching.

I was excited until I read the training brief.
They wanted the program to promote a “Hunter’s Mindset” in sales.

And that’s something I don’t believe in.

Here’s the surprising insight:
𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑎𝑠 𝑎 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑖𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑖𝑛.

The hunter mindset focuses on closing the deal at any cost.
But I believe in the Farmer Mindset.

Hunters chase transactions.
Farmers build relationships.

Hunters focus on this quarter’s target.
Farmers focus on long-term trust.

Hunters celebrate the sale.
Farmers celebrate the customer’s success.

My tactical rule:
𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝.

Over time, people trust coaches who stand for something.

A coach once did a simple experiment with 50 people and 50 balloons.
Each person was asked to:
1️⃣ Take a balloon
2️⃣ Blow it up
3️⃣ Write their name on it

All the balloons were then collected and placed in another room.

Then the coach said:
“Go inside and find the balloon with your name on it.”

The door opened.
Chaos.
People were pushing, searching, and grabbing balloons trying to find theirs.
Even after 10 minutes, many still couldn’t find their own balloon.

So the coach stopped the exercise.

This time, he gave a different instruction.
“Go inside, pick any balloon you see, read the name on it, and give it to that person.”

The door opened again.
Within two minutes, everyone had their balloon.

Then the coach said something powerful:
“This is exactly how happiness works.”

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬, 𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧.

Before diving into what happened, create context and curiosity.

Don’t just describe emotions. Reveal thoughts.

Instead of saying, “I was nervous before the pitch,”
Say, “I kept asking myself… what if I blank out? What if they reject this?”

When you verbalize internal conflict, your story becomes human. And human stories build trust.

𝟑. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞.
Most people stay in summary mode: “She encouraged me.” “My boss supported me.”

Bring it alive:
 “Haritosh, are you sure you want to take this risk?”
 “Yes. I’d rather try and fail than regret it later.”

Dialogue creates immersion.
Immersion creates connection.
Connection builds influence.

In today’s attention economy, storytelling is not a soft skill.
It’s a strategic advantage.

Instead of panicking, ask for help.

You can say:
“Let me check with you all — what was the last point we discussed?”

This does two things:
• It refreshes your memory
• It pulls the audience into the conversation

3️⃣ Acknowledge and move forward
Once you remember, simply say: 
“Thank you for that. Let’s move to the next point.”

No drama. No apology spiral. Just continue.

Here’s the secret most speakers don’t know:
Confidence isn’t about never making mistakes. It’s about handling the moment smoothly when things go wrong.

I’ve seen this with speakers, professionals, and even coaches.

“What will people think?”

“What if I mess up?”

“What if I’m judged?”

But something interesting happens…

The moment their message becomes bigger than their ego,

Because when you speak to impress, you feel pressure.
When you speak to serve, you feel purpose.

And purpose is always louder than judgement.

Fear of judgement fades when the purpose becomes stronger.
