Being CEO (or ‘Chief Architect’) at Venture Beyond, has taught me what it takes. There is no magic bullet and the founders we work with MUST be determined for success, and attack the bottlenecks as fast as we do.

We don’t sit on monthly retainers. And we won’t sit back and wait. 
We attack the result until it’s achieved.
That is why brands pay us on performance only:

A) We spend our own money and work as an Affiliate. If we fail, it hurts. It we win, we get paid.
(currently spending $1M/month of our own cash on brands we partner with). 

OR

B) We earn a % of revenue or contribution margin.

We don’t accept any brand. The opportunity cost for us is too high.
So- we will only ever work with 5 to 10 brands at any given time. 

We need to believe in the PRODUCT, the OFFER, and we need to believe in the FOUNDER.

In return- we won’t do random sparks of ‘creative genius’ when we feel like it. We will systematically engineer creatives through sequential Creative Testing, attentive Media Buying and CRO.

3. We run the ad spend.

We have managed over $100M+ in paid media on Meta, generating more than $200M in tracked revenue. We’ve taken brands from inception through to high 8-figures and got one brand into the Meta Disruptors group.

‣ Grew a Land Promotion business to 500+ homes under contract (still an Investing Partner)

‣ Flipped 22 properties during lockdown and redeveloped a block of 18 flats

‣ Misc- owned a gym, touted 10,000+ event tickets, car trader, eBay powerseller, grew a property community, ran AirBNBs, short stint in a cleaning business, was a wedding photographer.

Venture Beyond

Growth Strategist is a bit of a 'Jack Of All Trades but a master of one' role at Venture Beyond. As the PoC with the client, Growth Strategists must be excellent in designing and developing reports and answering questions from clients. They are expected to manage relationships with the clients proactively. My job role also requires some level of gatekeeping of creatives and communication that goes out to the client. 

The most important part of my roles is a combination of media planning and media buying. My role is centred around carrying out experiments and tests in both creative and media buying set-up aspects of it. As a growth strategist, I am also the chief custodian of the sales funnel and therefore I also recommend tests and improvements to optimise performance of the whole funnel.

A growth strategist is also a leader within the team of creative strategists, designers and editors who are responsible for scaling clients accounts and delivering results for client accounts. But they also handle some day-to-day leadership and middle management tasks which are centered around implementing new processes, making sure the existing processes are followed and everyone on the team feels part of the group.

After my promotion to Business Manager, I was involved in the day-to-day management fo the agency including managing creative and performance marketing teams. 
I was also responsible for building new divisions at the company including photo and video creating as well as website development teams where I was involved in all steps including recruiting, P&L for those teams. 
Leadership within the organisation comprising of setting up daily team processes, conflict resolution and managing time-offs and leaves. Was also responsible for ensuring upskilling of teams by creating courses for new platforms of performance marketing, new tools for website development such as shopify.

As a Paid Media Specialist, I was responsible for chiefly managing Google Search ads for Real Estate Clients who were our primary clients. I was responsible for the end-to-end optimisation of client accounts. This included testing different steps of the funnel of the lead generation process as well as lead to conversion rate. 

This included the following: 
1. Optimising keywords and keyword strategies to maximise ROAS. 
2. Setting up and optimising prospecting video campaigns on Facebook
3. Setting up retargeting campaigns via GDN and Facebook to push for conversions. 

Additionally, I also designed and presented weekly and monthly reports to clients on the performance of the campaigns, often directly communicating with the client.

Currently, I work as a Paid Media Specialist with expertise in driving revenue growth for e-commerce businesses. With more than 4 years of experience in managing paid advertising campaigns on Google, Meta, Tiktok and other platforms

My day-to-day work includes: 
- Analyzing campaign data and implementing optimizations to improve performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate creative content that improve performance
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to keep campaigns innovative and effective
- Identifying and conducting tests at different levels of the funnel to generate organisational intelligence

Prior to working at Venture Beyond, I studies Business with Marketing at Warwick Business School. My course helped me develop a strong understanding of different business models, strategies and trends. The business school gave me an understanding of how I could place my ideas in a Global, business perspective and objectively evaluate their merit. I was also able to learn strategic marketing principles which helped establish how marketing goals need to and can be aligned with overall business objectives. I learnt how to build and manage overall brand identity, conduct market research to identify opportunities and strengthened my skills in understanding and evaluating data.

There's no learning too steep for me and I am extremely passionate about growing in my field and working in growth-focussed environments.
