I didn’t know how to negotiate with people until 


I failed multiple times.

We often see negotiation a like a way to prove our worth. We talk, explain and defend so much. When all you need to do is make the other person feel safe enough to find a middle ground. 

Here's what I do now:

1. Start with constraints - 
Earlier, when a budget didn’t work, I’d say, “This won’t be possible.”

Now I say, “The scope and quality are clear. Should we adjust timelines or deliverables to make this work?”

2. Understand what’s not being said - 
When timelines feel impossible, I ask, “What’s driving the urgency?”
Often, it was pressure, expectations, or fear of delay.

Once you understand the reason, solutions become easier to find.

3. Stop filling silences - 
When someone says, “This feels expensive,” don't rush to justify.
I ask, “What budget feels comfortable?” and wait.

Most negotiations fail because we answer questions that were never asked.

But honestly, negotiation becomes easier when you don't try to impress but understand what they have in mind. 

That is when things start working out in your favour.

Anupam Mittal and Mohit Yadav (Minimalist) are making this mistake.


I was reading their posts on LinkedIn today and I honestly feel confused.

I’ve been watching them on Shark Tank and you can just see the depth of their experience. But then I see their posts and the disconnect is shocking.

And honestly, it's not just them. 

Since the last few months, it feels like every founder sounds exactly the same. It’s like someone just took a few basic ideas, ran them through GPT and hit post.

I think the word "ghostwriter" has been misunderstood lately. Like everyone thinks they can do it because they can AI for "10 topics for entrepreneurs." 

But if you’re writing for someone who has built a multi-crore company, shouldn’t the writing show atleast 50% of that gravity?

It’s actually a bit scary to think about it. The person writing for you is building your brand's future reputation. If you hire them only because they grew "X account by 50K followers" then 5 years later, your profile won't be different. 

I don’t want to sound negative because I look up to them as entrepreneurs, but if they skip sharing the real stuff, who do we learn from? 

Do we care about posting every day or actually sharing what sounds like us?

Our generation just cannot be bad at something.


Most people I know live at the extremes. 

They either want to do everything like a career, side hustle, social life, fitness or nothing beyond cafe hopping, partying and scrolling. 

Somewhere along the way, hobbies got reduced to “vibes.”

Like I recently mentioned that I started painting again. The reaction surprised me. “So boring.” “So uncool.” “Why would you do that?”

That response says more about where we are than about painting.

Have you noticed how watching someone fully in their element just hits differently? Because they’re good at something.

They’ve practiced, struggled and earned that. That’s what gives people depth.

Another underrated part is being willing to suck. Real confidence doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from learning in public, laughing at yourself and staying with discomfort long enough to grow.

You don’t have to love everything you try. Sometimes the win is simply knowing what isn’t for you. But that clarity only comes from showing up.

If you ever feel bored, restless, or under-stimulated, it’s because you’re under-engaged.

You don’t have to monetize your hobbies or post about them. You just have to care about something enough to keep showing up.

That’s real aura.

Still can't believe, I have been active here consistently,
Every single week these years.
And during this, both the platform and I have changed so much. 

Earlier, content worked if it sounded smart. Now, it works if it feels honest and clear.

Branding used to be about formats and templates. Today, it’s about whether people understand how you think after reading a post.

A few things the platform has left me with is -  
• Posting more doesn’t matter if people don’t stay
• Titles matter less than insight
• Strong personal brands are built on recall > reach

My life has also changed so much with this (and I am so glad it did), more responsibility and so many lessons.

There is still so much I don’t know about. 

And honestly, that makes me want to stay here even more.

YouTube and Instagram are becoming CVs and you have no idea how. 


Today, if I am hiring someone for marketing or sales for a company that I start, I do not want to see a paper with your qualifications. 

I want to see some solid results and the best proof is their socials. If they have an audience of 20-30k, I will hire them immediately. 

YouTube and Instagram are not sources of making money....they are sources of passive income.

Their main purpose is to make sure that you are visible. For eg- A comedian does not upload his/her video to get views to make ad-revenue from YouTube. They want people to know them, see how their quality of comedy is and come to their live shows, the same goes for singers and other artists.

The same goes for graphic designers, freelancers, makeup artists and everyone, especially in service or D2C businesses.

You have to be visible and build a solid recall factor for people to know you. That's the definition of a true personal brand.

Your generation is f*cked up! 


I met a founder last week who said me this. 
She's 32 and built 2 solid companies. And she looked at me and said:

"Your generation gets it. You want to explore. You're not blind like we were."
but.... "That's exactly why most of you will fail."

She didn't sugarcoat it at all and she is right.

> You know too much, but do too little.  
> You explore everything, but master nothing.  
> You're aware of the problems, but you won't fix them.

She said she's watched hundreds of 20-somethings who are smart, talented and self aware, but they all fuck up the same way:

→ They're full of excuses 
→ They think short-term 
→ They don't invest in themselves  
→ They stay on beginner level  
→ They don't put in the work  

"Your generation needs to learn that, if you don't go all in now, you'll spend your 30s regretting it."

I don't know if this will land for you. But it really made me go nuts. 

But are you all over the place or genuinely obsessed?

I can literally do anything for views.


A creator with 5M followers said this out in one of her vlogs. 

Casually, like it was literally nothing. And I haven't stopped thinking about it since then. 

I don't know why nobody talks about the weird headspace social media puts you in, no matter how hard you try to ignore it. 

She's out there living what looks like a dream, PR packages, brand trips to places I've only Googled, collaborations that pay more than most people's salaries. And her biggest problem is finding the best cheesecake in town.

Meanwhile, I'm here. Building something I'm genuinely proud of, creating content I believe in. But the moment her reel pops up on my feed, I'm back in that loop. Reimagining my entire journey and wondering where I was behind. 

And now I'm tired of pretending that doesn't happen.

The algorithm loves showing us people who seem to have it all figured out. And no matter how confident you are with yourself, you surely feel, "Why not me?"

But feeling this way doesn't make you ungrateful. It makes you human. 

These feelings are valid too. Because the truth is everyone wants some version of that life. So yeah, I did feel weird. 

But I'm also choosing to show up anyway. To trust that my version of success doesn't have to look like hers. And maybe that's the real flex.

I don’t understand why people overlook the easiest revenue hack.


Right now, the world is obsessed with outreach. Cold DMs or “10 ways to land clients on LinkedIn” or lead generation automation. 

But the best thing for my business have been Referrals!!

When someone comes to you because a client recommended you, they don’t question your credibility. They just want to know what you can do and the conversation moves forward.

There’s also a psychological layer too that people negotiate less when they’re referred. Nobody wants to look cheap in front of someone they know.

Referrals have stayed consistent for me for years. The reason is simple, Obsessive Client Servicing. 

Deliver work so good that when someone says, “I’ve worked with her for over a year,” that sentence alone sells you.

Do your job so good that others sell for you even when you’re not in the room.

You’re not underpaid. 


That sentence makes people so uncomfortable, but it is the reality. 

Every time you get paid, it’s not because of effort or intent.

It’s compensation for the value you created. And that only exists because you’re skilled at something someone else needs.

So forget the titles, motivation and “follow your passion” advice, because the reality is no skill means no advantage.

A lot of people talk about side hustles, solopreneurship, or financial freedom as if it starts with mindset. It doesn’t. 

It starts with being able to do one thing well enough that someone is willing to pay for it. That’s the smallest, most basic unit of income.

What people forget is that the market doesn’t pay for how hard you worked to learn something but for how useful that skill is right now. 

So if your income isn't growing, it’s because the value you create hasn’t grown.

The good news is that this is learnable. You don’t need to be exceptional at 10 things. You need to be reliably good at one thing that solves a real problem. 

That's it. Money is transactional, no matter you believe or not!

Nobody tells you this at 22.


Look, I still don't have it figured out. 

But we're all doing things scared, unsure if they'll work out. And honestly, that's the whole point.

Because spoiler alert: the best time doesn't exist. 

I've watched friends (and myself) freeze because we're too busy calculating outcomes instead of trying. We want guarantees before we even take step one.

But life doesn't work like that. So, do things for the process, not the outcome.

- Start that side project because it excites you, not because it might go viral
- Reach out to people without expecting them to respond
- Create without waiting for applause

So, do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

Just do it scared, broke, unsure and even alone if you have to.

What's one thing you've been putting off because you're waiting for certainty?

You don’t need to tell people what you ate for breakfast to build a personal brand.


You need to show them how you think.

I’ve been working in this industry for the last 3 years and I have learned this! 

People don’t decide credibility based on your visibility. They judge it by the quality of your decisions.

That’s why a post about rejecting a high-paying client says more about your personal brand than a dozen “busy day at work” updates.

When you share why you walked away from good money, it subconsciously tells the audience you have leverage and standards.

Building your brand means your judgement, decisions and perspective. 

The moment your content helps someone think better, people come back for more.

I turned down a 5 figure client when I started freelancing and


 trust me, it was the best decision I made.

As somebody who had just started, the money was good. But it was very clear, that everything would be micromanaged. 

The belief was: “I’m paying, so I know better."

It literally made me question everything I knew.  

As a professional, my job is to know what will work, what will flop, and why.  When that expertise is constantly questioned, it feels shallow. 

Which is why I stepped back because alignment > paychecks. 

And surprisingly, the moment I stopped tolerating disrespect as “high-paying work,” I started attracting clients who trusted my thinking

Sometimes the best financial decision is about choosing better.

Dropping clients was the best strategy that helped me scale!


And I’m saying this after years of working closely with founders and teams who genuinely want to build something meaningful. 

There is a massive difference between founders who take LinkedIn seriously and founders who take linkedIn too seriously!

Founders who see LinkedIn as a growth channel respect strategy, trust execution and judge outcomes over time are excellent to work with.

While founders who treat LinkedIn as their heart and soul micromanage every word, post and little thing are people who should be dropped. 

No money that comes at the cost of peace of mind is worth it. 

Because they cost more than they pay. They will drain your focus and make scaling impossible because your mental bandwidth is permanently occupied.

Dropping clients is also a strategy. Sometimes the fastest way to grow is to let go of accounts that keep you small, reactive and exhausted. 

Your peace of mind will compound far better than revenue that comes with daily friction.

Social media is my literal office, yet I don't scroll every hour! 


It sounds like a lie, right?

Most people think being a Social Media Manager or Creator means getting paid to doomscroll. They imagine us lost on IG for hours calling it research. 

But if you’re “working” on social media and find yourself laughing at a cat video 20 minutes later, you need to change things!

So to avoid the distraction, I changed things completely: 

--> I never open a platform without an objective. If the goal is "Plan 5 posts," I don’t look at the feed, check notifications or see "see what’s trending." I go straight to the task. 

--> I uninstalled work-related apps from my phone. If I need to post something, it happens through my laptop only. By adding 30 seconds of physical effort to access the apps, I already don't feel bored anymore. 

--> I use a modified Pomodoro technique where I spend 50 minutes in a "Deep Work" zero tabs open except my creation tools. When that timer hits, I walk away from the screen entirely. 

Willpower and motivation is finite and mine honestly runs out by 4:00 PM. So I use my morning hours and they keep things running for me the entire day. 

Trust me, my output has tripled, my screen time (for personal use) is under 30 minutes and I actually enjoy my life outside of my phone. .

Took a lot, and it still gets difficult but I am trying to stay at it no matter what!
