I’m just going to say it: Being "the best" is a scam.

I see so many founders wasting months trying to prove they are 10% faster or 5% cheaper than the guy next door. 

It’s exhausting to watch because, honestly? 

Your customers don’t care about "slightly better."

When I work with my clients, I tell them to stop trying to win a race that’s already crowded. 

Instead, we use De-positioning.

It sounds like a big word, but it's simple: 

You make your competitor's "strength" look like a total headache.

If they are "Big and Established," you make them look "Slow and Outdated." 

If they have "1,000 Features," you make them look "Messy and Confusing."

Apple did this perfectly. 

They didn't try to build a better office computer than Microsoft. 

They just made the PC look like a boring tool for "suits" and made the Mac look like the only option for people with a soul. 

They didn't win by being better; they won by making the other guy look like a relic.

Stop trying to fit in. 

Start making the "old way" of doing things look like a mistake.

The Positioning Strategy Nobody Uses (But Everyone Should)

Behind the brand: My actual morning routine (not the Instagram version)

5:47 AM – Hit snooze.
6:13 AM – Actually wake up.
6:30 AM – Scroll LinkedIn in bed (bad habit).
6:50 AM – Wake the kids, get them ready for school.
7:15 AM – Make breakfast, pack lunches, double-check backpacks.
7:40 AM – School drop-off.
8:10 AM – Coffee + review yesterday’s client results.
8:30 AM – Shower.
9:00 AM – First client call.

Is it optimized?
No.

Does it work?
Yes.

Here’s what I’ve learned after building a multiple 6-figure personal branding business from home, with 3 kids and zero “perfect” systems:

- You don’t need a 5 AM miracle morning to grow a brand.
- You don’t need a cold plunge, a green juice, or an hour of journaling.
- You don’t need to look productive to lead a high-performing business.

- You need momentum.
- You need systems that match your real life.
- You need clarity on what actually moves the needle. 

(For me, that’s client results, not aesthetic routines.)

The truth is…most productivity advice is just performance.
It’s not sustainable. And it’s not honest.

So I’ve stopped following it because I don’t want to LOOK productive.

I just need to be effective.

And some mornings that just means showing up tired, caffeinated, and clear on your mission.
