I focus on attracting talent across the organization through direct sourcing, marketing campaigns and leading ecobee's employer branding strategy. 

I work directly with hiring teams and Recruiters to fill key roles. I work on roles across the organization and specialize in engineering or tech roles. Staying familiar with ecobee's tech stack, values and culture allows me to strategically craft my sourcing plans and creative outreach.  I source for roles across Canada, the US, and the UK.

Leading our Employer Branding strategy, I am growing the ecobee talent community. I am doing this by expanding our sponsorship strategy, growing our presence on social channels, and collaborating with our internal Marketing team and People Operations team to convey our employer value proposition internally and externally.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS AND AREAS OF OWNERSHIP:
• Maintaining strong average sourcing metrics; open rate of 73%, response rate of 46% and interest rate 
   of 28% 
• Designed and launched ecobee's first-ever LinkedIn Ambassador program for employee social media advocacy
• Created the ecobee EVP from scratch (a 60-page deck used both internally and externally to improve retention rates, offer acceptance rates and employer brand power)
• Manage LinkedIn channel, create written content, graphics and videos for posts and maintain an average engagement rate of 5.07% on all 'ecopeeps' content
• Increased ecobee's LinkedIn following by 9.65% in H1 2023 (page following now over 26k)
• Co-Leader of the ecobee Acts Working Group; managing internal CSR programs, timelines, external partnerships and OKR's quarterly

Noibu

As the first Talent team member at Noibu, I wear a variety hats and am taking on the first iteration of many projects. I am working on building the recruitment function from the ground up. 

I am responsible for full recruitment cycle, employer branding and social media, ensuring amazing candidate experience, and held accountable to metrics such as: time to hire, quality of candidates, offer acceptance rates, and manager NPS. 

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS AND AREAS OF OWNERSHIP:
• Successfully hired 50 roles across all departments within the first 10 months in my role (hired for Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, P&C, CS, and Marketing)
• Sourced for candidates on difficult to fill roles, maintaining an open rate above 80%
• Launched new ATS for Noibu (Lever) and onboarded 80+ users
• Maintaining a consistent offer acceptance rate above 80% 
• Created and launched the first iteration of Noibu's general talent strategy, and technical talent strategy (including referral program, interview process(es), candidate scorecards and more)
• Draft job descriptions with Hiring Managers, ensuring Noibu's values are highlighted throughout
• Documented all talent-related programs processes, and trained new hires as necessary
• Ongoing Lead on several employer branding initiatives (Engineering Blog, social media presence, event attendance and more)
• Active Chair of Noibu's Women in Tech committee (we work to advocate for women and non-binary folks in tech, and get involved in our community to offer mentorship, workshops, webinars and networking)

I’ve always been someone driven by connection. I knew I would build a career focused on building relationships and helping people. Although it took me a while to find recruitment, my years as a people manager in retail helped me to grow into the recruiter I am today. Over my time leading people, I built expertise in coaching, training, recruiting/hiring, sales, operations, order management, customer service, and more. It was with all of that in my toolkit that I moved into Human Resources and Recruitment.

As a queer and chronically ill woman (anyone else out there with Crohn’s or Colitis?!) I am very passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. I believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to speak up and support each other in the workplace. Advocating for myself or others may not always be easy, but I know it's what's right. My goal in my work (and life) is to make sure that everyone around me feels welcomed, supported, and cared about.
