A story circulating online from Karnataka claims that a farmer who had fully repaid his ₹50,000 loan was later contacted by the bank over an outstanding balance of ₹9.34.

According to viral reports, he visited the branch, paid ₹10, and calmly asked for 66 paise back.

His response reportedly was simple:

“If banks count every paisa from us, shouldn’t we count ours too?”

While the full context and official clarification from the bank are still not publicly available, the story has triggered an interesting debate.

Because sometimes, it’s not about the amount.

It’s about the principle.

In a system built on numbers, every decimal matters — whether it’s ₹9.34 or ₹50,000.

Lessons this story quietly reminds us of:

As a founder, I’ve seen this pattern too many times. A team builds a flashy AI demo. Everyone claps.

I had joined here from 23rd December,2021 and have been working for both Non-IT and IT projects as per our client requirements. I have worked in different roles as a Sourcer, Recruiter, in Candidate Success Management,Customer Success Management and have also done Stakeholder Management i.e. directly communicating with the Clients,Handling and Managing the Clients for some days. My responsibilities here include Screening,Sourcing,sometimes Job Posting,creating the job requisitions in the company’s internal job portal and sharing those job ids with my L1 Manager,Sharing the details of the Candidates sourced,by preparing reports in an Excel sheet to my L1 Manager, Hiring Manager and also the Clients, uploading the Candidates’ profiles with their CVs in the company’s internal job portal,preparing a proper and detailed job description and sharing it with the candidates through emails,scheduling the interviews of candidates shortlisted for the next round or initial technical round, sharing the interview schedule and also updates or cancellment (if any) with the Hiring Manager or Client, Co-ordinating with the Manager or the Client during the Online interviews or virtual drives of candidates on MS Teams or their offline interviews at the office location,doing follow ups with the candidates and providing them feedback or updates,preparing their Salary fitment forms after going through their previous employment details,filling up and sharing the Success Factor Forms with the Hiring Manager,Co-ordination during the documents collection and Onboarding of Candidates, sending them to the offer stage,sending meeting intake request with the names of the HRBP and HR Finance to the Management team of the Client company whose hiring requirements needs to be met etc.

After that,I started working as a Recruiter in the Non-IT domain for profiles such as sales,logistics,e-commerce,digital marketing,hotels etc and since I had sufficient IT knowledge and skills,so based on the discussions of the internal Hiring Managers and the Management,in February,2021 i got selected and started working as the Project In Charge of ADM Website Builder.The company was a private start-up company founded under the Qatar act & and does hiring for different positions from across India & the world & those who used to show interest & apply for the jobs as a full time or part time employee,the CRM team of the company & also I used to source and shortlist the profiles of the candidates using some ATSs,screen or review their resumes,send emails to the candidates with the detailed job description,schedule interview sessions with them,send them the interview invite link through mail & conduct their online or telephonic interviews.All those who used to join the video calling interview session,i used to take their interviews through zoom or Google meet.I used to send their details to the Senior HR Assistant,HR Admin & HR Manager in an excel sheet through emails (i.e. used to do Daily & also Monthly Reports Generation & sharing) & those who got selected,the HR Manager used to send them the offer letter after some days.I used to do follow-ups with the candidates at every step till their joining.I used to keep the data about the details of the candidates or the new joinees updated in my system(in an excel sheet format or google docs format) & properly maintain them.I used to do Employee Engagement,Employee Interactions & maintaining Employee relations with the company.I used to act as a medium between the joinees or employees & the Management & also the Senior Hiring team & do the Employees' Grievances or Issues Redressal & Handling.
