I undertook multi-faced responsibilities for designing crisp visual storytelling:

-Talking to founders, understanding how should the best pitch deck be crafted to enhance their storytelling about themselves, their journey & their business & vision.

-Designing narratives & data stories for showing value to investors of why they should invest.

-Creating content strategy.

-Designing information through visualisation of complex content into simplified visuals.

-Giving directional feedback to visual design team for optimising graphic design for a better presentation experience (A skill picked up from my previous learnings in experience & product design).

Business Storytelling & Visualisation for Sales and Investor Pitch Decks

Cosmic Monks mountain homestay & cafe

Running & managing a mountain Airbnb homestay & cafe in a dreamy Himalayan apple farming village.

It was initially planned to be a remote venture owned & co-managed by 3 partners, where I would be largely responsible for managing off-site, online operations.

But as fate would have it with the coming of the covid, I ended up moving to the mountains starting my life as a digital nomad & being hands-on to head on every aspect of running a mountain stay homestay & a cafe (4.7 stars on Airbnb)!

What followed is an adventurous roller-coaster of hands-on experience, deep entrepreneurial learnings & new skills & perspectives for both work & life.

Some of key responsibilities I lead with my skills:

- Designing, making & facilitating creative spaces & art for promoting community, culture & adventure. (The art & architecture side of me found an expression through it)
- Hosting & meeting & organising meet-ups & jams with inspiring travellers, musicians, creatives & digital nomads. (My love for people & stories & travel)
- Managing the online side of the business.
- Managing, motivating & learning collaboratively with on-site hospitality team & a remote creative team.

Running a small business up above of 2000mts in a post Covid world bought with it with unique challenges & learnings. Upgraded my ability to be adaptive & innovative for problem solving for the unexpected.

I also gained new & valuable perspectives of an alternative lifestyle :  
-Experienced how people (locals & the ex-city-dwellers) in mountain live & function in harmony with nature through vernacular practices & culture. 
- Experienced the joys & challenges of a minimalist life.
- Being a foster mama to 8 puppies of a free, mountain mama dog, a friend not a pet. 

Learning to make a life living semi-off-the-grid, undertaking challenging, long treks & mastering building fires at sub-zero temperatures taught me unforgettable lessons in resilience.

It's safe to say that it grew me as a person :)

This was a significant point in my career where I entered into the world of business storytelling as a profession for the first time. Being good at designing presentation & presenting engagingly had always just been only a useful soft skill before.

My role was to use visual design as means of telling business stories for pitching & sales.

While storytelling & visuals I was familiar with, their application in the world of VC funding was a new introduction to me!

It was a the beginning of a wonderful journey as I learnt from an experienced team who mentored as well provided challenges where I found was way to express, take feedback from and get appreciated for being able to co-create delight for clients!
