I derive great fulfillment from conducting virtual tailor-made training programs for various academic institutions and incubators, helping illuminate their blind spots and inspiring action towards achieving their business or personal goals.

Additionally, I serve as a #virtual advisor to IMT Ghaziabad and Runway, both esteemed business incubators.

Creating a safe space for leaders and businesses to freely express themselves and explore potential collaborations for business or shared interests is another area where I find fulfillment. My motivation for community building is rooted in my experiences with 91springboard, a leading coworking space company in India.

Sigrun is a prominent business coach and mentor from Iceland with a large European audience. As Growth Marketer, my role was to increase organic leads. I did this by experimenting with a number of tactics involving podcasting, funnel creation and automation, email marketing, and social selling.

Out of all the tactics we used on Team Sigrun, the one that paid off the most, was the LinkedIn lead generarion system I developed.

My first entrepreneurial venture was a retreat centre and community development project in Sri Lanka.

Three months after we'd finished renovating and opened it to the public, the pandemic hit and forced my fellow founder and I to return to our home countries.

I thought I'd go back to reopen, but prolonged lockdowns and heavy restrictions made that increasingly unlikely.

I recently stumbled upon our mission statement:

"To create a scalable and replicable sustainable development model that enables local communities to harness and benefit from the surf and yoga tourist industries, while also advancing in a climate-conscious manner.

We envision a world where all people find sustainable, holistic peacefulness through yoga, vegan food, and nature via surfing.

As young women, we intended the Uhana Collective to inspire girls and women globally to overcome gender barriers and achieve their aspirations.

By fostering an environment of surfing, yoga, and healing, we aimed to empower our clients to better their lifestyles and grasp the importance of global environmental action.”

Reading it still makes me nostalgic.

Six months after returning home, I had no choice but to let go, close the centre we'd renovated, and pivot back to my marketing career in Europe.

If you'd asked me three years ago where I'd be today as I sat in my old room in my Dad's house, midway through the pandemic, crying as I said my final farewell to the Sri Lanka Project... 

I would have said something along the lines of "advancing my career, managing a team, and making bank."

I never thought I'd have the life I live now.

I've made my own career. 
Manage a team, for my own business. 
And I'm making more bank than Molly 3 years ago would have ever believed possible.

I hope my story shows that just because something was once your dream, doesn’t mean you have to chase it forever. Choosing to let Sri Lanka go was one of the best decisions I ever made, even though it didn’t feel like it at the time.

If you aren’t getting followers

LinkedIn’s algorithm now rewards who gets remembered.

How do I know?

LinkedIn rolled out two new metrics that tell us what the platform actually values: 

Saves and Sends.

Think about that for a second.

They’re not just measuring clicks or comments anymore.
 They’re measuring what people want to revisit and share privately.

That means the content that performs now is the kind that makes people say:
 → “I need to come back to this” 

or
 → “I need to show this to someone.”

Create content with this in mind and you’ll get more reach. 

And with more reach comes more followers.

If you have an emdash in your marketing copy, I will never give you my money

(because I already know what happened)

You opened ChatGPT and typed: 

“Write me a high-converting post.”

Hit copy–paste.

Then posted on LinkedIn.

The emdash is the dead giveaway so is your “Here’s the truth” summary.

When you treat AI like a shortcut, you get copy that sounds like everyone else.

And it is a shortcut… but not to anywhere positive.

It fast-tracks your way to flatlining your growth,
ruining your voice, 
and breaking all trust with your potential clients.

I’m not saying don’t use AI.

I’m saying use it as an assistant, not your replacement.

The Nielsen Norman Group created a framework to help you write prompts that’ll give you copy that sounds like you:

→ C = Context: who you are, who you’re speaking to, and why it matters.

→ A = Action: what you want it to do, not just what you want it to know.

→ R = Rules: tone, format, banned words, spelling preferences.

→ E = Example: show what good looks like. Feed it your best work.

Social media is not your business

(even though I know it feels like it is).

But when your content is flopping,

and you’re getting no new leads

despite all the effort you put into staying on top of trends and posting regularly…

it’s hard to see past socials and focus on the bigger picture.

When I worked in Marketing, we had a team of 10 to cover the jobs you do in a day:

So please don’t feel guilty if your socials aren’t taking off immediately,

you haven’t gone viral yet,

or you still haven’t onboarded new clients this month.

You are wearing a lot of hats.

If you’re still commenting under competitors’ posts

(and relying on them for your clients)

This is how you create your own ecosystem of inbound leads instead of relying on theirs.

Someone recently piggy-backed off my launch.

Not the content.

Not the funnel.

The audience.

The same people who joined my free event.

The leads I spent weeks nurturing.

I see why she did this, the offer that followed that free event made 6-figures and sold out. 

She saw the traction and she saw it was working.

And while she’ll probably get a few sign-ups, she’s collecting scraps from a system she doesn’t understand.

Because I’m not reacting to the market.

I am the market.

I built the ecosystem.

She’s trying to survive inside it.

Inbound marketing isn’t about chasing trends or riding someone else’s coattails.

→ It’s about owning your traffic source.

→ Creating demand instead of borrowing it.

→ Becoming the person others have to orbit around.

Reach out if you want to stop chasing other people’s clients, and start attracting your own.

If you aren’t making sales

(you’re probably skipping the most important step)

The one before the sales call.

Everyone talks about their “closing rate.”

But no one talks about how most of those calls should have never happened in the first place.

Closing a sale does not start on the call. 

It starts in your DMs.

When someone reaches out, that is not your signal to sell to them.

It’s your chance to filter.

Ask questions that show authority and qualify whether this person is actually worth a call or not.

→ Find out how problem-aware they are

→ If they are actually in a situation to invest

→ If they understand the value of your solution 

And, most importantly, promise me you will never say a vague “how’s business going”… 

Because if you do, you’ll get vague answers.

You can’t qualify a serious buyer with small talk. 

You qualify them with authority.

And if they don’t respond, deflect, or show little interest. 

Move on. 

LinkedIn is literally full of people who take their growth seriously and are ready to invest in it.

Focus on them.

You’ve built a job, not a business.

Work-life balance doesn’t magically appear the moment you quit your 9-to-5.

I’ve helped over 2,000 entrepreneurs build online businesses.

Most fall into one of four traps:

	1.	They don’t grow as fast as they hoped, so they overwork trying to “catch up.”

	2.	They get an early win, get hooked on quick cash, and burn out chasing it again.

	3.	Their spending grows with their income (no, you don’t need another Chanel bag).

	4.	They never hire and stay stuck as a glorified solopreneur instead of becoming a CEO.

When I started, I made a vow:

To never work Fridays and to live a life by the beach.

That sounded dreamy, but it came with sacrifice.

Living on a remote island meant fewer speaking gigs and collaborations.

If I’d worked corporate hours since day one, I’d have hit a million by year two.

I would’ve gone from a 50k salary to seven figures in eighteen months.

But I didn’t.

Because I didn’t leave corporate to stare at another screen all day.
I left to live.

The real flex isn’t hitting seven figures.

It’s designing a business that runs without you.

Freedom isn’t found in working more.

It’s found in building better.

There is no such thing as two ICPs

(as HubSpot learnt the hard way)

They started out speaking to two audiences,

small businesses and enterprise.

Two completely different worlds.

→ Different goals

→ Different buying journeys

→ Different messaging

At first, it worked. 

Then they hit a wall.

Their sales team was stretched.

They even had two completely different marketing strategies. 

Their brand felt confused.

So Hubspot rewrote the narrative.

Instead of “small businesses and enterprise,” they started saying,

“We help growing businesses scale with inbound systems.”

They didn’t change their product at all.

They didn’t even stop serving enterprise.

Instead, they fixed their positioning so both audiences fit under one clear story.

They rewrote the narrative so the messaging *sounded* like one audience.

And, most importantly, one ICP.

If you aren’t getting likes

(you probably aren’t getting sales either).

Because content that flops rarely converts.

The algorithm doesn’t reward what people don’t care about.

And buyers don’t buy from what they don’t remember.

Please stop throwing posts out hoping something lands.

If your content doesn’t make people stop, think, and trust you enough to hit the like button..

They are not going to buy.

This is how you write in a way that gets likes AND converts,

Miss one and the post falls on deaf ears.

Too much story and it lacks authority.

Too much proof and there is no connection.

Too much teaching results in no action.

No link and the lead gets lost.

I risked my entire career for this.

Is it just me or…

is there never a right time to start a business as a woman?

In your mid-twenties, you’re building your career.

By 30, you’re established, but your body clock is ticking.

By 35 society expects you to have had a solid career, 
be married, 
and have had at least one baby.

That’s why so many women stay in jobs they’ve outgrown. 

They plan on having kids eventually and don’t want to lose the safety net of maternity pay. 

Or they’re too busy trying to compete with the men in the office to build something for themselves.

I did both.

I went on contraception that stopped my cycle because I couldn’t afford to be off my game 

(and loose out to the men whose bodies weren’t screaming for rest for 5 days every month).

And I stayed in a job I hated because I knew I was going to be married soon,

and hoped a baby would follow, so unpaid maternity leave felt risky.

Eventually, the discomfort of staying outweighed the fear of leaving.

So I left.

Started my business.

And now, just over 2 years later, I have a 7 month old baby.

I have also just made my old corporate yearly salary in a week.

Turns out the safety net of a corporate career was actually just an illusion.

The job you tolerate can be taken away in an instant.

But the business you built can’t.

Why is nobody talking about how Alex Hormozi is a copycat. 

(that is how he made $100m and sold 2 million books). 

While everyone else is hyping up the Guinness World Record and the crazy sales numbers, 

I was paying attention to the sales strategy.

And thinking, 

Hmm this looks familiar. 

He copied his exact strategy...

From himself. 

Last book launch he pitched the exact same way:

1. Set up the value of the product

2. Show proof it delivers

3. Anchor it to a high “real world” price

4. Reduce the investment. Again. And again.

5. Until the final number feels like a no-brainer

That is called price anchoring.

And it is literally one of the oldest strategies in the book. 

It works because our brains don’t evaluate numbers in isolation.

They compare.

$5000 feels huge… 
↱ until you’ve just been shown $50,000 worth of value.

$100 feels like pocket change… 
↱ when thirty seconds ago you thought it would be $1000.

There is a reason Hormozi is the OG. 

This is it.

I’ve made $83k in the last 3 weeks

(and I’m not even done launching yet).

If things keep going at this rate, it’ll be a $100k month.

All inbound and organic.

When your brand speaks clearly, your content sells for you.

You attract buyers who already trust you.

Most creators are still posting like it’s 2019.

Meanwhile, premium buyers are quietly buying from people who know exactly how to position, message, and move with integrity.

P.S: this is my last post about LinkedIn Unlocked, next cohort starts same time next year (October 2026).

Now that the launch is finally over, I can spill the tea.

I had to fire someone in my busiest month of the year.

That meant mid-way through this launch I was an employee down.

And it was my first one as a new mum.

(I was literally spacing out sales calls to nurse the baby).

A week in, I realised I couldn’t keep doing it all: my job, their job, and the launch itself. 

Something had to give.

So I removed Instagram (13k followers) and TikTok (6k followers) from the equation. 

I hired a designer to repurpose my LinkedIn posts for Instagram and schedule them. 

Then deleted both apps from my phone for the entire launch. 

I chose to compromise this way for two reasons: 

1. They were a distraction

↱ I knew if I tried to do everything, I’d do nothing well. So I focused on one platform… LinkedIn.

2. My mental health

↱ Instagram drains me, it’s noisy, performative, and makes me question whether I’m doing enough.

When I stopped trying to be everywhere, everything shifted. 

I went from feeling overwhelmed and incapable to feeling totally unstoppable. 

I gave 1000% to LinkedIn. 

It delivered. 

This new mum just had her first ever $100k launch. 

Everyone except one referral was an inbound lead from LinkedIn.

If you needed a sign to stop trying to do it all, this is it.

Master one platform, then let it work for you.

I was today years old when I realised,

most of the rules about starting a business
were made up by random white dudes on the internet.

You can actually just… 

Start.

It’s been just over a week since I launched my second online business Sitting Pretty Agency. 

We’re already about to hit capacity.

I estimated ten clients in the first month.

Onboarded my team accordingly.

And now, one week in, I’m hiring and training new people.

Because those first ten spots are almost gone.

There was a gap for done-for-you LinkedIn inbound services.

So, I filled it.

Most people overcomplicate business.

Because that’s what we’re taught to do.

They build complex systems to an offer 

↱ before finding out if anyone even wants it.

They spend hours designing a logo before knowing what will convert their audience.

Everything is built based on guesses instead of proof.

I don’t do that.

And now, you won’t either.

Next time you spot a need, don’t overthink it.

Don’t listen to all the dudes, 
doubt yourself, 

Then end up doing nothing.

My husband lost his job

(while I was on maternity leave)

So I panicked and made some silly decisions.

In the moment he received the email letting him go I forgot who I was.

I forgot that pre-baby I made multiple five figures every month.

And went into full scarcity.

I listed our villa on Airbnb.

The same villa I designed myself and built from the money made in my first year of my online business. 

And I rented a smaller house for us to live.

Something cosy and cute.
