Someone asked if my last post photo was really me.

It wasn't. It was AI.

I've been testing Higgsfield AI  capabilities, and honestly? The results are unsettling in the best and worst ways.

The good:
→ Branding visuals and mockups in minutes, not days
→ Creative concepts without booking a studio or photographer
→ A consistent aesthetic across every piece of content

The uncomfortable:
→ Sometimes it looks *too* real — like uncanny valley, but make it skincare ad
→ When people can't tell AI-me from real-me, I genuinely have to pause
→ The ethical lines around hyper-realistic human likenesses are still blurry

None of that makes me less excited about where this is going.

If this is the baseline in early 2026, I don't know what to expect by the end of the year — and that feeling is equal parts thrilling and worth paying attention to.

Something interesting we learned at The VC Fellowship 👀👇

In VC, returns don’t come evenly.

My dad casually mentioned he has four resumes.. at 52 and that’s how he works remotely. 

He explained that one is for GHL, one is for sales, one is for paid ads, and one is for community and VA work, because depending on the role, it makes more logical sense to present himself differently instead of forcing everything into a single title.

It blew my mind, how non-linear and chaotic that sounds especially for him but his explaination makes total sense… and ideally he’d definitely be a threat to my job (xD)

In startup life, problems don’t come with job descriptions, AI keeps changing what roles even mean, teams are getting smaller, and being able to do a little bit of everything is far more useful than being boxed into one niche.

Let this be a signal that if your career looks messy on paper, you might not be lost, you might just be building range for the world that actually exists.

I don’t think LinkedIn works because you post better. I think it works because you’re plugged into the right people.

A friend told me recently that he keeps getting active opportunities on LinkedIn because of my algorithm.

My connections. That’s the part most people miss. They underestimate the value of their network: it trains your feed and warms your convos all at the same time. 

This is a simple framework I use: 

Network → Algorithm → Opportunity
	
- The people you connect with shape what you see and learn daily.
- Their engagement improves your signal.
- Their network opens doors through referrals and second-degree trust.

What it looks like in practice (for me): 

1. People my ICP already follows - VCs and investors 

2. My ICP itself - in my case, startup founders and builders >$5M+ ARR

3. Influencers in the startup economy who understand LinkedIn deeply, their engagement curates better posts, better signal, better news

4. Growth and GTM roles at startups, to follow real journeys and learn from what’s actually working

5. LinkedIn and GTM agencies - For their network and second-degree audience. 

Treat connections like it’s infra and the backbone of your profile, rather than measuring numbers. 

PS: Adding some networking openers In a doc: comment “network” for it.

a lot of people might unfollow me for this, but if you’re deleting Claude from your stack as a writer, it’s a blunder. 

I edit 70+ ai generated posts every week, and I use Claude as a content assistant, thought curator and a pressure tester… 

this is how (exactly) i use it: 

- give it my messy thoughts about a post, ask Claude to ask me more questions to make it an in-depth post. 
- then use the tone document, so outputs sounds like the client. 
- give it proven copy frameworks and viral post libraries, so it suggests angles, not just paragraphs.

The internet is divided into two parts i.e., ai and anti ai, that’s the wrong debate. 

The real problem is how you use it, is it to save time or just be lazy? 

PS: Save the exact prompt system I use with Claude (that I then edit and ship)?

Claude Writing Systems

A year and a half ago, I joined a startup that didn’t fully exist yet, with two founders, a vague idea around an AI newsletter, and a loose belief that a real product would eventually emerge from it.

It wasn’t a rational decision on paper, and a lot of people around me didn’t see the appeal, but I wasn’t joining for the idea as much as I was joining for the people building it.

The first signal came from an early business call where there was no pitch, no performance, and no attempt to sound impressive, just a great vision, urgency, and a founder who was building because he couldn’t not build. 

The second came once I started working closely with the team, where leadership looked less like delegation and more like training, participation, and showing up inside the work.

Then the uncomfortable part happened.

I overpromised, results didn’t land the way I expected, the contract collapsed, and the money went down to half on paper, the obvious point to walk away.

I didn’t.

Not because it was easy or safe, but because the learning curve was real and leadership didn’t disappear when things got messy, and that phase taught me more about execution, communication under pressure, and what real ownership looks like than any stable role ever could.

Today, I see a lot of people choosing startups for optics - funding announcements, brand names, LinkedIn clout, in the same way I see founders chase vanity metrics instead of customers or outcomes.

Here’s my thesis: ideas are not progress, money is not progress, and followers are not progress, they’re just tools, and they only matter if the people building are willing to show up when the work is uncertain, unglamorous, and still invisible.

That’s also why early-stage startups need representation on LinkedIn, because at that stage, people aren’t really betting on products yet, they’re betting on the people behind them.

The internet is being haunted by the 'Ghost in the Machine.' 

I’ve edited 70+ AI posts this month, and I'm starting to see the same cardboard posts. 

The internet is quietly splitting into two categories:
- content that feels generated, and 
- content that feels inhabited.

Here are a few patterns by ai, I can spot in my sleep: 

- The “not X but Y” construction doing rhetorical work without saying anything new.

- Generic scenarios with no time, place, or consequence.

- Openers like “most brands” or “99% of people don’t…” that could apply to anyone and therefore mean nothing.

None of these are wrong individually.

They fail when they stack, and when no human taste intervenes.

Founders and operators who don’t try to sound “good at content,” but still command attention because their writing carries specificity. Opinions. 

Mild friction. The sense that it came from experience. 

People remember texture, sipping a cup of hot tea on a chilly December morning will always outperform sipping tea. 

A good written piece has to have taste.
