Mid Market Sales Manager

Biggest zig zag I could make in my career by being the first HubSpot employee globally to focus on and sell our historically worst-performing product line. I hated selling it as a rep, and now I had to become the subject matter expert on it. 

The worst part of the pivot was going from managing my book of business and sales cycles / play calls to having to assimilate into ~450 different sales reps' processes when they needed to close Service Hub deals. Worked on getting better at that till the day I left the role.

This project ended up working, and this team is consistently closing the most Service Hub MRR in the company as I scaled it globally.

- $0 to $10m ARR in Service Hub Sales in the first year
- Created the new hire onboarding training
- Published Rep Playbooks and Competitive Playbooks to sell and win more globally
- Grew the team from 1 to 14 in 9 months
- Collaborated directly with the Service Hub product team for updates and prioritization of new tools
- Coauthored target personas with marketing

2022 Attainment (May to Dec): 204%

I would have made President's Club again, but they didn't let me qualify because it was a new role. So awesome

Best year I had in the funnel so far. I covered outside downtown Austin, TX, specifically. 

Really fun time, living in the actual patch. I got to do some in persons (Texas didn't really shut down with the pandemic) and prospect with some genuine context, given that I drove by or lived near most of the businesses I sold to. 

My favorite deals were Hedera Hashgraph, Zinda Law Group, Ulrich Barn Builders, ShipperHQ, Spark Cognition, and Auxly Cannabis Group.

Got to sell to the heart of the country in Texas and up to Oklahoma. Wide gambit of conversations; one call, I'm on with a cutting-edge tech company in Austin; the next, I'm talking to a home manufacturer in Tulsa.

- Ownership of the full sales cycle from lead to close
- Establish lasting relationships with executives and decision-makers
- Foster new relationships for HubSpot through inbound/outbound efforts
- Help educate customers on the value of HubSpot throughout the adoption cycle
- Navigate key decision-makers to build HubSpot awareness within organizations

- Conduct periodic customer health checks with an emphasis on customer happiness
- Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas, including product
