•	Support the development of national asylum systems in the Northern, Central and Eastern Caribbean region through implementing a quality assurance (QAI) project resulting in reports providing for diagnostic and recommendations for each asylum institutions.
•	Support the government asylum bodies in implementation of the relevant QAI recommendations, through the adoption of an action plan, assess budget needs etc.
•	Provide recommendations for the design, development and implementation of RSD processing schemes, taking into account UNHCR Procedural Guidelines and Standards.
•	Generate tools required for RSD procedures, including interviewing and assessment templates, COI depositories and risk profiles.
•	Designing pilot phase, timelines, indicators and evaluation guidelines for the adherence of the asylum institutions.
•	Support asylum entities, including national eligibility officers to apply international and regional standards on refugee status determination.
•	Conduct frequent missions to the region to conduct capacity-building activities, on the job training etc.

With over 20 years of experience in international relations, human rights, and policy analysis, I am passionate about supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the Caribbean region. As an Asylum Capacity Development Officer at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, I work with national authorities and partners to develop and implement quality assurance initiatives, tools, and recommendations for asylum institutions and procedures. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having a verified international academic qualification in law and a certification in humanitarian response.

In my most recent role, I was responsible for implementing a quality assurance project in the Northern, Central, and Eastern Caribbean region, resulting in reports providing diagnostic and recommendations for each asylum institution.
