We recently completed a VP of AI search for a successful PE backed cybersecurity company ($200mm+ revenue) that wanted to use AI in a very specific and practical way. 

This wasn't a company experimenting with product market fit. This is a company with an established platform, 1000's of customers, and real expectations tied to performance and growth. 

This wasn't a company saying, "We need AI because everyone's saying AI."

They were asking a better question.

"How do we leverage AI to make an already successful product meaningfully better for our customers?"

That changes the profile entirely. 

On paper, there are plenty of strong AI resumes. Deep ML backgrounds. Impressive research experience. PhDs who can speak fluently about models and experimentation. 

But they weren't looking for theory. This search required a leader who could operate inside a production environment, ship real features, improve customer outcomes, and tie AI investment directly to revenue and retention. 

We mapped roughly 75 candidates with both cybersecurity depth and oversight of production level AI feature development. 

We submitted seven. 

And there was a placement within six weeks who started earlier this month. 

This is the type of search that makes the work we do fun.
