I’m Sabrina, I’m known as the No Bullsh*t Entrepreneur, because I say things how they are. I prefer to keep things real instead of portray a life of constant success and happiness. 

 Now, I like to consider myself pretty happy and successful, but life just ain’t perfect all the time… so why pretend that it is online?! 🤷🏽‍♀️

This year, I’m filled with gratitude, even though it’s arguably been the worst year of my life. 

But it’s because I wouldn’t have been able to get through it without some genuinely kind people who have been there for me. 🥰

Rochelle Hibbert: my legendary creative manager. Many bad employees have come & gone, but Rochelle has always stayed by my side. During the most difficult parts of this year, Rochelle has stepped up, managed clients excellently and helped keep the lights on, allowing me to take the time out that I needed. 

Natalie Connor: the most incredible friend, but also kickass lawyer around. I already know she's a vibe to hang with but LegalEdge handled a legal case for me this year while I was dealing with grief... made it as stress-free as possible, getting me the outcome I wanted too!

→ This is what someone said to me yesterday. 😢

“And you don’t exactly scream success”

These words have sat with me ever since and I can’t shake them off. 

I’ve been running my own business for 18 years, and I STILL can’t be trusted. Because of the way I look. 😫

I was introduced to someone yesterday at a WeWork, as someone who was “an excellent marketing consultant, who could definitely help grow your brand”. 

But they did not trust a word I said. They laughed at every major brand I worked with saying: “No way they would have trusted you.” 🤦🏾‍♀️

They were more vocal about it than usual, so I decided to ask specifically what it was. 

“Well, you’re wearing trainers for starters”

I was like WTF? Shoes determine trust? And they were Prada trainers anyway haha 😅

“You have to bring your dog to work and you’re sitting in a WeWork - you’re obviously not that successful.”

I chose to work out of a WeWork yesterday for a change of scenery and because they’re dog friendly. 🐶🐶🐶

I was excited that I GET to bring my dog to work! I didn’t think it was a negative. 

It really threw me off, because when I’ve dressed smartly and been in fancier places, I have been told that I’m clearly trying too hard and so that doesn’t build trust. Successful people don’t need to try. 

And when we had our own branded offices, I was told that it was too shabby and it would look better if I was in a coworking space that was modern and new.
 
So, what on earth do I do?! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Who knew trust and respect was so dependent on image?

I guess I understand why so many people BS their way through business. 

My worry is - if I have nearly 2 decades of experience, a portfolio of clients, great testimonials and still can’t demand respect, is the game just completely rigged to those with a better image?! 🤔

I’ve been doing my bullsh*t roundups for a while now, but the questions I always get asked is HOW I know.

Now, I like to get my Jessica Jones on, so I dig harddddddd into people and speak to a lot of sneaky confidantes. 🤫

BUT, there are also clear signs.

So, I’m starting my How to spot a bullsh*tter series, where I help you work out who is legit and who is not.

Part I: The fexpert with a big following.

🚨 Bullsh*t SCAM alert! 🚨

Don’t get caught out by yet another sophisticated-sounding scam designed to scare you into spending money you don’t need.

I’ve now received multiple emails from so-called “legal professionals” telling me someone is trying to register a trademark for my business name - and that I have 24 hours to act, or I could lose everything.

At first glance, these emails seem very official:

⚖️ Quoting the Trade Marks Act
📨 Using an SRA ID number
💼 Linking to what looks like a legitimate application process
⏳ And applying pressure with phrases like “final notice” and “we will proceed without your consent”

But, it's all bullsh*t!!! The truth is:

👉 There is no legal requirement for a solicitor to contact you like this
👉 There is no 24-hour rule under UKIPO
👉 No one has filed anything - they’re just trying to get you to pay them to register through their service

It’s not a trademark conflict... it’s a sales funnel.
Sprinkled with some legal urgency for added effect. 

I'm taking the time to file a formal complaint agains this guy, because he's using his position of authority to scare entrepreneurs out their hard-earned cash. 

This isn’t just one shady person either - it’s a wider pattern of manipulation that targets entrepreneurs who don’t know how the trademark system works. 😢

These people know exactly what they’re doing. They rely on your fear, and want you to panic.

And too many people are falling for it.

Stay safe and spread the word. I don't want people to fall for this bullsh*t.

I've had many DMs from people SHOCKED that bullsh*t happens in business!

"Surely people wouldn't be that dishonest to win work?!?" 😱

Oh honey, I kinda wish I were that naive too. 

I guess I used to be. And in some ways, I still can be. 

I WANT to believe the best in people, but they keep showing up with new ways to deceive. 

A lead came in off the back of my How to Spot a Bullsh*tter post as they were gutted they didn't see it 6 months ago. 💔

In that space of time, they've lost £33k on a personal brand "guru". 😢

Promising the earth and only delivering engagement pods and vanity metrics. 

These are NOT the only dirty tactics being used at the moment. 

Small business owners are being targeted, and I've done a video on some of the biggest scams atm.

I sent one cold email on behalf of my client and earned her £46k.  🔥

I’ve totally got the outreach strategy down to an art, and my results are incredible. 💪🏽

Yes it took a fair amount of research, I approached the right person, and I spent a long time crafting the perfect email… but it was totally worth it. 

BULLSH*T!

So yeah, I won her a £46k client which started with a cold email.  

BUT, it wasn’t just down to me perfecting the email! It was also down to the fact she’s a complete badass at what she does, she has tons of experience and incredible case studies, and we’ve been working on her brand reputation across various different channels. 🙌🏽

So, when the email landed, everything else added up. 

Plus, it took months to convert!! 🥵

Please stop taking things in isolation and painting the picture that suits you. 
Also give credit where credit is due!!

Your job as a marketer is sooooo much easier, if your client is legit and is willing to put in the work too.

I watch around 20 hours of TV a week. 

Apparently this means I’ll never be successful 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

👎🏽I also don’t wake up at 4:30am to “get ahead”...
👎🏽I don't meditate and shout affirmations at myself in the morning
🤭I love my booze and rarely go a week without drinking
🤭I love cake and crisps and don't take loads of supplements 

According to most of the gurus, I'm a total and utter failure. 

But yet, I feel like I've got a kinda comfortable life...

💕 I own my own three-bed, two-bath flat in Zone 2, London.
💕 I travel abroad at least once a month, plus regular staycations.
💕 I’m a member of multiple private members’ clubs.
💕 I have multiple wardrobes full of designer clothes.
💕 I have a busy, healthy social life and go out a couple of times a week.

To me, this is pretty successful, as I'm living a life I actually enjoy.

To others, that won't be enough - no yacht, no lambo, no giant house with a pool etc. 

But that's why you need to carve your own definition of success. 

The bigger lie is this idea that following a guru’s checklist guarantees anything... it doesn’t. 

I do pretty much the opposite of what they preach and still get great results.

🙌🏽 Turns out discipline doesn’t have one aesthetic.
🙌🏽  Ambition doesn’t require suffering as proof.
🙌🏽  And productivity isn’t cancelled out by joy.

So, I'm gonna go back and rewatch the entire MCU timeline, in between an entire week of football that's lined up. 

But watch me still smash my goals while doing it. 

Turns out success doesn’t mind if you enjoy your life.

Is AI just ruining everything when it comes to entrepreneurship? 🤔

Because I can’t genuinely think of anything it’s made better. 

😫 I don’t understand what businesses do because it’s filled with BS buzzwords
😫 Everyone sounds exactly the same online, despite the “custom GPT”
😫 People have lost the ability to think…because they don’t need to
😫 No one actually has an opinion anymore - they just agree
😫 Creativity? Pah - it’s all just generic AF now

I am TIRED of speaking to robots… and guess what? I’m not the only one!!!

Do you really think that AI is making you sound better? It’s actually EMBARASSING. You sound stupid. You really do. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Everyone can tell it’s AI. You’re not fooling anyone. 

Those who bumlick you in the comments are only doing it for their own personal gain, not because they think you’re insightful. 

Honestly, if you have any self-respect left, go pick up a damn book - read how a human sounds for a bit. Better still - go SPEAK to someone; go touch some grass! 🌾

You AI-shaggers may think you’re being super productive and getting ahead of the pack, but you’re not.

Please STOP doing everything yourself because "no one else can do it right."

I see too many business owners drowning in tasks that have nothing to do with their zone of genius, yet they refuse to delegate because they're convinced only they can do it properly.

If you're already overwhelmed, try this instead:

1️⃣  Write down everything you did last week
2️⃣  Circle what ONLY you can do
3️⃣  Everything else gets a system or a person
👉🏾  Start with one task...just one

Then build from there:

1️⃣  Document the process (even a messy video works)
2️⃣  Find someone hungry to learn
3️⃣  Accept 80% as good enough to start
🤔  Improve over time, not on day one

My 1st executive chef started as our line cook. Most skills can be taught. What can't be taught is attitude.

Don't escape a 9-5 just to trap yourself in an unpaid apprenticeship.

What to try instead:

📌  Log how many hours go to client delivery vs. business building
📌  If that ratio is 90/10, you've got a structural problem
📌  Carve out sacred time weekly — zero client work, only system creation
📌  Recruit for hunger, develop for competence

Your company should fuel your life.

Not devour it.

It boils down to a few basic ideas:

Profit, freedom, integrity, and common sense.

There's lots of good owners out there.

Lots of people building sustainable businesses.

Lots of people who refuse to sacrifice their life for their company.

1. You love building systems more than doing tasks.

Real owners get excited when something runs without them touching it. 
If you set up a process that works while you're sleeping...you're an owner — even if you still jump in sometimes.

2. You love tracking what actually makes money.

You know the "numbers don't lie". 
Most folks guess. The smart ones check. 
An owner knows exactly where the revenue comes from and who the top 20% of clients are. 80/20 Rule.

3. You value time more than ego.

Few understand the true trade they make when they insist on doing everything themselves. 
Owners know that time is the only currency that matters. 
You can get more money. You cannot get more time.

4. You aren't chasing busy.

Owners know that being slammed every day isn't success — it's a trap. 
Working 80 hours a week for yourself is still working for a bad boss. 
If it doesn't make money, it doesn't make sense.

5. You have ridiculously high standards for how you spend your hours.

Some call this delegation. 
I call it ROTA: Return on Talent Allocation. If you're the owner, you can only afford to do what only you can do. 
Everything else needs a system or a person running your system.

6. You pursue building the business over perfecting the craft.

If you stay stuck in the work because you're "the best at it," you've built yourself a cage, not a company. 
The mission is to work ON the business, not IN it.

7. You know the difference between self-employed and business owner.

Most entrepreneurs don't own businesses. 
They've created unpaid internships for themselves. 
They quit a job to become their own intern.

TAKEAWAY

Ownership isn't about distance from the work…

It's about building something that can breathe without you.

It's about making decisions that protect your time.

And it's about refusing to trade your life for an unpaid internship.

Because ownership isn't a title.

It's a state of mind.

Just sayin'.

All money isn't good money.

Obvious or nah?

Actually this saying speaks to the owner's understanding of their 
👉🏾 pipeline
👉🏾 profit margin
👉🏾 and revenue ops. 

🎯 Pipeline, because a dry pipeline will put them in a scarcity mindset. That desperation will then drive them to accept any job at any price point, just to get something on the books. 

But did that job actually meet your requirements for minimum viability? Did the sale price cover your cogs? Did it allow you to pay your self? Did it cover the overhead to complete it? If the answer to any of those questions is no...that was bad money.

🎯 Profit margin, because not having financial insight will produce blind spots. Blind spots won't even let you see that the job is not making money. If the homework wasn't done before to understand how much it costs to run the operation, then at a minimum a post mortem should be run after every job to understand the viability. 

Were there any unexpected expenditures to execute this job? With all the receipts, and invoices accounted for with this job, what were the percentages for labor, operations, and cogs? Was travel included in this job? How did you cover your administrative costs? No insights on these elements, will let them gobble up your profit = bad money.

🎯 Revenue ops (operations), because without defined processes for executing the job, that cowboy mentality will eat up profit every job. Worse yet, it will impact retention. Clients are coming to you for an experience. If they liked that experience so much that they return for it again. How will you deliver it to them if you have no defined process? If you have no process why are you even taking jobs? Do you have the capacity to fulfill that job? What is your capacity? Your reputation will suffer and you will pay for it in the future. So that = BAD MONEY.

As the leader you cannot be blinded by the bag. Don't chase the bag, chase sustainability. Chase measured growth. Chase common sense.
