I’ve worked with creators for over 3 years on their marketing.

And most of them struggle with the same root issue:

They focus on the WRONG things.

The things that don't get money in.

They:

- Try random tactics without defining their audience
- Rewrite headlines without fixing the messaging
- Blame tools, channels, or agencies
- Adjust funnels without assessing
 
It’s non-important tweaks.

It's like changing the wallpaper while the house is sliding off a cliff.

And when results don’t improve, the blame shifts:

“Our agency sends bad leads.”
“Our CRM doesn’t have the right features.”
“This channel is dead, let’s try another.”

But the deeper marketing problems?

Still untouched.

And they usually come from the same patterns:

Product-centric thinking: “Our product is the best.”
Sunk cost mindset: “We’ve already built it this way.”
Market denial: “The market will adjust to us.”

Meanwhile, strategic and product issues quietly suffocate growth.

Here’s the framework I use to break the cycle —

 The 4 Layers of Content Marketing Problems:


1. Low Importance

Copy, channels, tactics, and tools.

Low criticality.

Create a backlog, experiment, iterate.

2. Mid Importance

Systems, processes, KPIs, and team alignment.

Needs a 3-month roadmap.

Audit, redesign, rebuild.

3. Important

ICP, positioning, offer, messaging.

This is where most companies lose value fast.

 Every day you delay, you accumulate marketing debt.

4. Core
The hardest layer.

Your product may not match the market’s real pain.

You may need to narrow the use case or pivot toward a stronger, more urgent, recognized problem.

If you don’t diagnose the right layer, you can’t fix the right problem.

Most brands aren’t underperforming because of bad tactics.

They’re underperforming because they’re solving the wrong problem entirely.

You’re talking to the wrong stage of your audience.

You're posting TOFU content… expecting BOFU results.

Or pushing BOFU offers… to a TOFU audience.

Here’s the simple truth:

Not every post is meant to convert.

But every post should move people closer to a conversion.

That’s where TOFU → MOFU → BOFU comes in 👇

TOFU — Top of Funnel

Goal: Get attention. Build awareness.

Audience: People who don’t know you (yet).

Think:

 • Educational posts
 • Myths, tips, frameworks
 • “Here’s something valuable you didn’t know”

TOFU = “Hey, I exist.”

MOFU — Middle of Funnel

Goal: Build trust. Prove credibility.

Audience: People who follow, like, or know of you.

Think:

 • Case studies
 • Behind-the-scenes
 • Your process
 • Mini stories with real outcomes

MOFU = “Here’s why I’m worth listening to.”

BOFU — Bottom of Funnel

Goal: Convert.

Audience: Warm leads ready for a next step.

Think:

 • Clear CTA
 • Offers
 • Spots open
 • Testimonials
 • “DM me X”

BOFU = “Here’s how to buy.”

Here’s the part most brands miss:

If you overpost TOFU → you get followers, not revenue.
 If you overpost BOFU → you get ignored.
 If you overpost MOFU → you grow too slowly.

The brands winning right now?

They balance all three like a system, not a guessing game.

Writing online is simple.

Until you start thinking too much.

“Will this go viral?”
“Will they like it?”
“Is this too basic?”
“What if no one comments?”

That’s when your post dies before it’s posted.

Here’s the fix:

- Write what you know.
- Say it like you mean it.
- And keep hitting publish.
- You’re not trying to win likes.
- You’re trying to build trust.

Good marketing builds trust. 

Great marketing builds belief. 

And the best marketing? 

It builds a future people want to live in.

A lot of people miss this, so I will remind them:


Learning doesn't = progress.
Learning + ACTION = progress.

That's why business owners don't have degrees.

The people who win on LinkedIn aren’t always the smartest or most skilled. 

They’re just the ones who stayed long enough to figure out what works. 

If you’re not getting results, it doesn’t mean you’re not good. 

It might just mean you haven’t been loud, clear, or consistent enough yet.

Branding is how people see you.

Marketing is how they find you.

Sales is how you get paid.

Most businesses focus on one and ignore the others.

But the truth is simple:

If people don’t remember you → branding is broken.
If people can’t find you → marketing is broken.
If people don’t buy → sales is broken.

Master all three and your business becomes unstoppable.

PS. you don’t need more time. 



You need fewer distractions pretending to be opportunities.

Fixed mindset costs more than failure,
it costs growth.

A growth mindset doesn’t mean good vibes only.

It means:

→ Choosing growth when it’s messy
→ Learning when it hurts
→ Showing up when it's easier to quit

Here’s how it looks in real life:

- Fails and learns
- Tries hard, not perfect
- Accepts feedback
- Doesn’t beg for praise
- Handles Ls with grace
- Believes in cause → effect
- Sees challenge as fuel
- Counts the small wins
- Evolves with change
- Finds good in bad

Your mindset writes your future.

The kind that sound like you know what they’re feeling before they say it. 

Clarity sells more than design.

Until people feel seen, they won’t care how clean your carousel looks.
