I am a Professor at McGill University and a Technical Consultant focused on: Moving AI from Discussion Rooms to Full-Fledged Production, and i’m very passionate about helping all stakeholders get there.

2010 -- Assisted strategic partners, Niagara Health System and SAS Canada Inc, to design, validate, and implement the Data Integration System for Healthcare (DISH).

2009 --Shouldice Hospital, Provided information management and analysis expertise to assist healthcare clients to transition to the Ontario Hospital Reporting System.  Tasks included translation of GL Accounts to reflect and comply with OHRS standards.

Principal & Lead Consultant

Tasked with initiating Innovation, and Data Science/AI partnerships across Canada creating users and helping clients with SAS-trained candidates to succeed. Responsible for program strategy, design, and implementation.
- Promoted to National Lead from manager role within 3 years ; expanded reach from three to 70 colleges and universities in Canada within four years.  
- Acted on vision and experience to revitalize flagging academic program; reached 80% market share in three years. Initiative referred to as World Class by SAS Canada President.
- Customer Success and sales lead for Education sector managing renewals, upselling, technical support, GTM and license agreements. 70+ accounts ~1.5M.  
- Gained global approval to drive the creation of simulation game in partner collaboration. Designed, branded, tested, and delivered to market in 18 months. Achieved 300% revenue growth in first two years. 
- Released analytics simulation game called Cortex www.sas.com\cortex which is expected to reach over 15,000 academic & commercial players and $5M in sales leads in 2024. 
- Managed strategic partnerships with Innovation and Research sectors to create specialized AI Research Platforms for Fraud, Human Trafficking and Anti-terrorism.  Helping drive brand awareness and deepen relationship with customers.

Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital

Jo Brant operates 285 beds and records 13,800 admissions (95,000 patient days); 1,500 births; and 81,500 ambulatory (outpatient) visits. The hospital has a $135 million operating budget, is community owned and based, and governed by a Board of 17 members, 12 of whom are drawn from the community-at-large.

Mandated to increase capacity for the organization to report and analyze information as a means to improve quality and performance and increase funding opportunities. Provided leadership to three direct reports; managed over 300 reports and analyses annually in addition to numerous special projects.

Created, from the ground up, a high performing Decision Support department with only 2.5 full-time employees. Championed department’s function and capabilities at Board and senior administration level.

Assumed role of co-chair of Decision Support Committee for LHIN; gained $600K in funding to create and implement an integrated decision support service for the LHIN.
Developed Enterprise Risk Assessment which supported a strong case in favour of JBMH’s status change to that of a teaching hospital as a strategic partner to McMaster.
