The same happens in sales organisations. Success breeds caution. 
Teams start managing the process instead of chasing the opportunity. 
Fear of failure and risk aversion creep in, and momentum and optimism fade.

Experienced revenue leaders know growth demands movement — experimentation, iteration, and the courage to challenge what’s already working. 

Because the moment a team stops taking risks, it stops winning.
And the moment we stop winning, we stop growing and having fun.

Fight the Referees and keep taking Risks.

Failure is an inevitable part of growth—yet, when we tell our stories, we often skip over what went wrong and focus only on the wins.

But Failure is where the real Learning happens.

Think about a video game. 
You don’t beat yourself up for not clearing level one on the first try—you go again. 
You refine your strategy. 
You figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Failure isn’t final. 
It’s just an unplanned outcome. ( I should stick this on a mug or T-shirt...)

Thomas Edison famously said after a thousand failed attempts at the light bulb: “I now know a thousand ways a light bulb doesn’t work.”

In business, the same principle applies. 
A setback doesn’t mean you’re incapable—it simply means that approach, timing, or execution wasn’t right. 
The key question is: what did you learn?

Because if you take the lesson, you’re already one step closer to success.
