Using an AI autoresponder to respond or not reviewing the replies that you had AI generate is noticeable. 

Especially during working hours. 

Prompt it not to use the em dash and have it not repeat itself at the closing of each message. 

Nothing says "I don't care about you" more than when it's used for internal communication and you can't be bothered to be human. 

Being human still matters in our Ai filled world. Don't fall for lazy.

Update on our islet transplantation study with Tegoprubart (Eledon)
Our first patient has reached the 18-month follow-up milestone, with stable islet graft function. HbA1c remains 5.1%, and peak blood glucose during a mixed-meal tolerance test (50 g carbohydrate challenge) was only 126 mg/dL (see image). C-peptide remains robust at 2.15 pmol/mL, confirming durable graft function (figure 1).
One of our most recent patients discontinued insulin pump therapy just 5 weeks after transplantation and remains insulin-free with excellent glycemic control (HbA1c <6%, down from 7.5%; (see CGM image below).
Overall, 7 of 9 transplanted patients are insulin-independent. The remaining two are early post-transplant and currently require only low-dose insulin. Importantly, we have observed no rejection episodes, no opportunistic infections, and no unexpected side effects. Three additional patients are awaiting their first transplants.
Despite these outcomes, islet transplantation remains uncovered by insurance in the U.S. due to outdated regulations, and procedures can only be performed through research funding. Unfortunately, current funding limits enrollment to 12 patients, and we are unable to enroll additional participants at this time.
