As a Canadian with a Persian family. Its challenging to fully understand the collective trauma that the Iranian people are going through right now. But i can feel the pain of my wife's heart, and the pressure is heavy...

Over 36000 civilians were massacred by the Islamic Republic. Thousands of children... Its very heartbreaking. 

My parents in law are still in Iran. And there is an expected military invasion to occur very soon. We're praying my parents in-law get out of the country safely. Its an unpredictable situation.

All I can do is support my family with my presence and love. All I can do is be there for them when im needed. Please pray for the Persian people of Iran. The majority of them are innocent people wishing for freedom, peace and a normal life.

Sending love to all those who lost family. To all those suffering the heavy weight of darkness. May love overcome the evil that casts a shadow over Iran. May the Persian people because liberated from tbe tyranny and suffering.

Both my wife and I have been cheated on. And to be honest I was somewhat still jealous and insecure in the beginning of our relationship.

To be vulnerable i really struggled when she went to parties without me. It brought up intense feelings of overwhelm.

It was nothing to do with her. It was everything to do with the betrayal I faced before her.

But when you love someone you cant force or control them so you feel more comfortable.... My insecurity was my responsibility to overcome.

Just as my wife had to deal with her own triggers. We cant fix eachother or throw eachother into a bubble so we dont feel discomfort.

Instead I supported her with going out. She deserves freedom and to live the way she wants. Of course we have rules and boundaries. Which helps us both feel more secure. 

But the real work starts from inside. I explored each trigger and emotionally processed it with Somatic Grounding exercises. Then journaling to reset my beliefs of not feeling worthy of love. 

Fast forward 4 years and i dont have jealousy or insecurity anymore. Not just because of my healing. But because I also feel safe with Ava my wife. We need both elements of both emotional safety, while also simultaneously 
working through our shit to move forward.

You cant have one without the other. ❤️

Do you believe once a liar always a liar? Can people not change?

I've seen all shades of darkness working with professionals struggling with past trauma.

I never judge any of them.

It’s so easy to demonize people until you zoom out and understand the cause and effect of their human nature.

Why do people lie though? What the hell does someone get from breaking their moral compass?

This may sound insane, but it’s the pursuit of peace. Other than maybe psychopathic individuals, most people who lie do it to avoid momentary suffering.

Usually, it stems from childhood. Maybe mom or dad were very controlling or had extreme expectations of the person.

This creates a splitting of personalities. One that wears the mask, and the other that creates a double life.

At its root, it comes from the fear of disappointing those who love us. The fear of being abandoned, rejected, and not feeling like you’re good enough.

Man, does this ever create a lot of shame and self-disgust. The person lies to the world, but mostly lies to themselves. It’s a coping mechanism to avoid emotional pain and discomfort.

Until anyone is aware of why they do what they’re doing, the behavior cannot be changed. Most live on auto-pilot, unfortunately.

As the person who lies gets older, their brain hardwires those connections in.

The only way most break free from these toxic behaviors is when they hit rock bottom or a mental breakdown.

When an overwhelming event shakes their foundation, and the feelings of shame and dissatisfaction become so heavy, they awaken.

Yes, liars can change even far on into someone’s sixties. I’ve seen it for myself coaching many individuals.

Of course, this message isn’t about condoning lying. It’s geared towards humanizing childhood pain.

If we don’t open a door of compassion for all those struggling with all dimensions of trauma, then they will never see the light to change.

All who make mistakes have an opportunity to take responsibility and change their past story.

It’s never too late to change toxic behaviors. Your past doesn’t define you. It’s your actions today and tomorrow that do.

By engaging and being reactive, you’re only getting pulled into the matrix of the unconscious...

We live in a soulless society, where material and monetary gain cast a shadow over fulfillment and integrity...

There are many good people in this world, but unfortunately those at the top of power are mostly either psychopaths or grandiose narcissists.

In all of the drama and chaos, how does one remain true to their heart?

We must step back and stop focusing on the external. Our focus needs to turn inward. You cannot change the outside world. There are too many moving parts. But you can change how you interact in this video game called life.

First off, if the news is stressing you out, stop watching it. If toxic people are causing you suffering, let go of them...

Create a sanctuary within this world, one that cannot be influenced by darker energies...

Many of us grew up with childhood trauma, which means we become hypervigilant for our own safety. The problem is the media sells fear for ratings. 

So anytime you turn on global events, you have war, crazy old men doing terrible things, or other atrocities happening....

This isn’t actually reality, though. Our viral trends focus on the negative for views. There are equally positive and inspiring things occurring at the same time. 

My advice is to cut out the noise as much as possible, not to avoid, but to protect your own energy.

What you focus on, you will feel. Whatever you consume, you will become. 

Switch out the toxicity for things that promote your own happiness. You have one life here to live. Don’t live it being a sheep. Become a free thinker and set yourself free from the insanity.

When you f*ck up, and you feel guilty. This is a positive sign your heart is still open. Shame sends a signal to your heart... Saying, "Why are we acting this way? We need to do better...."

This feeling isnt to be feared. Embrace it. Feeling ashamed of ourselves for hurting loved ones or ourselves is as human as it gets.

See SHAME as your internal compass towards integrity, honor and love.

Those who suppress these feelings of SHAME create a life full of resentment and self hatred. Because theyre avoiding the messenger from their heart. They're not living by truth. 

The momentary discomfort from painful emotions doesn't last forever. Only if you avoid them because these feelings dont disappear. Feel it....Acknowledge the truth... And take action to better yourself and SHAME will naturally disappear.

Most importantly love yourself like your life depends on it. Hope this helps someone struggling. Dont give up.

You’re not fucking unworthy... Whats happened is that TOXIC people have conditioned you to think and feel that you are not GOOD ENOUGH.

You think you're powerless... You think you can’t trust anybody... You think everyone will always let you down...But its NOT TRUE...Its a story playing in your mind. 

This story makes you sabotage the good things and, unfortunately, pull in bad people and complex problems... Which reinforces your negative beliefs, and then you say, “See, I told you. This is just how I am. I’m broken..Nothing will ever go my way."

Thats bullshit. Its your pain playing tricks on your mind. You’re not broken. You’re wounded.. And this pain can be healed. 

You have to change the way you think. You need to heal your heart. And release this emotional pain you carry on your shoulders.

When you consistently work on releasing trauma from your body and nervous system. While also doing affirmations as much as humanly possible. While removing yourself from toxic environments and people...

Youre guaranteed to overcome your circumstances...

Its not fate thats keeping you stuck. Its lack of belief in yourself because people let you down. I believe in you. Even if you dont know me. I truly believe in you... I was just like you. 

Up until 7 years ago I thought i was fucked too. I thought nothing would ever get better. But once I started fully committing to healing and personal development. I discovered that the only thing keeping me stuck was my mindset and attitude...

Everything is burning down to the ground... Everything is going wrong... The world is doomed as we know it....

And this is exactly what the news and media want you to think. Because when youre terrified youll stay glued to each development. And their ratings go up. While your mental health decreases....

There is equally positive things occurring right this moment. But if you focus only on fear and war. Then you will trigger these emotions inside of you... What you focus on is what you will feel...

Protect your energy at all costs. Dont let dark forces influence your mind. Youre already dealing with a lot of emotional baggage from the past. Why would you want to stack more feelings of suffering ontop of yourself?

When we go through Trauma our baseline will already lean towards the negative.. This is loving awareness to pinch yourself to break this cycle. You've worked so hard on getting better. Dont let negative things happening on the news dictate your quality of life. 

This doesn't mean living under a rock. It just means dont let the negatives consume you. Otherwise you will feel bitter, angry and scared..

You deserve to be happy. But happiness is a skill. You need to regulate what you're feeding your mind. Do you want to live in a hostile or peaceful universe? Each are available to you. Peace takes more intentional effort. But suffering causes you more harm in the long term.

I was insanely angry before. I would lose my shit multiple times a day. I had no patience for anything or anyone. I literally thought this was my personality trait..

I was to find out later that this anger I carried was really a bodyguard to my heart. I was severely wounded as a child and felt like I was in an ocean of sharks. I needed to put on armor to toughen up and fight back against my abusers. The problem was that aggression ended up harming my life more than protecting me...

As a man, crying or being vulnerable is considered weakness. Even if you are dying inside, it feels better to push it down and react aggressively because then the world will not think I am fragile. At least that is what I thought. Until I lost everything not once but five times in my life...

I had to reprogram my relationship with anger. First, I had to learn how to regulate it. I started with box breathing, but when I combined breathwork with somatic grounding exercises every day in a routine, I could start seeing the rage inside of me as separate from who I was...

Anger, when suppressed for long periods, becomes a volcano. But I found that if you move toward the rage with curiosity and healing, you can reduce the power it holds over you. 

Self regulation became my foundation with anger, while weight lifting and vigorous exercise became my release. When this powerful energy hits, we have to be aware of it and not just react to it. The bigger the buffer of awareness we have, the less likely we are to hurt the people we love...

Now I am very patient and calm. But this took a couple of years of consistent work on regulation and routine before I truly overcame it. Dont give up if youre struggling with carrying this weight. Put in the work and you will see your life transform ❤️

My first real girlfriend had schizophrenia. I met her in treatment in 2011.

At first I thought she just had drinking issues.

But she was also going into violent psychosis.

Her personality would switch from a kind-hearted soul to a tiger attacking me multiple times a day....

I never had love before. I never had anyone before....

So even though she hit me often, put me down, and humiliated me… I couldn’t let go.

She went to jail for two weeks after attacking me...

I had to call my dad to call the police. Because I wasn’t able to....

Even though she ate my soul, I wouldve rather be abused than be alone....

That came from abandonment wounds and extremely low self-esteem rooted in childhood trauma...

After that relationship blew up, everything changed inside of me...

I started becoming narcissistic at times.
I started becoming just like her....

And this is an uncomfortable reality many people don’t want to look at... Many people who are abused eventually become abusers.

Why? Because prolonged violence and emotional abuse create survival responses.

Mine was control. Defend the environment so I wouldn’t feel the pain I carried.

What I was really running from was unexpressed toxic shame.... And it's wasn't just because of her. It was all the bullying I experienced as a child too.

To become a better man, I had to stop lying to myself. I had to acknowledge the pain that was done to me...and the pain I caused others.

That was the greatest decision I ever made in my life. Because I no longer hate who I am. I respect and love myself... 

Not because I was perfect, but because I stopped living in denial and took responsibility for growing past my childhood trauma story.

If you had a fucked up childhood, where one or both parents emotionally neglected you, and love felt conditional or non-existent or felt unsafe growing up, this will cause significant attachment issues as a child. 

Which will inadvertently attract you to partners with the same type of issues, not because you’re insane, but because human beings are attracted to what’s familiar....

That’s why you love songs or food from your childhood. You have an emotional connection to them. They’re familiar and become ingrained in your sense. 

The same thing happens with our parents. Whatever their behavior and actions were with us will dramatically influence how we feel in relationships. If you felt chaos, fear and drama as a kid, you’ll subconsciously seek people that elicit the same feelings....

The powerful thing is once we understand this human psychology, we can consciously challenge this old programming. But first you need to stop abandoning yourself and heal your heart. It’s your heart that will set you free. 

You open it by taking care of yourself and growing. The more you do, the more likely you’ll be able to break the generational trauma of what your parents have passed down to you with their behaviors and beliefs....

I failed grade five as a kid, I was labeled with a learning disability, later diagnosed with ADHD, and eventually also PTSD. 

Watching my peers move forward while I stayed behind was heartbreaking. It made me believe I was stupid and worthless. My self worth hit rock bottom. I became depressed and vulnerable to bullies. I was nicknamed "The Miserable One" because of how I walked, hunched over, staring at the ground, always dressed in black...

Looking back, I see I was forced into a box that didn’t fit me. I struggled with subjects like math and chemistry, but I wasn’t stupid at all. I went on to build a successful business, master social media, and change many peoples lives for the better. I even healed my PTSD through determination and my own creativity. I wasn’t what everyone told me... I was capable and intelligent. But at the time, my environment convinced me otherwise....

I felt broken and believed my life was going nowhere. That belief eventually left me homeless and drug addicted, with no self esteem. But one day, I stopped listening to the world’s opinions. I asked myself what I valued and what mattered to me. That shift allowed me to create a life filled with purpose and high self worth...

Detaching from others’ judgments changed everything... If you feel stuck, worthless or dumb because of what others have said. Understand that they don't truly know who you are. Only you know who you are. Don’t let others define your worth. Focus on your own truth. That is how you find freedom. Within you there is many gifts waiting to be unlocked. But you'll never find them if you keep giving a shit of what others think is best for you. Seek answers, journey inside your soul and you will find the real you.

This post is to break the stigma of Mental Health, and inspire those struggling.

I love fighting with my wife. Its my favorite thing to do. Just kidding. But its the most important aspect of our partnership. Because conflict pulls to the surface what needs to be resolved and healed. You cannot expect your relationship to be perfect. You will have problems for the rest of your life. But it's how you approach these problems that will define the foundation of your love. 

Behind every disagreement there is an opportunity to grow. Both partners have to be committed to working as a team though. You can't see eachother as the enemy. And if you think its important to WIN or be RIGHT. Then youre only cultivating resentment not connection. Your greatest HEALER is the mirror in front of you.. Your partner. They will trigger most wounds from your childhood. And together you have an opportunity to truly let go of the past. Approach each trigger with curiosity and look at yourself... Not just your partner. Understand you both make mistakes not just one person.

My wife's country has just been invaded. You would think that this would be a negative thing for our family...

However, this war is necessary to stop the Islamic Republic from killing and suppressing their own people. The protests that happened only months ago were met with extreme violence. In which over 30,000 civilians were massacred in 2 days. This regime is evil and must be stopped. 

The vast majority of Iranians want to be free from the dictatorship. They want democracy and human rights. It breaks my heart to see this much suffering. Unfortunately this is the only window of opportunity for Iran to be set free. I ask that you please hold the Persian people in your hearts and prayers. May the 47 years of darkness come to an end. 

Sending love to all those lost. May your loss not be in vein. One day soon i wish to step foot in my wife's country. To see the great empire of Persia stand proud once again. This revolution will not be easy. People will die. But together we can overcome the tyranny. Together good people can stand against evil. 

Free Iran. Free the Persian people.

Smashing beers and chain smoking joints was my past mental health routine. When I really wanted to escape, I'd lean hard on cocaine and a cocktail of uppers and downers. If I felt sad or uncomfortable, I always had tools to make myself feel "better."

That was until the high went away, and I ended up feeling even worse than before. I was so stuck in trying to survive day to day that I didn't even know what I was fighting for. In fact, I didn't even know that there was any hope. When you're in the shit, you don't think about sunny days. That only made me more angry because I was in such a dark hole.

Eventually, I got so sick of drugs and binge drinking. Whenever I had the thought of getting wasted, I would think of all the shameful memories I had made. It would bring a certain type of inner disgust that I felt in my stomach. Each impulse I had to do drugs was met with significant discomfort. I'd visualize the worst moments of my life each time.

This actually reprogrammed my mindset with addiction. Previously, I would feel happy at the thought of getting high. But slowly, as I met each toxic thought with this approach, my desire for getting loaded began to fade. I replaced those self sabotaging impulses with healthy ones.

I'd work out, read books, watch personal development podcasts, and created a foundation of tools like grounding exercises, affirmations, cold showers, and practicing gratitude daily. I celebrated every positive action I made, telling myself that I'm proud of my efforts each time an action was achieved. Eventually, the monster within turned into an inner guardian. My inner voice no longer wished to hurt me, and I broke free from survival mode.

If youre struggling with addiction. Don't give up. Replace those negative impulses with healthy habits. Celebrate each win you have with gratitude. You'll shift your addictive mind to crave healing and growth.

I used to black out from drinking every time I went out. Sometimes, I’d wake up in the hospital, jail, or even outside. 

I thought drinking 15 Jäger Bombs was hilarious, but the people around me sure didn’t. I’d always wake up to a laundry list of shameful things I had done.

It was truly a dangerous time in my life. I had no off switch. It was all or nothing. Every time I got wasted, I was playing Russian roulette with my life. My childhood trauma and suppressing my feelings caused me to binge drink. I had no connection to who I was and feared my overwhelming emotions, so I drowned myself in alcohol and drugs.

You hear about people hitting "bottom," and they finally wake up. Well, it took me 12 or 15 bottoms before I finally started taking accountability for my life. I tried to take my life, and that scared the crap out of me. It made me realize that my inner demons were a significant threat to my existence. That was when I took a big look in the mirror and started facing some inconvenient truths.

My first step was getting a gym membership at the YWCA. I started working out five days a week and eating super clean. It helped me feel better about myself. But exercise alone wasn’t enough to crush my demons. I combined my physical training with healing and personal development. My life became a laboratory for growth, and my top priority was learning to love and accept myself.

Fast forward to now, and I’m grateful that I don’t struggle with addiction anymore. I’m in a very healthy and fulfilling marriage, where my wife would literally eat my soul if I acted the way I used to. My life is stable because I prioritized my healing. I’ve grown to become extremely proud of myself because I put so much work into bettering my mental health.

If you’re in a dark place right now and feel hopeless, I want you to know that’s how I felt for 18 years of my life. Things will never get better until we take action. Don’t keep saying you’ll work on yourself tomorrow. That’s just bullshit we tell ourselves to keep suffering because we’ve become comfortably numb, feeling unworthy of love and peace. Let this post inspire your heart to awaken. You can live an awesome life. You just need to show up for yourself.

Went through the emergency room in Vancouver previously. The medical Psychiatrist could not believe how far I had come from overcoming Complex PTSD and Drug Addiction.

On paper I was a lost cause.. A future suicide case or destined for doing time in jail. 

That doctor gave me his WhatsApp and connected me to some young men to peer support mentor. This was almost 5 years ago and started me on my journey of Coaching and Mentorship.

At the time I had no idea it would turn into my purpose. That this chance encounter would change the very trajectory of my life. 

Fast forward to today and i lead a mental health organization. And have supported over 1000 people both 1 on 1 and in my Group programs.

Im grateful that I saw the sign from the Universe when I did. It was definitely a synchronicity! I don't know what my life would look like without this happening.

Burying yourself into your work is still emotional avoidance. Youre running from the past while pursing an awesome goal to grow your business or career. 

Real high performance comes from addressing all issues. That includes your emotional baggage from your past.

Becoming addicted to working while the rest of your life falls apart is not optimal.

Its chaos dressed up in big dreams and goals... You may be functional. Money can still be rolling in. But if you cant sit alone for 5 Mins without getting anxious and overwhelmed there is a serious problem to resolve.

Money is awesome. But its a tool. If you continue to expect it to make you happy. Then you will reinforce the emptiness in your heart.

You need to face your demons. Turn inward and understand that childhood survival patterns are still running your life. You don't need to pick at the wounds. but you do need to tools and skills to overcome your painful past.

Otherwise you will always be running. Youll never be able to truly enjoy your relationships or what life has to offer.
