For the past 10 years, I have helped multiple tech companies (including big tech, startups and scaleups) and investors define growth strategies. This process has led me to sit on boards and advisory boards. It also led me to evaluate the power of social media channels, including LinkedIn, X and Instagram among others. Today, I reach millions of people through my education-driven approach. 

I launched the Scouting for Growth podcast in December 2021 and then pushed the podcast to full swing in 2022. I realized then that only 30 percent of growth ventures received investment from investors, and very few succeeded in commercializing with corporations. 

The Scouting for Growth podcast is produced weekly. It addresses the topics of corporate venturing, collaboration, and investment. It targets tech ventures, investors, and corporate executive leaders seeking to understand the key ingredients of digital transformation and growth in a fast-paced AI world.

The latest SAS and IDC Data and AI Impact Report just dropped last week 30 September, and it reveals a critical disconnect leaders can't afford to ignore.

We're in a state of "AI trust paradox." The report shows that while 78% of organizations claim to fully trust AI, a staggering only 40% have invested in making their AI systems demonstrably trustworthy through governance, explainability, and ethical safeguards.

This isn't any longer just a philosophical debate, right? It's a direct hit to the bottom line for many enterprises. The report proves that tangible ROI from AI is directly linked to trust. Trying to scale AI on weak data foundations is like building a skyscraper on quicksand.

Here are my key takeaways for leaders:

📌 The Trust Dilemma is Real: The gap between perceived trust and actual trustworthiness is where value is lost. We're adopting human-like AI, like Generative AI (81% adoption), faster than we're securing it.

📌 Move Beyond Cost-Cutting: The lowest ROI from AI comes from simply trying to save money. The real wins are in market share growth and enhanced customer experiences.

Change management prowess led to several industry awards, recognition in mining publications and sharing thought leadership on industry panels at Future of Mining and Minerals Week.

I aimed to co-create, strengthen and evolve the organisational culture to unify sites and locations. This involved baselining the current state through collating and analysing  data, engaging the workforce to more vividly paint the desired future state (along with the associated traits and behaviours that exemplify it), maximising leader impact through leadership support materials, role modelling and case studies, "activating" the desired culture into BAU, and determining a set of measures (and thus surveying mechanisms) to enable identification and closing of cultural gaps. 

Levelled up change capability by developing a toolkit of materials such as introductory workshops, reference guides, assessment templates and customised worksheets to enable scoping, diagnosis, planning and management of change.

Managed change for the digital transformation at one of the most innovative and technologically progressive mining companies.

My role satisfied my thirst for transformation, renewal and growth. I sat at the axis of technology implementations and people impacts. I unleashed my inner geek and played with toys on the bleeding edge of tech. 

Machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, bots, drones, crowd sourcing, data and advanced analytics are just some ways we drove value - safely, effectively and efficiently.

I made digital real through execution of my sustainable change framework: building top-down support, uplifting digital capability, integrating digital into organisational and site processes, and developing a systematic approach to bringing external learnings back into the business to increase performance. 

Together, this created a strong foundation to drive adoption of digital tools and cultivated an innovative culture.

I was the GPMO change and communications lead for multi-million dollar projects spanning technology, structure, process and people, impacting +23,000 employees across the seven continents.  This necessitates highly developed interpersonal skills, analytical ability and a flair for effective communication which transcends culture, ethnicity and geography.

The projects I managed respond to the challenge of working smarter by reducing cost,  increasing productivity or compressing schedules. I increased technology adoption and nurture innovation-focused mindsets.

I found myself at an invite-only Halloween ball in Bali — part fashion fantasy, part social spectacle, and all-out experience.

It was the first of its kind.
It wasn’t just another event.
It was a masterclass in orchestration.

Hospitality set the stage.
F&B kept the momentum.
Entertainment built the emotion.

Family Offices can teach big business a thing or two about change.

Last week, I chaired the World Family Office Forum Asia in Hong Kong — two days of deep conversations with some of the region’s most influential family offices, investors, and advisors.

On the surface, it was about capital, portfolios, and diversification.

But beneath it? It was about change.

Generational change. Market change. Identity change.

And the more I listened, the clearer it became — family offices wrestle with the same challenges as large organisations I’ve helped transform across six continents.

👉 Both are navigating competing priorities — purpose vs profit, tradition vs innovation.
 👉 Both must adapt to disruptive technologies, new regulations, and shifting expectations.
 👉 And both often underestimate that the hardest part of change isn’t strategy or structure — it’s people.

Because whether it’s a boardroom or a family dining room, transformation is deeply human.

It runs through relationships, values, and stories that money alone can’t fix.

One session explored “Innovation with Heritage” — how next-gen leaders can expand into new industries while protecting the family’s identity. 

Another examined how to “Scale Impact” — proving that returns and responsibility can coexist. 

And a favourite moment? When I joked that “digital assets split a room faster than Trump.” (It did.)

But humour aside, the lesson was timeless:
The families that endure are those who treat change not as a threat to legacy, but as its proof.

That’s as true for a 200-year-old family business as it is for a global enterprise.
