From Oil and Gas to Tech Sales
With a degree in oil and gas engineering, I found my true calling in tech and sales. My journey began as a Sales Development Representative in Colombia, and I’ve since climbed the ladder to VP of Sales for APAC and EMEA at Ontop. In this role, I led a team of 90 experts, generating over $15M in annual recurring revenue, and launched RecruitGo to $1.5M ARR in less than 10 months.

Having worn multiple hats across the sales cycle—from development to management—I understand the nuances and challenges of every role, which allows me to lead with empathy and strategy.

Portfolio vendors included Juniper, Nokia, Mimecast, Infocyte, Onespan, NCipher, HID Global and Lifesize.

Stylesight was acquired by Ascential plc, owner of the Cannes Lions International Creative Festival.
We quickly built an organisation comprising management team, direct sales, customer service, advisory, marketing and support functions for across the Geo. We developed and executed a channel strategy for Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and India. Post acquisition, I was retained to support the integration of Stylesight with the acquirer.

A Different Kind Of 2026 Kick-off.......

Last night we hosted a "sell-out" for our Pavilion Middle East 2026 Tee-off event at Topgolf Dubai. And yes, we chose to "Tee-off" rather than "Kick-off" — though I can’t promise the quality of the golf always matched the quality of the conversation.

We started the evening with a panel discussion featuring three true industry veterans: Martin Brown, Werno Gevers and Alex Shelton

It wasn't just high-level theory. We got into the weeds on what it actually means to lead in the modern GTM era. We covered the full spectrum:

⛳ The specific character traits required to thrive at different growth stages (from "Zero-to-One" startups to $100m ARR+ enterprises).
⛳ How to effectively engage with leadership and navigate a competitive job search.
⛳ The very real nuances of doing business in the Middle East, with a specific focus on Saudi Arabia.

The audience — a mix of our Executive and Associate members — didn't hold back, throwing in some challenging supplementary questions that kept the panel on their toes and taking full advantage of having access to these senior executives in this unique environment.
