Be mindful of accounts that come camouflaged like this.

They are connected to 1 - 10 of your mutuals
They probably sent a connection and got accepted. 

First they InMail you
Then come asking for a demo in a manner no buyer/seller would ask.

I confronted this one, first he lashed out and also bowed out by deleting/deactivating his profile or probably blocked me.

He said I should switch to marketing, really?

Money is 70% the reason why I got into tech sales

I don't deny it.

But then I never let my happiness depend on money,
I'll say do the same if you can.

You'll find yourself wanting more if you allow it:

When you’re clearing $100k a year, you’ll want $300k
When you start making $300k every year, you’ll want $1M
Even when you get to that $1M mark, you'll be looking at $10M

It's almost never enough.

Money can buy you great things in life and give you extreme comfort.

But then there are also many things 
Your happiness should depend on and money can't buy them.

The solution is to find your balance.

Everyone's talking about sending the best cold emails.

Almost no one talks about how to respond after a prospect replies positively
This is where most outbound leaks.

Reps over-explain
Re-pitch the product
Send long paragraphs.

You don’t need another pitch
You need to respond fast, short, and simple.

Here’s a simple template I use.

"Hey Sophie,

Thank you so much for the response, are you available Tuesday at 10am or Thursday at 2pm EST?

And if it's earlier here's my calendar link."

It's simple and straightforward

The greatest thing is coaching the person who once coached you.

Three years ago, 
When I was trying to break into tech sales.

I didn't have any experience or a huge network 
Just a LinkedIn profile I was tweaking every week.

But I noticed Zeke kept viewing my profile
One day I reached out to him saying something around

“I’ve seen you stop by a few times. Figured I would introduce myself.”

That message turned into a free 4-week coaching.

I was building a list for a campaign last week.

Target accounts were solid
But something felt off.

When I cross-checked the headcounts of a few companies, the numbers didn’t add up.

Most people evaluate companies they want to join based on hype and valuation. 

They ignore what the company's current/past employees are saying.

Some things to consider:

If the product doesn't solve a real problem
You’ll fight to close deals / book meetings every day.

If leadership doesn’t care about customers, churn will erase your wins.

If they don’t care about employees, comp won't make sense
And your growth will stall no matter how hard you try.

So rather than facing this,
Do the work upfront.

There are many factors behind a good cold email campaign
If you want replies, you'll need to stack the odds up front.

Even the best message won’t matter if nobody sees it

5️⃣ Data
