Returning to my alma mater, Santa Clara University , for the 2026 AI + Healthcare Conference at the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business  was an incredible way to start the morning.

The event brought together leaders from academia, biotech, venture capital, and AI research to explore a critical question: what it actually takes to deploy AI in healthcare in the real world.

The event was hosted by the AI and Healthcare Justice Lab at Santa Clara University and supported by the National Institutes of Health AIM-AHEAD Consortium and OCHIN.

It was inspiring to see how collaboration across research, industry, and venture capital is accelerating the responsible adoption of AI in healthcare. The future of AI in medicine will depend not just on algorithms, but on infrastructure, ethics, policy, and cross-sector collaboration.

Great to reconnect with fellow innovators and contribute to the conversation on where healthcare AI is headed next.

This week’s trip to DC has brought a lot of reflection.

Nearly 50 years ago, my parents came to the United States, and our very first port of entry into this incredible country was Washington Dulles Airport. That moment marked the beginning of our family’s American journey.

Last night, it was truly inspiring to watch the President of the United States deliver the State of the Union address to the American people.

The Union is strong — and it will continue to grow stronger. America remains the most amazing country in the world, built on the resilience and determination of its people.

Congratulations to the administration on many accomplishments in just one year!

This week has been about meeting the legends of Silicon Valley. The first stop turned into a memorable Holi celebration dinner with Sanjay Jha .

Sanjay is widely respected for his transformative leadership in the global semiconductor and mobile industry. As CEO and Chairman of GlobalFoundries  and previously Co-CEO and Chairman of Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) , he led the company through a critical turnaround, revitalizing its smartphone business and launching iconic devices like the Droid lineup. Before that, during his long tenure at Qualcomm , he served as President and COO, helping scale the company into a global powerhouse in wireless technology and driving the adoption of 3G and early smartphone platforms worldwide.

A fantastic evening of conversation covering technology, leadership, markets, and the evolving global landscape — made even more special celebrating the spirit of Holi with great friends. 🎨✨
