There are two types of copy:

Copy the client loves.
Copy that actually sells.

They're rarely the same.

Copy clients love...

— Fancy words 
— Clever headlines 
— Beautiful wireframing 
— Sounds impressive

Copy that sells...

— Simple words 
— Clear message 
— Speaks to the market 
— Based on what works

The more "creative" the copy, the worse it converts.

Clients love copy that makes them feel smart.

Customers buy copy that makes them feel understood.

Your job isn't to write copy your client frames on their wall.

Your job is to write copy their customers can't ignore.

I put myself in an MRI machine for a client.

Not because he asked. 

Because I thought it would make better ads.

He sells pain relief products...

And needed copy campaigns (ads, advertorials and VSLs).

On the call, I pitched the idea: "What if I get an actual MRI scan?"

He smiled. 

The kind of smile that says "this guy's crazy."

But he said yes.

So I did it.

Most copywriters would've Googled "MRI stock footage" and called it a day.

That's the difference.

Do things others won't do. 

You'll have what others don't have.

Take initiative. 

Go beyond the brief. 

Be a little crazy.

I've sold to tens of thousands of Pakistanis.

Here's what nobody tells you about the mass market:

1. Their price-to-value brain is broken.

In developed markets, higher price = higher perceived value.

In Pakistan, higher price = "yeh toh loot raha hai."

The part of the brain that equates price to value is short-circuited.

2. They expect everything for the least possible free.

"Bhai thora discount dedo." 
"Yaar pehli dafa hai, free mein kardo." 
"Itna mehnga? Kya rakha hai ismein?"

No matter how much you give, they want more for less.

3. They want to talk to a human.

Automated funnels? Landing pages? Email sequences?

Forget it.

They want WhatsApp. They want to ask questions. 

They want to feel like they're buying from a person, not a system.

"Bhai aap khud batao, worth it hai?"

4. They don't have a good relationship with money or people with money

Most people in this market are looking for handouts. 

"You have money, give it to me for free."
"He's doing good? Haram ka paisa ho ga."
"Why are you scaling? Is what you're already making not good enough for you?"

From one marketer to another...

This market is different.

What works in the US won't work here.

Adapt or lose.

Pakistan didn't hold you back.

You held yourself back and blamed Pakistan.

I know we have issues here. 

Internet issues. 
Load shedding. 
Taxes that don't make sense.

But how many people do you know who made it work anyway?

Some of them had privilege.
Some of them didn't use the right means. 

But some people did it the right way.

Thora zor lagaien, ya bahanay banein gay ya paisay... dono sath me nahe bantay.

How to deal with difficult clients.

Advice from someone who's done 3,500+ projects for 1800 different clients across 98 countries.

Don't take it personal.
Don't take it personal.
Don't take it personal.

I wrote it 3 times because you'll forget it 3 times.

1. Think of yourself as customer service. 

You're here to solve a problem. Not to be right.

2. Stop worrying about revisions. 

Revisions aren't rejection. They're part of the job.

3. And lastly, overwhelm them with options. 

Send 3 versions instead of 1. Let them feel in control.

Difficult clients aren't enemies.

They're just scared their money won't work.

Your job is to make them feel safe.

I used to scroll for hours, finding winning hooks.

Now Claude Cowork does it in 15 minutes.

How I use it:

→ Give it a page and it pulls all winning hooks and angles. 
→ Give it access to LinkedIn and it analyzes top performers and extracts what's working. 
→ Give it my messy calendar and it organizes everything. 
→ Give it access to a folder and it summarizes and categorizes.

No extra tools. No subscriptions. 

It does a bajillion things.

The only limit is your imagination.

Adding a HOW TO guide in the comments

"Bhai clients nahi mil rahe."

Show me your pitch.

No research. 
No Loom. 
No personalization. 

Just a half-hearted pitch. 

And you're surprised no one replied?

You want $5,000 clients but you're sending $50 energy.

Where's the sample you made for THEM?

Where's the one sentence that proves you spent 5 minutes on their business?

You're not getting ignored because the market is bad.

You're getting ignored because your pitch is lazy.

$5,000 clients can smell effort. They can also smell copy-paste.

Fix the energy or stay stuck.

Your choice

This is the first copy I ever wrote.

It was supposed to be an Instagram ad.

Read it.

It has paragraphs, bullet points and "what I believe in." 

It looks like a business proposal, not an ad.

The client either didn't know the format... or he was being kind and let it slide.

I didn't know what I was doing.

No mentor. 
No course. 
No idea what "copy" even meant.

I just said yes and figured it out.

That was years ago.

Now I've done 3,500+ projects. Generated millions for clients. Teach thousands of students.

But I started HERE. With this.

You're not defined by where you start.

You're defined by where you want to go. And who you want to become.

Everyone's first project is embarrassing.

Ship it anyway.

Everyone wants to leave Pakistan.

I get it. 

I've thought about it too.

But then I look at what I've built from here.

A business. 
A team. 

Foreign clients who don't care where I'm sitting as long as I deliver.

All from the same country people are desperate to escape.

The passport is weak. 
The electricity is unreliable. 
The banks ask too many questions.

And still - we compete globally.

Every Pakistani who makes it is playing on hard mode. 

And winning anyway.

So no, I'm not planning my exit.

This thought crossed my mind when I saw a message from someone today who said she landed her first gig after exploring copywriting. 

Same challenges as everyone else but not willing to quit. She made it. She'll make it no matter where she is.

This took a lot of patience, but I'm glad it worked for her.

Sometimes all you need is someone pointing you in the right direction.

There are two worlds on LinkedIn.

World 1: Real people with real jobs solving real problems.
World 2: Internet marketers talking to other internet marketers.

World 1 is raw. Organic. Authentic.
World 2 is AI comments. Posts for the sake of posts. Vanity metrics.

If you're in World 1, you're good.
If you're in World 2, you're in a bubble.

The clients you're trying to find? They're in World 1.

They don't care about your "10 tips to grow on LinkedIn."

They don't care about your follower count.

They have real problems. 

And they need to see the real side of you.

The real you solving real problems.

Break out of the bubble.

The real world is waiting.

An employer will sacrifice everything for their team.

Skip buying things so salaries get paid on time. 
Cover for mistakes. 
Treat them like family.

But an employee?

Won't think twice before quitting.

And everyone says, "that's just business."

But if it's strictly business...

Why doesn't the employer fire people the minute they're unprofitable?
Why do they carry underperformers for months hoping they'll improve?

I'm not saying employees are wrong for leaving.

I'm saying the game isn't equal.
