 • 50,000-300,000+ impressions
 • Hundreds or thousands of comments

You’re essentially just redirecting existing attention.

2. Operate inside the 5-24 hour window

Every launch follows this curve:

- Hour 0–2: Announcement
- Hour 3–12: Peak curiosity
- Hour 24+: Saturation

Too early = confusion.
Too late = noise.

The sweet spot is once people understand what happened but before everyone posts about it.

Monitor key companies and founders in your space so you’re not reacting late.

3. Structure the post correctly

You are NOT reporting news.

You simply need to translate it for your ICP.

Structure:

- Context + consequence (What happened + why it matters for them)
- Immediate practical value (Share prompts, frameworks, comparisons)
- Simple action trigger (“Comment GUIDE and I’ll send the breakdown.”)

Every comment increases distribution because LinkedIn surfaces the post to parts of that person’s network.

Comments = distribution loops.

4. Prepare before the trend hits

If your profile doesn’t convert, viral reach is wasted.

Have ready:
 • Clear headline focused on outcomes
 • Calendar link for high-intent prospects
 • Simple resource page to capture emails

The post creates attention and then the funnel converts it.

Flow should look like:

Post → Profile → Resource → Email → Call → Offer

Even a 2–3% conversion from engaged readers can mean 20+ qualified conversations from one spike.

5. Use trend posts as accelerators

Do NOT rely on them alone.

Baseline content will actually build trust, but trends are great for capturing mass-market attention.

If you want to test this:

- Identify one upcoming event in your industry.
- Pre-build a useful resource tied to it.
- Post within 24 hours of the announcement.
- Reply to every comment in the first hour.
- Track profile clicks and booked calls.

Do that three times and you’ll understand how attention compounds.

LinkedIn rewards relevance at the right moment.

And relevance is predictable if you pay attention.

Everyone in your niche is posting the same recycled garbage. Motivational fluff. Reposts. "Excited to announce" updates nobody asked for

Zero hook. Zero personality. Zero engagement

Meanwhile their buyers are scrolling LinkedIn every morning for 20 to 30 minutes looking for someone worth following

Here's exactly what to do about it:

First fix your profile. This is your landing page. Clean headshot, clean banner, and a headline that leads with an outcome, a timeframe, and a mechanism. Something like "I help X achieve Y in Z days by doing W." Nobody cares about your job title. They care about what you can do for them. Your about section should read like a mini sales letter. Call out your ICP, name their pain, explain your solution, give them a clear next step at the bottom

Now you need a base to post to. Without connections you have nothing

Go find the biggest thought leaders in your niche and start connecting with everyone who comments on their posts. These are high intent people. They're already engaged, already interested in your world. Do 20 connections a day. LinkedIn caps you at around 150 a week so just be consistent

While you're building that base, comment 30 times a day. Not "great post" garbage. Add something real. Disagree with half of them. Controversy is the most underused tool on LinkedIn because everyone's so terrified of being negative. A well-reasoned pushback comment will outperform a hundred compliments every time. This also signals to the algorithm you're a real active person which directly increases how far your posts get distributed

Now post five-seven times a week. Always include an image. A photo of you working, on a podcast, anywhere with context. Text-only posts are invisible unless the hook is insane. You need to take up as much screen real estate as possible and interrupt the scroll

For the actual content: lead with top of funnel. Broad, valuable, useful posts. Step by step breakdowns. Lists. System reveals. Two personal posts a week mixed in

Do two lead magnets a week as well. Give away a template, a database, a prompt library, a swipe file. Something genuinely useful your ICP would save

Once a week, pick a big name in your space and break down their strategy. Tag them. Roast them constructively. If they comment on that post you've essentially borrowed their entire audience for a day

Get a few friends or partneres in your industry posting too and share each other's content in a group chat. LinkedIn rewards engagement velocity. The first 30 minutes after you post is everything

There's a lot more you could get into with this - Engagement pods, DM sequences, content repurposing systems, analytics, all of it. 

But these are the basics...

Do them for 90 days without stopping and you will 100% see results.

They recently listed a Content Strategist role paying $310k–$393k base to define how ChatGPT communicates to the world.

Think about that for a second.

The companies building the tools that supposedly replace writers…

Are aggressively hiring writers.

Why?

Because AI can generate words.

But it still can’t do the things that actually move pipeline:
• Decide what ideas are worth publishing
• Build narratives that shape markets
• Create taste and positioning
• Turn content into demand

Models are great at execution.

Humans are still responsible for direction.

That’s why most AI-generated content feels the same.

It’s technically correct.

But strategically empty.

And the companies building these models know it.

The next few years won’t be humans vs AI.

It will be humans with taste + AI for leverage.

Everyone else will be publishing generic slop.

And if the companies building the models are paying $300k+ for people who understand content…

That should probably tell you something about where this market is heading.
